Light on the Hill on Oneplace.com

We enter into a discussion today on Light on the Hill about the government. And the question we’re confronted with is, “Who’s in charge?” And along the way we’ll see why we must stay focused on the main thing in life, the work of the Kingdom. Getting sidetracked with superficial matters will only lead to problems.

If you want a good picture of what spiritual warfare is all about and the way to spiritual victory, keep listening to Light on the Hill. Today pastor James Kaddis finishes Mark chapter seven. We’ll hear how Jesus heals a deaf and mute man, but first we’re introduced to a Syrophoenician woman whose little daughter is demon possessed. Pastor James observes the humility and faith in this woman that’s truly admirable, and something we need in the spiritual war we fight every day.

Life on this earth as we know it is extremely dangerous and getting more reckless by the moment. It’s critical that we maintain safety and security by putting our full faith and trust in God. Without Him, everything falls apart. But when we choose to trust Him, even a very dangerous world can become an exciting and healthy place to live.

We all have questions. Lots of them. And there are answers but only one way to find those out. If you can’t find those answers, you have nobody to blame except yourself! We’ll explain today on Light on the Hill as we finish up Mark chapter eleven. Here Jesus has an encounter with the religious leaders at the Temple. They’re trying to trap Jesus with their questions, and through it all Jesus is about to teach us a valuable lesson.

At various times in our lives God may ask us to do something that seems strange, illogical or impossible. Such was the case in the story before us today on Light on the Hill. A simple request from Jesus to go get a donkey, but it would require great faith to walk in obedience to God. They did what they were asked to do even though it seemed like an impossible task! We’ll be encouraged by their response here today.
