    Title: Sneezing Jesus
Subtitle: How God Redeems Our Humanity
    Author: Brian Hardin
    Narrator: Brian Hardin
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 3 hrs and 55 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 07-11-17
    Publisher: The Navigators
Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 91 votes
    Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Christianity
    Publisher's Summary:
Are you ready to be human?
Human. God. Two words that jar against each other and yet describe Jesus perfectly. Jesus was fully human and fully divine, which is extraordinary. But he was also ordinary in the most counterintuitive way: His life shows us what normal humanity is supposed to look like. Jesus came to earth to redeem humanity itself, and through him that redeemed humanity is available to us all.
In Sneezing Jesus, Brian Hardin journeys through vivid Gospel stories, pointing to a revolutionary truth: If Jesus was a normal human living a normal human life, then his death and resurrection didn't just save our souls - they save our humanity here and now.

Brian, you were chosen and you answered the call. Thank you for being a messenger, an example worthy of Gods highest graces.
    Wonderful!
This book has opened up the meaning of what it is to be fully human in our inhumane world, well written and easy to understand and yet the message is so powerful. Thank you Brian Harden.
    Amazing book. Amazing truth!
Where does Sneezing Jesus rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Right up at the top of the list.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the point of the story - the story of the humanity of Jesus - and the way it was read by the author, Brian Hardin.
Have you listened to any of Brian Hardins other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to two other audio books by him. This one is the most poignant and dramatic. Worth listening to.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Jesus - fully human, fully divine.
    Any additional comments?
Thank you, Brian Hardin, for this book, and for making it available in this audio format. I love you, brother.
    Wow!!
Loved this. I am not someone who has read the Bible before. Sure, I have read many, many passages and chapters, but never in its entirety. The author really helped me to understand Jesus more and to connect more with him. I just loved it!
Easy listen & read of the Best Message to Spread
Good interpretation of spreading the news of (and the message from) Jesus and of His salvation for all of us.

Title: The Ministry of Intercession: A Plea for More Prayer

    Narrator: Mark Christensen

    Release date: 07-10-17
    Publisher: Aneko Press
Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 5 votes
    Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Christianity
    Publisher's Summary:
If the answer to prayer is so positively promised in scripture, why are there so many unanswered prayers today (often misinterpreted as a "no")? Scripture teaches us that answer to prayer depends upon certain conditions. Christ spoke of faith, of perseverance, of praying in his name, of praying in the will of God. But all these conditions were summed up in the one central statement: "If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." It becomes clear that the power to pray the effectual prayer of faith depends upon the life.
Let Andrew Murray show you what it means to live in Christ, and let his challenge for genuine intercessory prayer change your life - and the lives of those you are praying for.
About the Author: Andrew Murray (1828-1917) was a well-known South African writer, teacher, and pastor. More than two million copies of his books have been sold, and his name is mentioned among the other great leaders of the past, such as Charles Spurgeon, T. Austin-Sparks, George Muller, D. L. Moody, and more.

This book shares how important there is a need for intercessory prayer. This is not just for the heads of churches but for everybody to be a part of. If Christ lives inside you, then you are called to pray for all of mankind whether across the street or the other side of the world, your prayer matters.

Book: Are We Living in the END TIMES? ...
Wonderful accompaniment to the "Left Behind" series. The author, Jerry B. Jenkins, puts together valid arguments, based on the scriptures, to the queston, "Are we living in the end times?" Whether you have read the "Left Behind" series (which I heartily recommend) or not, I would recommend reading this book.
but also to all who have loved His appearing
ARE YOU EARNESTLY LOOKING FOR HIM?
2 Timothy 4:8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
A great book after reading his entire Left Behind Series. I really enjoyed all of them and he is now with the Lord!
Unsettling, unnerving and totally needed wakeup call
Without fake drama or theatrical exaggeration, this book takes the reader through factual time tables. This was a book that confirmed many of my thoughts and forced me to face some things I need to change in my life. God's Word isn't a book of fiction or a long fairytale, it's a reality we all need to face and causes us to really look in the mirror.
Are We living in the End Times by T LaHaye and Herry B Jenikins
I read this after reading the Left Behind Series and it did not disappoint.
Scripturally accurate book on the imminent return of Christ!
Another great book by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, writers of the Left Behind Series of books. They use Scripture accurately to show that the beginning of birth pangs have started and our LORD's return is imminent, although we do not know exactly when. I am enjoying this book. a lot because I know that they treasure the Bible and Jesus and do not make up fake ideas to sensationalize!

