    John 21:15-17 NLT
[15] After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him. [16] Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. [17] A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.
If you love the shepherd you will love his sheep too!
    Hebrews 6:10-12 NLT
[10] For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. [11] Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. [12] Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.
    Matthew 28:19-20 NLT
[19] Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. [20] Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Experience the joy of a life changed by Jesus
    Philippians 4:1 NLT
[1] Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work.

  • Fight the Good Fight

    Video: http://hongkong.mylifehouse.com/tv/message/fight-the-good-fight
1 Timothy‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
    The common battles
    1. Battle of selfishness
James‬ ‭4:1-2a‬ ‭NLT‬‬ What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them.
    2. Battle of forgiveness
Hebrews‬ ‭12:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
    3. Battle of convenience
Romans‬ ‭7:21-24‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?
    Fight with spiritual weapons
    2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.
    1. Get a weapon of faith through the Word of God
Ephesians‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭- 17 NLT‬‬ In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
    2. Surround yourself with the right company of people
Ephesians‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
    3. Get your power from spirit of God
    1. 和自私爭戰
    雅各書 4章1 -2節(CUV)
    你們中間的爭戰鬥毆、是從那裏來的呢.不是從你們百體中戰鬥之私慾來的麼。你們貪戀、還是得不著.你們殺害嫉妒、又鬥毆爭戰、也不能得.你們得不著、是因為你們不求。
    2. 和寬恕爭戰
    希伯來書 12章15節(NCV) 你們要小心,免得有人失去了 神的恩典;免得有苦根長起來纏繞你們,因而污染了許多人;
    3. 和方便爭戰
    羅馬書 7章21 -24節(NCV)
    因此,我發現了一個律,就是我想向善的時候,惡就在我裡面出現。按著我裡面的人來說,我是喜歡 神的律,但我發覺肢體中另有一個律,和我心中的律爭戰,把我擄去附從肢體中的罪律。我這個人真是苦啊!誰能救我脫離這使我死亡的身體呢?
    用屬靈的兵器爭戰
    歌林多後書 10章3 -4節(NCV)
    我們雖然在世上行事,卻不是按照世俗的方式作戰,因為我們作戰所用的兵器,不是屬於這世界的,而是在 神面前有能力的,可以攻陷堅固的堡壘,
    1. 從神的話語中得到信心的兵器
    以弗所書 6章16 -17節(NCV) 拿起信心的盾牌,用來撲滅那惡者所有的火箭;並且要戴上救恩的頭盔,拿起聖靈的寶劍,就是 神的道,
    2. 和合適的隊員一起
    以弗所書 4章16節(NCV) 全身靠著他,藉著每一個關節的支持,照著每部分的功用,配合聯繫起來,使身體漸漸長大,在愛中建立自己。
    3. 從神的靈得到力量
    約翰一書 4章4節(CUV)小子們哪、你們是屬 神的、並且勝了他們.因為那在你們裏面的、比那在世界上的更大。

