  • 030: Appropriate Wedding Attire for Vendors AND Guests

What to wear and what NOT to wear at upcoming weddings. While Kathy & Christina tend to agree on guest attire, they have varying opinions about what is appropriate for vendors. This topic has made its' way around the internet so it's time they lend their two cents. Just to give you a little taste, here are some quick take-a-ways:

    1. Know the event style/dress code: Casual, Cocktail, Formal Black Tie
    2. Guys iron your shirts, pull up your pants, put on a belt, and wear dark colored socks when dressing for an event.
    3. Ladies, let's put on a bra, light shapewear and maybe a slip. There are reasons for this...side tip....if you are wearing a silky dress, place a panty liner or light maxi-pad under your boobs to absorb sweat. Yep, it works!
    4. Fix your face. You gotta tune in to know what this is about.
    5. Rarely are shorts appropriate...again tune in to learn more!

Alright you've gotten a taste, so now it's time to tune in for a deeper dive into the types of standard attire, tips for guests and a lively discussion about what is acceptable, and why, for vendors.

  • 029: "24 for 24" | Our Top 24 Wedding Day Tips for 2024

Hey there cutie pies! We're back this week to talk about our Top 24 Tips for 2024. In this episode we're chatting about all things helpful. Things you might have thought about, things we're pretty sure you never thought you'd care about and so much more. So what might these things include? Well here are a few but you'll have to tune in for the entire list. And these are in no specific order, just our most helpful advice, tips and tricks cause well you know, we love you and want you to have a fantastical event!

    • Establish a main "point of contact" (POC) for decisions throughout the planning process, and then for the wedding/event day. Of course this should be your planner on the day-of, but if you don't have one (tisk-tisk) then be sure to assign this to someone that's organized, confident and commands attention.
    • Make a wedding website. This one's been around a while but a lot of couples under-value its' necessity. Think about just how many emails you get during the planning process. Dedicating an email will keep your tension down and help you time-block when YOU are ready to respond.
    • If you have feet, break in your shoes!
    • Practice tying your tie.
    • Try on and steam/iron all of your clothes well before wedding day. Simple touches can be done day of.
    • Consider custom menu cards...tune in to why we recommend this.
    • Pack tupperware or strudy/secure "to go" containers. The reason is likely not what you are thinking...it's not for that left over catering food. Extra tip, by health regulations, most caterers won't send home all the left overs anyway. You'll get a snack box, but that's about it. So order wisely when working with catering....this is a whole other topic.
    • The 3-Second Rule...yep, we're gonna make you tune in for this one too!
    • What to do in the last 2-weeks of the planning process. Hint...this also isn't what you think :)

Alrighty, that's enough for now...you get the gist. Tune in for all the dirty deets and drop us a line if you have tips you think we should shout out for our 25 in 2025 list.

  • 026: Rando Wedding Stories

Join Kathy & Christina as they walk along some of the most fun, silly and ridiculous stories we've decided to share in this episode. Sometimes we focus too much on the negative, so this episode is fully dedicated to fun, insightful stories.

You may find yourself in some of these stories, so let's stroll and tell old stories. Examples include the bride that wanted to put potted plants from Lowe's on their guest tables as the centerpieces...which is fine if you don't mind the dirt or the random bug crawling on the table. Or how about the groomsmen that get arrested at the rehearsal dinner or end up in "wedding jail". There's also the one about the guests that get too handsy, the bride that throws up before the ceremony, and how we fan the body parts that get too sweaty....you get the idea. Tune in and enjoy, and you'll probably pick up a couple of quick tips along the way.

  • 024: Social Media 101: Tagging & Collaborating on Instagram

Today we’re diving into something that might hit close to home for many of us—social media etiquette, and why you might not be getting tagged in posts as often as you’d like.

It’s easy to get frustrated when you see your colleagues or counterparts sharing photos of a project you collaborated on, and they don’t tag you. But what if it’s not intentional? What if they’re just moving too fast and forget? Or maybe they don’t fully understand the difference between tagging, collaborating on posts, stories, reels, and all the other options out there.

Today, we’re hosting a Social Media 101 session. We all had to learn the ropes at some point, and now that we’ve got the hang of it, it’s time to share that knowledge so we can all make our social media interactions smoother and more inclusive.

So, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, stick around as we break down the basics. Let’s make sure that the next time you’re working with your vendor friends, everyone gets the recognition they deserve. Tune in, and let’s start tagging!”
