You might know Zach Kornfeld from creating and starring in The Try Guys, he is also a best selling author, a podcast host, and more. This is a very powerful short film that takes a comedic look at a very heavy and very real topic. I look forward to seeing what else he directs, writes, and stars in.

So often for people living with disabilities, or any sort of chronic condition, we end up defining ourselves by what ails us instead of by what we love. With that in mind, I set out to make a short that helped audiences understand invisible illnesses -- something that is inherently unknowable -- by filtering my disability through the lens of magical realism, homages, and my favorite genre tropes. To take control of the thing that causes me pain every single day through the aesthetic of the things that give me comfort and joy. The result is Ouch!, a film I hope is as fun as it is cathartic.

Please please please watch Claim to Fame if you aren't already, it's such a great show. Franklin Jonas calls it "the nepo baby olympics". I have been a fan since I first heard the concept and was ready with my tv tuned into ABC for the pilot episode. I have interviewed players from season one and from season two, and now season three. Everyone has been so nice to talk to and the interviews are honestly some of my favorite that I have recorded.

The Kingsman franchise is one of my favorites and not sure why it took so long for me to cover it on the podcast. It is currently streaming (according to IMDb.com) on abc.com, Apple TV+, fxnetworks.com, and MGM+. The first film in the franchise is The Secret Service and is about a spy organization that recruits a promising street kid into the agency's training program, while a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius. It stars Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, and more. It's kind of like a fast paced, edge of your seat, James Bond film.

This was fun to record and I went head to head this time. Hope you enjoy this episode and all the fun sound bytes that came from it.

In preparation H style with Deadpool 3 coming out, I recorded over Deadpool with a friend I made last year randomly in Austin, OHHH JAMES!!!! You may or may not know James, but you have more than likely seen him on TikTok or Instagram with his girlfriend Sam (samramsdell5), who has the biggest gape. James and I started chatting film and tv and built a friendship.

I wasn't going to release this yet, but decided to push back other episodes to make sure this got released the morning of the premier at the Dances With Films Festival. I received an email about this film and all I saw was Uber driver and replied back a yes to screen it and set up an interview. This short film was great and a lot of fun, I'd be excited to see it as a full length film.

According to IMDb, The Pickup is when a bumbling Uber driver picks up a government spy who needs to deliver a top-secret package, he finds himself in the driver's seat of a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. Hope you can check it out in LA for the premier, or at least catch it later when it gets released on YouTube at some point.

This week I had the opportunity to watch a wonderful independent film called Another Day in America and then interview the writer and director of the film, Emilio Mauro.
