Line of Sight

Welcome to yet another quarantine-isode! Today Bret and Chandler take some time to discuss some of the features available on the Warmachine & Hordes version of Wartable, an amazing browser-based app that will be coming out soon for playing games from home! The excitement bleeds through as we go over its UI and systems in a wild frenzy, as well as wander into a few non-warmahordes related topics for possible future side content. Keep an eye out soon for the video of the recent Line of Sight stream in which we showed off Wartable more in depth on our new Youtube channel, which we will post a link for shortly (under construction!), and go follow us at twitch.tv/loswarmachine if you want to be notified when we go live in the future!

On Episode 120 of Line of Sight, the gang is all here to chat about the new

angelic releases for Convergence, and specifically how they fit into list

building in Strange Bedfellows. Bleary eyed and disbelieving, we dive into

the rules for these newly released terrors and talk a little bit about the

way we think the meta is going to evolve to handle them.

With some weeks behind and possibly many weeks ahead with no physical Warmachine on the table, many are getting their games in through Vassal. We take some time to go over the lists for the Vassal league Bret and Chandler are playing in! It's an interesting meta, with international players who wouldn't really see each other normally all packed into a single event. Thanks for listening, stay safe, stay healthy!

Some time ago, we helped run a charity event for a meta in need of a bunch of stuff, and one of our donation options was the choice of a podcast topic. Well, here it be! All three hosts get together and talk all about Caine! We go through a general outline of the character throughout the three main novels he’s featured in, as well as a few other small sources, and take a bit of time to talk about how he actually plays on the table. Stay safe, stay healthy, and we’ll see you next week!

Another year, another Intermountain Cup! Chandler and Bret takes some time to go through Chandler's run with Infernals in the recent Intermountain Cup in Pocatello, Idaho, before we all locked ourselves away in our houses to never leave again. It’s a crazy time out there, be safe, be healthy, and see you next week!

Many lives have been disrupted by the outbreak of COVID-19, and many a gamer is locked up at home. Here we discuss a bit about the the disease itself, as well as what strategies and tools can be used to still get in some good, solid wargaming in the midst of it all. Everybody stay safe out there, it’s a world of empty streets and toilet paper barons, and in times like this we need our great communities most of all!

The first Kickstarter campaign for Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika is in full swing, and we’ve compiled as much information about it as we know into a single cast. Many questions we’ve seen asked a lot, places where more information can be found, and a thorough breakdown of the different tiers and add-ons available await!

The whole (war)cast is here and we are full of vim, vigor, and tons and

TONS of hype! Come have a listen to what we love about the new game

(spoilers: many many things) and what we don't like about it (spoilers: not

much) and experience the magic that is Bret, Chandler, and Jaden freaking

excited about something in one of the most off the walls casts we've ever

recorded!

Our Archon overlords are here to stay, and with them comes the multi-faction theme force, Flame in the Darkness. Join Bret and Jaden as they go over the ins and outs of how this theme works, what to think about when playing with or against the theme, and which unit is even more complicated than the last. Oh, Chandler is here too to make the occasional quip. Join us next week for a rundown of the upcoming play stream of Privateer’s new game, WARCASTER: Neo-Mechanika!

Bret has left us to our own devices tonight, and exhausted from their long days of parenting, Chandler and Jaden go over Jaden’s run at the recent Warfaire Weekend and Iron Gauntlet qualifier event, the Thornwood Throwdown. It’s all Stryker, all the time, and we take the time to go over the list creation process, the matchups, and how each game played out. Thanks for listening, see you all next week!
