Light Has Dawned

What has God brought you out of, and who needs to hear it?

In this powerful devotional, Omar Calvillo unpacks Psalm 107:2 and the call for every believer to share their story of redemption. Scripture shows a clear pattern. People cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them. But the story does not end there.

We are called to speak.

From Revelation 12:11 to Mark 5, we see that while the blood of Jesus saves us, the word of our testimony becomes part of how victory spreads. Your story is not meant to be hidden. It is meant to bring hope, faith, and encouragement to others who may still be in their struggle.

Whether your testimony feels dramatic or simple, if God has rescued you from sin, fear, shame, or darkness, your voice matters.

This episode will challenge you to stop minimizing what God has done and start sharing it boldly. Your testimony could be the key that helps someone else cry out to God and experience the same freedom.

Listen in and be encouraged to speak what God has done in your life.

From darkness to light. From wrong to strong.

In this From Wrong to Strong Weekly Devotional, Cisco Terrazas reflects on the powerful message of 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, 13 and why love stands above every other spiritual gift. The Apostle Paul reminds us that faith, knowledge, service, and even sacrifice mean nothing without love.

This devotional explores what biblical love truly looks like, how it reveals our identity as followers of Christ, and why love must be the foundation of our faith and ministry. Drawing from John 13:35, 1 John 4:8, and Colossians 3:14, we are reminded that love is not just something God shows us. Love is who God is.

If we want to grow in spiritual maturity, leadership, and influence, we must pursue love above all things. Because when our gifts are expressed through love, they become instruments of grace that reflect Christ to the world.

A short, powerful devotional calling believers to examine whether their gifts are being used through love or pride.

In this episode of From Wrong to Strong Devotional, Omar Calvillo walks through Hebrews 11:35–39 and reveals the side of faith we do not always celebrate. We love the stories of victory, miracles, and breakthrough. But Hebrews 11 also speaks of torture, imprisonment, endurance, and believers who suffered yet were still commended for their faith.

What does real faith look like when God delivers, and what does it look like when He allows the trial? Drawing from Romans 8:18, 2 Corinthians 4:16–18, Daniel 3, 1 Peter 1:6–7, and Hebrews 12:2, this devotional explores promise-based faith that trusts God beyond outcomes.

If you are walking through hardship or believing for breakthrough, this message will remind you that heaven sees both public victories and quiet endurance.

In this week’s devotional, we unpack James 1:18 and the powerful contrast between what sin produces and what God produces.

Sin gives birth to death. We have seen it in broken families, regret, and spiritual emptiness. But God interrupts that cycle. Through the word of truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ, He gives new birth.

This is not behavior modification. It is transformation. When the Word is received by faith, the Holy Spirit brings life where there was once death.

If you have been born again, you are first fruits. Your life is evidence that God is still restoring what sin tried to destroy. And if you feel spiritually dead, the same Word can bring life to you today.

From Wrong To Strong is not a slogan. It is what happens when the Word of truth takes root in a heart.

In this From Wrong to Strong Devotional, Cisco Terrazas reflects on 1 Corinthians 9:19 to 23 and Paul’s powerful approach to ministry. Though free, Paul chose to become a servant. He didn’t compromise truth, but he removed barriers. He met people where they were so they could clearly see Jesus.

This message challenges us to lay down pride, preferences, and personal rights so the gospel can be heard. It’s not about being impressive. It’s about being available. Not chasing approval, but loving people well.

If we follow Christ, our lives should point others straight to Him.

Listen in and be encouraged to serve with humility and purpose.

In this episode of From Wrong to Strong, Omar Calvillo sits down with Renaldo Hudson, a man who spent nearly 40 years incarcerated, including 13 years on Illinois’ death row.

Righteously convicted for a violent crime, Renaldo’s life could have ended behind bars. Instead, it was transformed. Through faith in Christ, education, and deep personal accountability, he rebuilt his life from the inside out.

After receiving two executive clemencies, first from Governor George Ryan and years later from Governor JB Pritzker, his sentence was ultimately commuted to time served.

Today, Renaldo serves as Education Director for the Illinois Prison Project, advocating for rehabilitation, second chances, and lasting change. This conversation covers his early years, life on death row, spiritual awakening, release, and the mission that now drives him. A powerful story of justice, mercy, and redemption.
