Hebrews 9:27 NLT And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

2 Corinthians 5:10 NLT For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Jesus : a judge of justice

Psalm 9:7-8 NLT But the LORD reigns forever, executing judgment from his throne. [8] He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness.

Choice 1- To maintain an excellent attitude in life or not?

(Esther 2:7) Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This girl, who was also known as Esther, was lovely in form and features, and Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.

Choice 2- To give up personal freedom and live for something bigger than yourself?

(1 Corinthians 9:22-23) To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. (23) I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Choice 3 – To risk it all for what is right?

(Esther 4:14) For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?

(Esther 4:16b) When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.

I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!” (2 Chronicles‬ ‭1‬:‭7-12 NLT)

3 keys to living a life of wisdom:

1. Seek wisdom

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭9‬:‭10‬ NLT)

Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭2‬:‭4-6‬ NLT)

2. Apply wisdom

Listen to my instruction and be wise. Don’t ignore it. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭33‬ NLT)

Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people. (‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭52‬ NLT)

3. Share wisdom

So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. (‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬ NLT)

Leading = helping others flourish

Acts 20:28 ESV​

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.

Jesus makes you good enough to lead

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 AMP

[5] Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God. [6] It is He Who has qualified us making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant of salvation through Christ, not ministers of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code of the Law kills, but the Holy Spirit makes alive.

Get a noble vision to lead… and start today

[19] Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

When in a testing time… do these 3 things

-Jehoshaphat gets a bad report 約沙法收到一個壞報告

(2 Chronicles20:2a) Some people came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Dead Sea.

3 Things.

1.Cry out to God in a spirit of faith

(2 Chronicles 20:3,6,12) Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. (6) and said: “Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. (12) Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

(1 Peter 5:7) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

2.Look to leaders with courage

(2 Chronicles 20:14-15,20) Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly. (15) He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. (20) Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.”

3.Praise him with a loud voice!

(2 Chronicles 20:21,28-29) After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.” (28) They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the Lord with harps and lyres and trumpets. (29) The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.

(John 1:35-42) The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. (36) When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” (37) When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. (38) Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?” (39) “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon. (40) Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. (41) The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). (42) And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter).

1. Brought to Jesus by his brother

(Romans 10:13-15 NLT) For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (14) But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? (15) And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

2. Jesus meets Peter and gazes right into his heart

(1 Samuel 16:7,12) But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (12) So he sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.”

3. Even before Peter speaks, Jesus speaks a powerful word over his life

(Habakkuk 2:2-3) Then the Lord replied:“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. (3) For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

4. You will be called…

(Judge 6:12) When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

1. Does God want to speak a powerful Word over your life? Will it be positive or negative?

2. How does a powerful word from Jesus motivate us?

3. Let’s pray for clarity and strength to rise up in His Word.

He is the father of us all. (17) As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. (18) Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” (19) Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. (20) Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, (21) being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

1. To bring dead things to life

2. To call things that are not real into reality

3. To answer wild prayers

(Mark 11:22-24) “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. (23) “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. (24) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
