This lecture covers light and optics. It is a physics heavy podcast. I talk first about photons. This includes an introduction to the photoelectric effect and the work function. Next, I briefly talk about waves. Last, I discuss some of the physics applications of light: polarization, diffraction/reflection, and lenses.