  • The Myth of Equality Audiobook by Ken Wytsma

    Title: The Myth of Equality
Subtitle: Uncovering the Roots of Injustice and Privilege
    Author: Ken Wytsma
    Narrator: Mike Chamberlain
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 6 hrs and 34 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 06-06-17
    Publisher: christianaudio.com
Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 19 votes
    Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Christianity
    Publisher's Summary:
Is privilege real or imagined? It's clear that issues of race and equality have come to the forefront in our nation's consciousness. Every week yet another incident involving racial tension splashes across headlines and dominates our news feeds. But it's not easy to unpack the origins of these tensions, and perhaps we wonder whether any of these issues really has anything to do with us.
Ken Wytsma, founder of The Justice Conference, understands these questions. He has gone through his own journey of understanding the underpinnings of inequality and privilege. In this timely, insightful book, Wytsma unpacks what we need to know to be grounded in conversations about today's race-related issues. And he helps us come to a deeper understanding both of the origins of these issues and of the reconciling role we are called to play as ministers of the Gospel. Inequality and privilege are real. The Myth of Equality opens our eyes to realities we may have never realized were present in our society and world. And we will be changed for the better as a result.
    Members Reviews:
Relationships on this side of heaven are essential
Race, Injustice, Privilege and related ideas are common discussions in the political world. And that is part of the problem with discussing them inside the Christian church. Quite often our understanding of issues that have any relationship to politics are based more on our political bias and background than our Christianity. It is not that our Christianity is unimportant to our politics, but our politics matters to what we think is important within Christianity.
Ken Wytsma has a very clear purpose in writing. He is a White pastor writing primarily to White Christians about race and inequality. He is doing that because he thinks that at least some readers will listen to him in ways that they have not been listening to minority Christians talk about race and inequality.
Section one is mostly a summary of history and illustrations of why inequality exists. It is a very good summary of a numbers of issues, from government involvement in housing segregation and inequality to the role of the criminal justice system in creating and perpetuating inequality to migration patters since the civil war. Inequality is a vast and complex matter.
Wytsma is summarizing the work of others here. In a short section he cant give the depth that books like Warmth of Other Suns or Slavery by Another Name or New Jim Crow or the host of other in books that have the space to look deeply at different aspects of history, race, inequality and injustice. As a summary, this section is one of the better looks at the variety of ways that inequality has come to be in place in just a few pages.
Section two brings theology into the conversation. That conversation then necessarily looks at what the kingdom of God understands justice to look like. Wytsma asserts that the gospel is concerned with justice and any attempt to separate justice from the gospel changes the gospel away from its inherent focus on relationship (between God and us and between communities of humans) into individualism.
Wytsma traces the theological shift from Christianity as a communal understanding to the individualism of revivalism and personal relationships with Jesus. He is not denying the importance of an actual relationship with God.

    Concise history with actionable commentary
I thoroughly enjoyed this brief overview, categorized by century. The author gave just a taste of the names, movements and theologies, but enhanced the historical recap with his own line or two of commentary. I appreciated this additional perspective to orient how that particular century contributes to the overall health of worldwide Christian efforts and progress.
    Very helpful
A "Cliff Notes" version of church history, accessible to the lay person, though not dumbed down. This book hits the highlights in each century while drawing helpful comparisons to our own day.
    Excellent short intro!
Highly recommended for those in the local church looking to get more familiar with church history! Pastors definitely check it out!
    Greay and quick overview

Nice high level review of church history

    Publisher's Summary:
    Christian, meet your conscience.
What do you do when you disagree with other Christians? How do you determine which convictions are negotiable and which are not? How do you get along with people who have different personal standards?
All of these questions have to do with the conscience. Yet there is hardly a more neglected topic among Christians. In this much-needed book, a New Testament scholar and a cross-cultural missionary explore all 30 passages in the New Testament that deal with the conscience, showing how your conscience impacts virtually every aspect of life, ministry, and missions. As you come to see your conscience as a gift from God and learn how to calibrate it under the lordship of Jesus Christ, you will not only experience the freedom of a clear conscience but also discover how to lovingly interact with those who hold different convictions.
    Members Reviews:
Excellent book on an important topic!
The Christian life is unique and simple. We are called to obey God's will. However, God has also chosen to equip us all with different personalities, interests, cultures, skin colors, and languages. This makes living life according to God's will all the more challenging especially since we are called to live it out in a diverse community of individuals and not a simple homogenous society. This book helps serve as a quick guide for navigating the edges or grey spaces of our faith traditions. I very much enjoyed reading it!
Great book covering a very important topic
Great book covering a very important topic. Our Bible study class in our church is currently going through a study, using this book as the basis for our study. God's word specifically mentions our conscience many times (30 times in the New Testament) and the importance of our conscience being properly aligned with the truth. Our conscience, itself, is a gift from God, and we must be fully aware of truth, otherwise our conscience can lead us toward making wrong decisions and having wrong understandings.
An edifying addition to my library
I read this book as I travelled with Andy Naselli to the Middle East. We saw first hand how various churches lived in love with each other to serve refugees from areas of surrounding conflict in constructive ministry to the glory of God. They demonstrated the principles of this book. The chapter on cross cultural ministry was the capstone of this excellent book on the conscience. Read this book to the end. It will help you grow in Christ and be fruitful in ministry.
It is an "approachable" book -- that is -- readable. It is a biblically based book -- that is -- trustworthy. It is a practical book -- that is -- based on personal experience of the authors.
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all men generously and without reproach". This is one of the answers to that prayer.

