Light Has Dawned

Success can quietly test the heart long before it ever tests our skills. In this From Wrong to Strong Devotional, Omar Calvillo unpacks a subtle but dangerous threat that often appears after growth, influence, and promotion: pride. Drawing from 2 Chronicles 26, Proverbs 16, the teachings of Jesus, and the humility of Christ Himself, this message reminds leaders that power does not ruin us. Forgetting who gave us power does.

This devotional is a timely call to remain humble, submitted, and servant hearted as God increases our platform. Growth is not the enemy. Promotion is not the problem. But unchecked pride will always lead to a fall. May we lead like Jesus, with humility, dependence on God, and faithfulness in both public influence and private surrender.

What happens when our plans collide with God’s purpose?

In this episode, Omar Calvillo of From Wrong to Strong Ministries shares the verse the Lord placed on his heart as a guiding word for 2026, Proverbs 19:21. “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”

Out of this Scripture comes a simple yet weighty prayer, “May Yahweh’s purposes prevail.” This is more than a phrase. It is a heart posture.

In this devotional, we explore the tension between planning and surrender, action and obedience, vision and trust. Scripture reminds us that while we are called to plan wisely and work faithfully, it is God who establishes our steps, builds the house, and brings lasting fruit.

If you are stepping into a new season, carrying big plans, or navigating uncertainty in leadership, ministry, family, or life, this message is meant to anchor your heart in peace and realign your focus on what truly lasts.

Let this year be marked not just by activity, but by obedience.
Not just by vision, but by surrender.
Not just by plans fulfilled, but by God’s purposes accomplished.

What happens when God interrupts a life headed in the wrong direction?

In this two-minute devotional, Cisco Terrazas reflects on the powerful transformation of Saul in Acts 9 and the truth that no one is beyond God’s reach. Once feared as a violent persecutor of believers, Saul encounters Jesus on the road to Damascus and becomes Paul, a chosen instrument to carry the gospel to the world.

This message reminds us that God is not limited by human failure, past mistakes, or even evil intentions. What looks unusable to people, God sees as redeemable. He transforms hearts, redirects paths, and uses even the darkest chapters for His greater purpose.

If you or someone you love feels disqualified because of the past, this devotional is a reminder that God is still writing redemptive stories. Sometimes He’s doing far more than we can see.

In this week’s From Wrong To Strong Devotional, we reflect on what Scripture means when it says, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news” (Romans 10:15). This verse isn’t really about feet, it’s about movement, obedience, and a willingness to go.

The gospel was never meant to stay private. One of the most powerful ways God spreads the good news is through testimony. The real stories of lives changed by Jesus. Revelation 12:11 reminds us that believers overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

In this devotional, we talk about stewarding the story God has given you, sharing the gospel with courage, and trusting God with the results. You don’t need a platform, just obedience and a willingness to share what Jesus has done.

If this encouraged you, consider sharing it with someone who needs hope today.

As we close out 2025, the apostle Paul gives us the right posture for moving forward, not regret, not complacency, but purposeful pursuit.

In this final Two Minute Devotional of the year, Omar Calvillo unpacks Philippians 3:12–14 and reminds us that spiritual maturity doesn’t mean we’ve arrived - it means we keep pressing forward. Paul’s words challenge us to let go of both past failures and past victories, fix our eyes on Christ, and pursue faithfulness over comfort, recognition, or results.

This devotional speaks directly to our lives in ministry, our families, and our personal walk with God as we step into 2026. Wherever you find yourself today, be encouraged: the same Jesus who took hold of you is still leading you forward.

Let’s press on - together. In Jesus' Name.

In this episode of From Wrong to Strong, Omar sits down again with Salvador Torres of Christ for Life Fitness for a real, needed conversation about faith, health, and stewardship.

This isn’t about vanity or chasing a look, it’s about honoring God with the body He entrusted to us. We talk candidly about why Christian men often neglect their health, why the church stays quiet on gluttony and discipline, and how our physical lives preach a message long before we ever open our mouths.

Salvador shares his journey from addiction and incarceration to faith, freedom, and fitness, and explains why biblical nutrition, self-control, and accountability are essential for men who want to lead their families, serve the church, and leave a lasting legacy.

In this episode, we cover:

• “Easy now, hard later” vs. “hard now, easy later”
• Why your body is preaching a gospel
• Biblical discipline, self-control, and stewardship
• Faith, fitness, and leadership for Christian men
• Practical steps to invest in your health now instead of paying for it later

If you’re ready to take responsibility, pursue wholeness, and glorify God in every area of your life, this episode is for you.

Christmas is more than a baby in a manger, it’s the beginning of God’s rescue mission. In this special Christmas devotional, Omar reflects on the birth of Jesus and the meaning behind His name: Jesus - Yeshua - Yahweh saves. Before the miracles, the sermons, or the cross, His mission was clear: to save His people from their sins.

This message points us back to the heart of Christmas, God stepping into human history, becoming Immanuel, God with us, to bring hope, forgiveness, and new life. As you celebrate, be reminded that sin has an answer, hope has a name, and His name is Jesus.

Merry Christmas from From Wrong to Strong Ministries.

In this powerful episode of From Wrong to Strong, Julio Aviles shares his raw journey from addiction, brokenness, and a marriage on the brink, into a life transformed by the grace of God.

At his lowest point, everything seemed to be falling apart. Then, in an unexpected moment, God used something ordinary - a radio, to interrupt his path and call him back. What followed was a deep confrontation with truth, surrender, and the beginning of real freedom.

This conversation explores addiction, spiritual warfare, marriage restoration, and what happens when God steps into the middle of our mess. It’s a testimony of hope for anyone who feels stuck, lost, or convinced it’s too late for change.

If you’ve ever wondered whether God can still speak, still heal, and still redeem -this story is for you.

In this From Wrong to Strong – 2-Minute Devotional, Salvador Torres shares a powerful reminder from Romans 12:1: our bodies are meant to be living sacrifices. Physical discipline, stewardship, and obedience are not about perfection, they’re acts of worship. What we do with our bodies reflects who we live for.
