This is a Doctrine and Covenants Podcast for Kids! Our podcast is called Come Follow Me Kids. Come Follow Me for kids that are primary aged 2-12 in the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We follow the come follow me manual from the church but are not officially affiliated in any way. Some audio segments come from the friend magazine and other church sources. On this podcast we play interactive games while learning about the gospel and atonement of Jesus Christ.
If your children would like to be guests on this podcast, please email us at [email protected] They can share their testimony about the restoration of the gospel, or share an experience they had with prayer, the Holy Ghost, or Missionary Work. Make sure they include their name and where they are from in the audio recording. And don’t worry about your recording being perfect, we can edit out mistakes. Any sound file should work.
If your children would like a baptism shout out, email us their name, and where they are from and we will add them to an upcoming episode. Use the same email listed above.
Welcome to the Come Follow Me Kids Podcast! This is a scripture study podcast for children. Specifically; this is a Come Follow Me for Kids - focused on helping your kids learn the gospel! We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and we create this podcast for primary aged children (ages 2-12) following along with the church’s Come Follow Me Manual. We are a game play podcast and engage and entertain children through fun interactive games and stories. This year we are a Book of Mormon Come Follow Me Study podcast for children. We hope you enjoy listening! If your children would like to be guests on our podcast email us at [email protected] and we will send you an assignment for a future week. We are also happy to give your child a baptism shout out as well! Just email us their name, city, and ward and we will give them a baptism way to go! We are not officially affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and refer you to their website for any questions regarding doctrine or gospel information.
This week we learn:
These sections are full of mission calls and instructions from the Lord! Sections 30–36 focus on urging individuals to step up and share the gospel with enthusiasm and faith.
This week we learn about preparing for the spiritual harvest and working together to bring others to Christ. It’s a reminder that sharing the gospel brings joy, blessings, and the opportunity to make a real difference.
I am called to be a witness of Jesus Christ.
Whether or not you have a formal calling as a missionary, you can be a witness of Jesus Christ “at all times, and in all things, and in all places”
If I build my life on the Savior’s gospel, I will not fall.
I should focus more on the things of God than the things of the earth.
Parley P. Pratt had been a member of the Church for about a month when he was called “into the wilderness” to preach the gospel (Doctrine and Covenants 32:2). Thomas B. Marsh had been a member for even less time than that when he was told, “The hour of your mission is come” Orson Pratt, Edward Partridge, and many others had likewise barely been baptized when their mission calls came. Perhaps there’s a lesson in this pattern for us today: if you know enough to accept the restored gospel by baptism, you know enough to share it with others.
