Line of Sight

Four's a crowd today, as Chandler and Bret have on the illustrious Brandon Owens yet again, this time with special guest Tucker Jackson, both to talk about their placings at the recent Warfaire Weekend qualifier event in Minnesota, the Riverfront Rumble! This event took place the day after the Oblivion theme force changes were made live, and we get some perspectives on building for and playing in an event using the new system.

This week on Line of Sight, Bret, Chandler, and Jaden are all here along

with our awesome guest host Brandon Owens to finish our conversation about

the ego and how it affects competitive play! For part one, check it out

here, it’ll help with the context for this cast.

Additionally, we here at Line of Sight are thrilled to offer our general

Warmachine/Hordes Discord Server! We’ve been putting together a great

moderator team and are excited to offer a positive place to discuss the

game. Please note, this server will be more heavily moderated than the

facebook groups or other discord servers. You can find that here:

https://discord.gg/gWYFqeD

Check out our Community Tournament Calendar! We are receiving submissions

from all over the globe and Jaden is hard at work entering your events. We

aim to update the Calendar every weekend with new submissions from the week

before. From a local Steamroller to a narrative league kickoff to a

convention with Warmachine present, we want to know about it and add it to

the Calendar!

This week’s episode takes a bit of a different turn as Bret and Jaden

invite Brandon Owen’s of WTC Best Coast on to talk about something that he

has put a lot of thought into - the ego, and it’s effect on the ability to

win games of Warmachine. This week we talk about what the ego is in this

context and set out discussing the things required to have a healthy one,

tune in next week for part 2!

It’s here everyone! Today’s cast has the honor of guest starring Jeff

Olsen, who kindly comes along to talk with us about the Oracles of

Annihilation theme force! Come listen to Jaden and Chandler and Jeff go

over the ins and outs of Legions whackiest (by far) new theme!

Episode 87 is here, and Jaden has left us for the land of maple syrup moosen for the week, leaving Chandler and Bret to spend a good bit of time discussing this year’s Rocky Mountain Rumble. We go through the rounds, matchup process, and a general overview of each game. Keep an eye out for more in-depth battle reports of each game as well (with pictures and everything!)

On this week’s episode of Line of Sight, join all three hosts as they talk

about Jaden and Chandler’s Lock and Load experience. We discuss

themepocalypse 2.0, the games we played, and chat a bit about Infernals as

a whole. Don’t miss this one!

The Line of Sight crew is all together for probably the only time in June,

and we have opinions! You won’t BELIEVE what Bret said. Join us for a

rather unstructured look at Lock and Load, predictions for Iron Gauntlet,

and Wild Speculation about all kinds of WMH related content.

For episode 84 of Line of Sight, join Jaden and Bret as they dive once

again into the spookiest faction of them all - Grymkin!

They’ll discuss the new Grymkin releases, explain exactly why the Grave

Ghoul is absurd, rave about the Clockatrice, and then proceed to almost

completely ignore Dark Menagerie to talk about Bump in the Night instead!

Come along for the ride!

On episode 83 of Line of Sight, Chandler leads Jaden along in a discussion about one of the most misunderstood forms of painting: speed painting. Learn some tips, tricks, and ideas for when you’ve got a week left before your event and a hundred points of models to get painted up. Gotta go fast!

For episode 82 of Line of Sight, Chandler and Bret interrogate the wonderful Brandon Owens, winner of the KingdomCon Masters Finals for a slot in the Warfaire Weekend Qualifier! We go over his list pair, a bit about how his games played out, and talk about playing in large events like this and how to think about your games in general.
