(Hebrews 13:15) Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.
(Romans 10:9-10) If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (10) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Who Will We Confess After?
(John 10:10) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
(Revelations 12:10) Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
(Luke 4:1-11) Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (2) where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. (3) The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” (4) Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’ ” (5) The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. (6) And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. (7) If you worship me, it will all be yours.” (8) Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’ ” (9) The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. (10) For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; (11) they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ”
1. ‘I am no good’ or ‘I am a child of God’
(Romans 8:15-16) The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (16) The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
2. ‘I am a mistake’ or ‘I am exactly what God desired and made’
(Psalm 139:14) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
3. ‘I am never good enough’ or ‘I am filled with the fruit of righteousness’
(Philippians 3:9) and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
4. ‘I can’t do it’ or ‘I can … Through Christ’
(Philippians 4:13) I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
5. ‘I can’t dream’ or ‘I can dream. The Holy Spirit speaks to me’
(Acts 2:17) ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
6. ‘My future is limited by my past’ or ‘I am ready for a great future’
(2 Corinthians 5:17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
7. ‘I can’t find Gods will for my life’ or ‘show me the way by your Word’
(Psalm 119:105) Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
