    Mark 10:17-27 NLT
[17] As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
    What must I do?
[18] “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good. [19] But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone. Honor your father and mother.’” [20] “Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”
    I’m doing pretty good!
[21] Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” [22] At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.
There is always somewhere that I’m failing…
[23] Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!” [24] This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. [25] In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”
    It’s an impossible test!
[26] The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked. [27] Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
1 – Jesus passed the test with a perfect score
2 – When Jesus died he offered you his perfect score
3 – Receive Jesus’ perfect score, and let it define you
4 – Live a bigger life for Jesus
    Life Group questions and prayer:
1 – Why does looking at our score lead to problems?
2 – How can we recieve Jesus’ perfect score?
3 – How should we live now that we have Jesus’ perfect score over our lives?

Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT) But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
We need this kind of fruit in Hong Kong
Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT) But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
    2. Prepare our heart, let the Holy Spirit produces the fruit in our life
Matthew 13:23 NLT The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
James 1:19-21 NLT Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.
Ephesians 4:26-27 NLT And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
    3. United with Jesus so that we can produce a harvest of fruits
Genesis 49:22 NLT Joseph is a fruitful tree, a fruitful tree beside a spring. His branches reach over the wall.
    Romans 7:4 NLT
So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God.
    Discussion Questions:
Which is the most difficult fruit to be produced in your life?
How do you prepare your heart to produce the fruits?
How do you share these fruits to others?

1 – Giving honour means valuing someone God lovingly made. It doesn’t mean you endorse their behaviour or opinions.
2 – Use your words to build people up, or just stay silent

Psalm 121:1-8 NLT I look up to the mountains- does my help come from there? [2] My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! [3] He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. [4] Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. [5] The Lord himself watches over you! Jesus is watching over our city
Ephesians 4:31-32 NLT Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. [32] Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

(Romans 14:17) For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit
    1. Righteousness
(Isaiah 61:10) I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
(1 John 1:9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
(Romans 1:17) For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.
    2. Joy and Peace in the Holy Spirit
(Isaiah 32:17) The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
    Life Group Questions and Prayer
    1. Are you righteous? Why?
    2. Are you wearing the clothes of righteousness? Peace and Joy?

Mark 9:33-35 NLT After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked his disciples, “What were you discussing out on the road?” [34] But they didn’t answer, because they had been arguing about which of them was the greatest. [35] He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
Paradox: A paradox is a statement that seemingly contradicts itself and yet is true.
“The last shall be first” “最後的要在首位”
Those that serve will get great rewards
Matthew 10:42 NLTAnd if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”
The greatest joy : the reward of people’s lives changed!
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 NLT After all, what gives us hope and joy, and what will be our proud reward and crown as we stand before our Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you! [20] Yes, you are our pride and joy.
1 – Be a part of our story in Hong Kong
    2 – Own your house
Nehemiah 10:35 NIV “We also assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the Lord each year the firstfruits of our crops and of every fruit tree.
    3 – It’s all about people
John 3:16 NLT ”For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

3 – What can we do practically to keep loving those God brings into our church family?

(Matthew 6:24) No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
1.Choose God – love and cling to him
2.Put God and His Word first
(Matthew 6:33) But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
3.Don’t let money rule your life
(1Timothy 6:10) For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
4.Live with a long-term view of life – (prepare now)
(Mark 10:28-31) Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!” (29) “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel (30) will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. (31) But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
    Life Group Questions and Prayer
1.What is the results of God becoming ‘Number 1′ in your life?
2.What is the results of having another ‘Number 1′?
    3.Let’s pray.