Jude is the only book devoted entirely to the great apostasy. Jude is the "vestibule" to the Book of Revelation.

Billy Graham shares God's gentle, reassuring promise of spiritual calm - of authentic personal peace - amid a personal life wracked with too much stress, too many burdens, too great a heartache.
In Peace with God, Billy Graham asks God to help this book "find its way into the hands and hearts of a lost, confused, and searching world...men, women, and young people everywhere [who] thirst for peace with God."
In spite of a life drenched with responsibilities and rewards, are you thirsting? Searching for some nameless thing that is more important than anything in life? You are not alone. All mankind is seeking the answer to the confusion, the moral sickness, the spiritual emptiness that oppresses the world. All humanity is crying out for guidance, for comfort...for peace.
Reverend Graham shares God's gentle, reassuring promise of spiritual calm - of authentic personal peace - amid a personal life wracked with too much stress, too many burdens, too great a heartache.
"I know men who would write a check for a million dollars if they could find peace," writes Reverend Graham. "Millions are searching for it. But we Christians have found it! It is ours now and forever. We have found the secret of life! When your spouse dies or your children get sick or you lose your job, you can have a peace that you don't understand. You may have tears at a graveside, but you can have an abiding peace, a quietness.
"God's peace can be in your heart - right now. Whatever the circumstances, whatever the call, whatever the duty, whatever the price, whatever the sacrifice - his strength will be your strength in your hour of need.
"It's all yours, and it's free. You don't have to work for it. Do not put it off."
    Members Reviews:
    Outstanding!
I have always held Billy Graham in the highest regard, but I've never actually read his works cover to cover. For that reason, I had no basis on which to give my opinion in regard to anything other than his oratory work. This book brings to the forefront almost everything that I need to work on in my life. He seems to leave nothing out; pointing out sin and what we must do to ensure our eternal salvation. The thing that was of greatest interest to me was his convictions on things that are relevant today that cause so many of us to fall far short of meeting God's minimal expectation. Every Christian should read this; every non-Christian should also read it so they may reflect upon their beliefs - whether they consider themselves to be a Christian, agnostic or atheist. This is, as of yet, the best book that I have listened to using the audible app. I intend to purchase it next on Kindle so that I can highlight certain portions that apply directly to me. All in all, a must read!

    Publisher's Summary:
Reframing your perspective can transform your life. We often face circumstances that we cannot change - a job we are forced to keep, a relationship that did not work out, a decision we cannot take back. The stress of life can overwhelm us, and we may not see past the obstacles in our path. In the face of unwanted challenges, we may despair over our lack of control and long for an easier way out.
Laurie Short offers a simple but revolutionary idea: change nothing that is around you yet still change everything about your life. With the help of four different lenses, Laurie shows how the way you see can have an impact on how you live. If you put on the right lenses, you can reframe whatever comes your way and embrace both the good and the bad, recognizing that every detail of your life is fully in God's sovereign hands.
Jesus indicates the power of focus when he says, "The eye is the lamp of the body, if the eye is good then the whole body will be full of light." It's the easiest way to find lasting meaning and purpose. Change nothing, but see differently. Your perspective has more power than you think to determine the course of your life.

This could chang everything for you.
Laurie has done a great job of helping us look at our life with a big view. Viewing it from above, looking back and looking forward. I found it especially helpful in helping me see how past events, good and bad, have impacted my life today in a positive way. She is so good at weaving her personal experiences through the fabric of the book to illustrate her points. Putting this perspective into practice could very well "Change Everything.
