An adventure at the Zoo.

This is a story that centres on Max and his adventure at the zoo. Max is an adventurous boy and climbs the wall at the monkey section of the zoo to get a better view. Unfortunately he is then stuck with the monkeys and unable to climb back up. He learns his lesson though.

It is an enjoyable story and one that kids will enjoy. They'll picture themselves as Max and hopefully learn something too. Cute illustrations and a good lesson for kids.

A wonderful little story book for children...

I loved this little book very much. My two grandchildren were very entertained by the rhymes and the well drawn illustrations of the characters. The story also has a lesson in it about the consequences of wandering off by one's self. I highly recommend this book for children ages 4-9...

Cute book with inspirational message

A friend recommended this book to me for our little boy. We loved reading it together (on our iPad, it reads better up, on a single portrait page, than down on the longer, double page). The illustrations were bright and fun, and the wide-eyed little angel resonated with our son.

He loved the part where the little angel leaps - I don't know why, but he laughs every time he sees that picture.

I loved the message "Look within to find your spark, and share with those in need." That's a lesson we could all learn to live by a little bit more. :)

Fun book that is great for young children

This is an adorable little book about boy and his guardian angel, told with a soft rhyming structure that makes it a hoot to read. The book has nice, colorful illustration on every page that look great on my computer screen, also the text is included in the image so you don't need to read the description and then turn the page to see the accompanying picture, which I have exèrience with other kindle kid's books. All in all, a quick, well done kid's book with a fun story that children will love and perhaps learn a few lessons from.

Sweet, heart-warming and comforting for your child!

A fantastic little book! Has a wonderful message for your child, that they have a Guardian Angel watching over their shoulder. The world is often filled with anxiety and insecurity for small children - so it is nice for them to perhaps believe they have their own little "Guardian Angel"! My kids and I love the pretty illustrations and the clever, heart-warming rhymes. This book will definitely be "well-thumbed"!! A great addition to your collection!!

Adorable illustrations, worrisome story

The angel and baby illustrations are adorable. The story itself is worrisome with regard to guardian angels. Clumsy baby guardian angels? Ribbons to tie them to their charges? Oh my. Children will have the wrong understanding of angels if they take this seriously. (I'm always concerned about what is being put into impressionable young minds, so it's the message I'm not fully keen on.) It's a cute story, though, and as an amusing book it makes the grade with great illustrations!

Birthday Fun

This story centres on Meg's birthday and the fun and adventure that ensues.

The story is completely done in rhyme. I am a fan of rhyming as I think it helps learning and recalling information. Unfortunately her pet dog Milo jumps on the cake and things start going awry for Meg. But she learns that it is more fun to share with her friends rather than think only of herself.

A sweet little story that kids will warm too.

Definitely recommended.

Good read

This book was so much fun to read. I wasn't sure my 5 year old would like it, but he did. Doesn't ask for it over and over again , but I will slip it in once in awhile. Worth reading.

A Lesson in pride and follow through

Max is a sure win for the sports carnival! He's been training with the help of his friends for months! But during the race, in his pride, he looks to see how much he's winning by, and as we all know, you can't run properly looking behind you, and he comes in second. How will Max deal with this?

I especially loved the rhyme and rythm of this story. While my sons, 1 & 2, are still on the young side of understanding the lesson of this story, the flow kept their attention, and they sat quietly in my lap to look at the black and white (we don't have a color kindle) pictures, which I also give kudos. Sometimes we can't always tell what we're looking at, but they knew in this book ("Look, Mommy, he's running. He's running, Mommy.").

Meg's Beach Adventure: Little Mates Book 6

She said it was a funny book. She said it was really interesting actually. She also said that it was not too exciting, but it was okay.

Educational and well-written story!

After reading book 1 in the series Little Mates I decided to read another one, and was again pleasantly surprised by its quality. Children will easily relate to the story of Max, Maddi, Meg, Matt and the dog Milo because of the well-written rhyming story-line and the beautiful, naive illustrations. I live near the beach in Holland and have told my kids time and again about the dangers of the sea. A book like this is so much more powerful!