    James 1:5-8 AMP
[5] If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God Who gives to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. [6] Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind. [7] For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything he asks for from the Lord, [8] For being as he is a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), he is unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything he thinks, feels, decides.
    The resurrection changes everything
    1 Corinthians 15:1-7 MSG
[1-2] Friends, let me go over the Message with you one final time—this Message that I proclaimed and that you made your own; this Message on which you took your stand and by which your life has been saved. (I’m assuming, now, that your belief was the real thing and not a passing fancy, that you’re in this for good and holding fast.) [3-9] The first thing I did was place before you what was placed so emphatically before me: that the Messiah died for our sins, exactly as Scripture tells it; that he was buried; that he was raised from death on the third day, again exactly as Scripture says; that he presented himself alive to Peter, then to his closest followers, and later to more than five hundred of his followers all at the same time, most of them still around (although a few have since died); that he then spent time with James and the rest of those he commissioned to represent him; and that he finally presented himself alive to me.
    Mark 3:20-21 NLT
[20] One time Jesus entered a house, and the crowds began to gather again. Soon he and his disciples couldn’t even find time to eat. [21] When his family heard what was happening, they tried to take him away. “He’s out of his mind,” they said.
    John 7:5 NLT
[5] For even his brothers didn’t believe in him.
    1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV
[18] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
    Ask our generous God
    James 1:5 NLT
[5] If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking
    2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV
[8] And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
    Romans 8:1 NIV
[1] Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace
    Matthew 11:28-30 MSG
[28-30] “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
    你們中間若有缺少智慧的、應當求那厚賜與眾人、也不斥責人的 神、主就必賜給他。
    歌林多後書 9章8節 (NCV)
    神能把各樣的恩惠多多地加給你們,使你們凡事常常充足,多作各樣的善事。
    羅馬書 8章1節 (NCV)
    所以現在,那些在耶穌基督裡的人就不被定罪了;
    學習自由旋律的恩典
    馬太福音 11章 28 -30節(NCV)
    你們所有勞苦擔重擔的人哪,到我這裡來吧!我必使你們得安息。我心裡柔和謙卑,你們應當負我的軛,向我學習,你們就必得著心靈的安息;我的軛是容易負的,我的擔子是輕省的。”

  • Pressed, but Not Crushed!

How to respond to impossible pressure
2 Corinthians 4:7-9 NLT We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. [8] We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. [9] We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
    Unload onto Jesus
Matthew 11:28 NLT Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will
    give you rest.
2 Corinthians 12:8-9 NLT Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. [9] Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
    Know who you are
1 John 3:1 NLT See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
Know what God says about your future
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT [11] For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 119:143 NLT As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands.
    Philippians 3:13-14 NLT
[13] No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, [14] I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

    Matthew‬ ‭8:5-10, 13‬ ‭NLT‬‬
When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him, “Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.” Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!
Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, “Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.” And the young servant was healed that same hour.”
Our faith can be assured because:
    1. Jesus is the one and only
Matthew‬ ‭8:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.” Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.”
Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.”
    2. This is the right way

“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”
    ‭‭
    3. Your prayers will be answered
Matthew‬ ‭8:10, 13‬ ‭NLT “When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!
Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, “Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.” And the young servant was healed that same hour.”
Matthew‬ ‭21:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬ You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.

[12] When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.” [13] But He said to them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people.” [14] For there were about five thousand men.
Luke 9:14-17 NKJV For there were about five thousand men. Then He said to His disciples, “Make them sit down in groups of fifty.” [15] And they did so, and made them all sit down. [16] Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. [17] So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.

[11] Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? [12] And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? [13] “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”
1 Timothy 6:10 NKJV For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
    True Riches
Luke 16:9 NKJV ”And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.
John 12:1-6 NKJV Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom He had raised from the dead. [2] There they made Him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with Him. [3] Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. [4] But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, [5] “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” [6] This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.

Heart for the House – Week 2
Malachi 3:6-7 NKJV[6] “For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. [7]Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the LORD of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’
Malachi 3:8-12 NKJV [8] “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. [9] You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. [10] Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. [11] “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts; [12] “And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the LORD of hosts.
    Tithing is a test
Malachi 3:10 NLT [10] Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
    Tithing is biblical
Matthew 23:23 NKJV [23] “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
Hebrews 7:8 NKJV [8] Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives.
    Tithing puts God first
Proverbs 3:9-10 NKJV [9] Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; [10] So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
Exodus 23:19 NKJV [19] The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God.
Genesis 4:3-5a NKJV [3] And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. [4] Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, [5] but He did not respect Cain and his offering.
    Tithing brings blessing
2 Chronicles 31:4 NKJV [4] Moreover he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to contribute support for the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.
2 Chronicles 31:5-10 NKJV [5] As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything. [6] And the children of Israel and Judah, who dwelt in the cities of Judah, brought the tithe of oxen and sheep; also the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to the LORD their God they laid in heaps. [7] In the third month they began laying them in heaps, and they finished in the seventh month. [8] And when Hezekiah and the leaders came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel. [9] Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps. [10] And Azariah the chief priest, from the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat and have plenty left, for the LORD has blessed His people; and what is left is this great abundance.”
