[24] The path of life leads upward for the wise; they leave the grave behind.
1 - Life is a journey. Which path will you choose?
    Jeremiah 6:16 NLT
[16] This is what the LORD says: "Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, 'No, that's not the road we want!'
2 - Upward paths have downward rivers
    Psalm 65:11 NLT
[11] You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
3 - Jesus is the entrance to the path of life
    Isaiah 53:5-6 NLT
[5] But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. [6] All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all.

Part 2 - Staying on the path of life
    Proverbs 4:25-27 NLT
[25] Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. [26] Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. [27] Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
1 - Gods Word keeps us on the path of life
    Psalm 119:105 NLT
[105] Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
2 - Grace keeps us on the path of life
    Romans 9:31-33 NLT
[31] But the people of Israel, who tried so hard to get right with God by keeping the law, never succeeded. [32] Why not? Because they were trying to get right with God by keeping the law instead of by trusting in him. They stumbled over the great rock in their path. [33] God warned them of this in the Scriptures when he said, "I am placing a stone in Jerusalem that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. But anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced."
3 - A clean heart keeps us on the path of life
    Psalm 139:24 NLT
[24] Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
    詩篇‬ ‭139:24‬ ‭RCUV

    *The 4 Faith Guys*
(Luke 5:17-26) One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. (18) Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. (19) When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. (20) When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” (21) The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (22) Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? (23) Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? (24) But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” (25) Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. (26) Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”

(Luke 10:29) But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
(Luke 10:30) In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.
(John 10:10) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

(Luke 10:31) A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
    2. So too a Levite …. (crowd’s response: yay! Yes! …. Oh no!)
(Luke 10:32) So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
    3.…But a Samaritan (crowd’s response no! no! ….Oh I get it!)
(Luke 10:33-35) But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. (34) He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. (35) The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
(Luke 10:36-37) “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” (37) The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
(Proverbs 11:24 MSG) The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.

    Daniel‬ ‭6:3, 6-7, 10‬ ‭GW‬‬
This man, Daniel, distinguished himself among the other officials and satraps because there was an extraordinary spirit in him. The king thought about putting him in charge of the whole kingdom. So these officials and satraps went to the king as a group. They said to him, “May King Darius live forever! All the officials, governors, satraps, advisers, and mayors agree that the king should make a statute and enforce a decree. The decree should state that for the next 30 days whoever asks for anything from any god or person except you, Your Majesty, will be thrown into a lions’ den.
When Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went to his house. An upper room in his house had windows that opened in the direction of Jerusalem. Three times each day he got down on his knees and prayed to his God. He had always praised God this way.

    Matthew 14:22-33 NLT
[22] Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. [23] After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone. [24] Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. [25] About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. [26] When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”[27] But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” [28] Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” [29] “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. [30] But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. [31] Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?” [32] When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. [33] Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed.

    John 4:45-53
When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, for they also had been there. (46) Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. (47) When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. (48) “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” (49) The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” (50) “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.” The man took Jesus at his word and departed. (51) While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. (52) When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.” (53) Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed.
