(Luke 5:1-11) One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. (2) He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. (3) He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. (4) When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” (5) Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” (6) When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. (7) So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. (8) When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” (9) For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, (10) and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” (11) So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.

(Luke 5:7) So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

(Colossians 3:23-24) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (24) since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

We are stronger together

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NLT

3. You will have amazing influence

NEHEMIAH 8:10

THE ENTRANCE OF GOD’S WORD SHOULD BRING JOY

John 15:11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Psalm 19:8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

Nehemiah 8:5-8 Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up. (6) Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground. Nehemiah 8:9

Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

GREAT JOY

Romans 3:10, 20 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; (20) Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

1. 祝福家庭和職場

2. 祝福我們的能力

Blessing houses and work place

(Psalm 100:4) Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

2. Blessing our strength

(Deuteronomy 2:7) The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.

(Deuteronomy 33:11a) Bless all his skills, Lord, and be pleased with the work of his hands.

3. Blessing people

(Numbers 6:24-26) “The Lord bless you and keep you; (25) the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; (26) the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

(Genesis 37:2-5) This is the account of Jacob’s family line. Joseph, a young man of seventeen, was tending the flocks with his brothers, the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives, and he brought their father a bad report about them. (3) Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made an ornate robe for him. (4) When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him. (5) Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.

(Genesis 49:1-2, 28) Then Jacob called for his sons and said: “Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come. (2) “Assemble and listen, sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel. (28) All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing appropriate to him.

I am that 1 that Jesus went after

1. Forget the past
