Finding purpose in all seasons
To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMP)
    1. Every new season has its own challenges – God has equipped you!
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. (James 1:5 NLT)
    2. Make the most of the season you are in
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 NLT)
    3. Jesus brings us hope in all seasons of life
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:3-8 NLT)
Life Group questions and prayer: 生命小組討論問題及禱告:
    1. What season of life are you going through right now?
    2. What will you do differently to make the most of the season you are in?
    3. Let’s pray about it!

Jesus is the Lamb of God
John 1:29 NLT[29] The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
    Sheep + Me = Righteousness
1 – We have joy because we are 100% righteous
Genesis 3:21 NLT And the LORD God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife.
    Clothes + Knife = First
    Isaiah 1:18 NLT
“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.
2 – We have joy because we are saved
    Isaiah 61:10a NLT
[10] I am overwhelmed with joy in the LORD my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
    Psalm 30: 1, 11 NLT
[1] I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me. [11] You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy
3 – We have joy because God is with us
    Psalm 16:11 NLT
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
    Galatians 3:26-27 NLT
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.
    Discussion Questions:
Why our good deeds cannot make us become 100% righteous?
    How can we be joyful?
Are you righteous through faith in Jesus? If so, what should our response be? If not, would you like to be?

    The year of the horse
    Romans 3:20 NLT
[20] For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
    Isaiah 64:6 NLT
[6] We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

    Hand + Spear = Me
    The year of the sheep
    John 1:29 NLT
[29] The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
    羊
    Sheep
    Romans 3:21-22 NLT
[21] But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. [22] We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
    Me + Sheep = Righteousness
    义
    Righteousness
    1 – I am 100% righteous. Always righteous.
    Isaiah 61:10a NLT
[10] I am overwhelmed with joy in the LORD my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
    Romans 3:27-28 NLT
[27] Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. [28] So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
2 – I can live guilt free. No condemnation.
    Romans 8:1 NLT
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
3 – I am ready to do something great for Jesus
    Ephesians 2:10 AMP
[10] For we are God’s own handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, born anew that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us taking paths which He prepared ahead of time, that we should walk in them living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live.
    Life Group Questions and Prayer:
1 – Why are our good deeds, never going to be good enough?
2 – How do we become righteous?
3 – Are you righteous through faith in Jesus? If so, what should our response be? If not, would you like to be?

1 – Church holds the power to heal and restore (his name is Jesus!)
    1 Peter 2:24 NLT
[24] He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
    Matthew 7:7-8,11 NIV
[7] “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. [8] For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. [11] If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
2 – Church is a family to belong to
    Acts 2:43-47 NLT
[43] A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. [44] And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. [45] They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. [46] They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity- [47] all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
3 – Church has a calling and a destiny for all of us
    Romans 1:6-7 NLT
[6] And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. [7] I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
    Psalm 92:13 NIV
[13] planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
    Matthew 16:18 NLT
[18] Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
    Life Group Questions and Prayer
1 – How can being planted in a church bless us?
2 – Why should we never give up praying for healing?
3 – How can we be a part of building the church?

    How much does this cost?
John 16:5-7 NLT “But now I am going away to the one who sent me, and not one of you is asking where I am going. [6] Instead, you grieve because of what I’ve told you. [7] But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.
    How can I get it?
Galatians 3:2 NLT Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.
Revelation 3:5 NLT All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.

Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
    1. Don’t let anyone else choose for you
Acts 4:18-20 NLT So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. [19] But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? [20] We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”
    2. Don’t just copy the choices of others
Romans 12:2 NLT Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Matthew 7:13-14 NIV “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. [14] But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

    Luke 5:1-11 (NLT)
One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. 2 He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. 3 Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon,[b] its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there. 4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” 5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! 7 A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
8 When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m too much of a sinner to be around you.” 9 For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. 10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.
Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” 11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.
3 Things You Need To Do This New Year:
    1. Get a vision and believe in it
    Luke 5:10-11 (NLT)
10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.
Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” 11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.
    Mark 11:24 (NLT)
24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
    2. Do the best you can and God will do the rest
    Luke 5:5-6 (NLT)
5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!
    3. Share with others in your world
    Acts 2:40-41 (NLT)
40 Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”
41 Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.
    1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)
9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
    Lifegroup question prayer:
    1. Do you have a vision from God this year?
    2. Do you think you doing your best in Life?
    3. Let’s pray for a vision to share with those around us!
