Line of Sight

Join Jaden and Bret for a look at the Heretic in Bump in the Night, a list

that they have both played a fair amount to good success. Explore the nooks

and crannies of the theme force and what the Heretic brings to it that is

unique to him. Afterwards, listen to the pair discuss the new terrain type

previewed at LVO - Sandstorms.

Today you get us at our sickest and our most tired as we spend over two hours singing the praises, weeping for our misfortunes, and raging at the dice gods of the fantastic Las Vegas Open 2020! It was a great event, as always, with a special thanks to Tyson and Will for, yet again, running one of the most stellar Warmachine conventions there is year after year. We go over our travels, Champions on day 1, and how the Steamroller Heats and Masters played out. Even the plague couldn’t keep us down next week, but keep an eye out for next week to see if it has claimed our souls by then.

On Episode 109 of Line of Sight we discuss some broadly applicable

questions to consider when you find yourself losing a game of Warmahordes.

This is a game that has tremendous come back potential and there are rarely

cases in which no path to victory exists.

We are delighted to welcome Will Hungerford on to chat with us on his tenth

anniversary of working for Privateer Press making the game we all love so

much. We have a candid discussion about a huge range of topics, from

limited formats (how? when?) to Riot Quest to Monsterpocalypse to impending

Hordes Oblivion and even Jimmy Johns! We have a few sweet spoilers to gush

over and some awesome conversation, so come give it a listen!

Bret and Jaden take you through the two newest Mercenary theme forces -

Strange Bedfellows and Flame in the Darkness - and talk about their

favorite pieces of each. If you didn’t expect us to ever say anything

positive about Mortenebra 1, be prepared for a nice shock!

Today we talk terrain! Terrain is one of the main factors that can make each game of Warmachine a different experience, and if you want to increase your skill, you need to learn how to utilize it. Bret and Chandler take some time to go over their thoughts, ideas, and checklists when it comes to examining and using terrain on the tabletop.

We’re coming close to the new year, and with new years come new Warmachine

goals! What kind of goals should you set for the coming year? What kind of

goals should you set in general? It’s time to talk a bit about managing

goals and expectations to make sure you get the most out of your gaming

experience and time.

On Episode 104 of Line of Sight, Jaden and Bret take a more personal

approach as they discuss the various aspects of the game and community that

they feel thankful and grateful for. A unique episode amongst the annals of

the cast, we hope you enjoy the conversation. Please note: Bret was using a

phone to record this cast with fairly mediocre reception, so the audio

quality is not the best.

Warfaire Weekend has come and come, and all of our hosts are on this week to talk a bit about how the weekend went. Was their first year under new management, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but overall it ended up being a fantastic weekend with friends, food, and of course a ridiculous amount of Warmachine (and Monpoc…)

It’s time for wild speculations! The whole cast is on today to talk a bit about our thoughts and expectations leading up to the very first year of the newly titled Warfaire Weekend! We talk a bit about our invitational brackets, thoughts on the potential of the event itself, and let you know where you can find us throughout the weekend. For those of you travelling while listening, have a safe trip and we can’t wait to see you there, and for those who couldn’t make it this year, we’ll miss you and hope you have a great weekend!
