Kirill Kabanov had all the talent to be a first-round selection in the NHL Draft. Controversy surrounded the Russian forward wherever he went. The Islanders selected Kabanov in the third round of the 2010 draft. He bounced between the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL during his two years with the organization.
