    Dragons. Right.
Teenage girls don't believe in fairy tales, and 16-year-old Elena Watkins was no different - until the night a fairy tale killed her father. Now Elena's in a new world and a new school. Oh, and the only way Elena's going to graduate is on the back of a dragon of her own.
Teenage girls don't believe in fairy tales. Now it's time for Elena to believe - in herself.

    Not Bad
Definitely a teen drama. It got mired down in the angst a bit too much, in my opinion. By the end it had a storyline that has potential to turn into an excellent plot line.
    Couldn't Stop Listening!!
This was a thrilling story from beginning to end. I love Elena's story so far. The only thing the bother me a bit was the way the romance between her and Lucien happened so fast. However, that can just foretell about the future development in their story. Erin Moon's narration is perfect. She voices each character distinctly and makes the story come alive. Can't wait for the next book!!
    disappointed
Saw the positive reviews, listened to a few seconds and thought why not. I've never returned a book before, but I couldn't take it anymore. The book is way too much about teenage angst and the narrator's accents can be nasally and nearly insulting.
    Excellent story
I loved this story and had trouble stopping. I listen as I drive truck and kept listening when I was near the end. lots of highs and lows.
writing was excellent and Erin Moon did a great job with the voices!
This is the story of Elena who lived with her dad and moved every 3 months. Things go wrong one night when he says it's time to move against and they are attacked by Dragons!
Read of Elana as she finds out her dad is a dragon and losses him all in the same night.
Her life gets really interesting when she ends up in a school of Dragons and finds out everything she though was a fairy tale was real!
    Best Dragon story ever!!
Surprised by how much I enjoyed this story!
All I can say is that when I first started listening to this story I thought that I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this YA book. I found some of the writing a bit simple and the expressions somewhat childish for teenagers of this age. But I love stories of dragons and lore and quests and destiny, and decided to continue listening. I'm glad I did because I found that I became invested in the characters. Though somewhat predictable I still enjoyed the book and plan on listening to the next one.

    Grand Ending
This book ties a lot of things together for the series. it certainly leads to a lot of predicted outcomes in the last book of the series. The final battle I can only hope will be epic.
This series just gets better and better
Would you listen to Legion again? Why?
Yes because it's great, gripping and it's one of my favorite series.
What other book might you compare Legion to and why?
Throne of Glass series for it's emotion, shock and gripping endings.
Have you listened to any of the narratorss other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes a few of them but I can't name all of the books. They are very similar to their past for their pace, character voices and emotion that brought their characters life. I really like multiple narrators. One it provides more of the story and two feels like a movie.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
So many to choose from. Anger, shock, joy, sadness, fear, and a mixture of others.
    Any additional comments?
I love this series. It just gets better and better. The narrators were amazing. Can't wait for the next one!
    I've had enough, thank you
I have been enjoying this series and I recommend it for the fans, but after going through life and death situations and being on the run, you would think that Ember would have matured a little. After 11 chapters, when I got to the "I'm bored" (again) and "He's my brother" (again) whine, I stopped the book. It's a shame that there is the perfect soldier, the caretaker of many, and the tech wizard all stuck with useless, dangerously stupid Ember. By the time I had reached my tolerance level with Ember's stupid self, I didn't care if the brother chained her in a dungeon, slit her throat, or crowned her queen. And to have one of the guys end up with her, ugh. Some characters are really too stupid to live - Ember just ruined the whole series for me and I will not continue.
    Keeps getting better.
Great series that keeps getting better with each book.

    Publisher's Summary:
From New York Times best-selling author Cinda Williams Chima, this is a thrilling story of the unfathomable costs of war, the allure of dark magic, and two principled and conflicted characters drawn together despite everything they stand to lose.
Alyssa ana'Raisa, the reluctant princess heir to the Gray Wolf throne of the Fells, feels more comfortable striking with a sword than maneuvering at court. After a brush with death, Lyss goes on the offensive, meaning to end the war that has raged her whole life. If her gamble doesn't pay off, she could lose her queendom before she even ascends to the throne.
Across enemy lines in Arden, young rising star Captain Halston Matelon is being sent on ever more dangerous assignments. Between the terrifying rumors of witches and wolfish warriors to the north and his cruel king at home, Hal is caught in an impossible game of life and death.
Lyss and Hal's intricately linked fates become inseparable when they fall under the shadow of a new enemy - a force that threatens to extinguish the last rays of hope in the Shattered Realms.

    Thrilling read!
With unpredictable twists and turns on every page, Chima continues to keep her Queendom as vibrant and thrilling as ever!
    loved it!!
loved the story line, character building and the crossover from the first book in the series line can't wait for book 3!!!!!
    So many stories
There are so many wonderful stories happening all in this short book. It makes them all feel too short and incomplete. I hope the next book is longer and starts pulling all the loose threads from each story together. I can not wait for the next book in the series.
Weakest of Series, but still good
I listened to the Demon King Series and then this series, which introduces the next generation of characters. The first book dealt with Adam, the son of the Grey Wolf Queen, and Jena, a mage marked girl; who is being hunted by the King of Arden. The book ends with a climax. You expect the next book to pick up from there. Instead, it introduces a whole new set of characters. What happened to Jena is finally addressed in the second part of the book, but we never find out what happened to Adam. I also found the first 1/2 of this book to be too wordy and lacking the action of the books that preceded it. I almost gave up on Shadow Caster but I am glad I didn't. The second half of the book was fantastic. I recommend that you read this book because of its importance in the series, and also because this is one of the best fantasy series (when you include Demon King books) I have ever read.
    Always Fantastic
As always i have really connected with the characters and cant wait to see the next chapter in thier story

It's a fitting end to a good story. I have high hopes for the films if they ever get made.
    Great Story
Flawed and Perfect are great stories. However, I am a bit biased. I think Cecelia Ahern is a great writer.

Fantastic book, have to tune out gaspy breathes.
I love this series. It's going to be a struggle but I'm going to have to read the next book. Lord knows when the next audio book is going to come out. well written. Good story. it took some time to get over the reader's gasp-like breathes at the end of most whey second. Once I figured out how to tune it out it was fine.
    Good series BUT
How is there not an audible production for the next book. I'm not one for cliffhangers and especially when the series is not complete!
Anyhow on to the book, story kept me intrigued To a point where I would gladly pay to listen to third book.
The narration is not horrible, I listened to it at 1.5 speed to overcome awkward pauses and slow reading.
great book and excited for the next one.
Veey good storyline, with a good mixture of shifters, magic, and action.i highly recommend this book to every one.

Very entertaining story of a young class of space kids discovering a new alien ship. Team BMW (Bobcat, Marcus, & William) play a
major role in the adventure - the three misfits crack me up each time. The narrator did an awesome job with providing unique individual voices for each character. Definitely recommend!

Left with wish for more detailed ending
I'm not going to do a full review as I do not have time to do so. My attention was caught in book one, book two started to lose my attention some with a huge descent going onward. I always try to force myself to read/listen to entirety of books because often you lose interest only to later be captured and sometimes more so than before. This was the case only slightly at times and for brief periods. I kept waiting to get dragged back into it but that never came. I was dreading the time to finish it and often fell asleep having had 2+ hours gone by then having to try to find where I left off. The ending was very disappointing for me. I had a hard time going from a major part of this book the the extremely brief ending. There should have at least been a short portion speaking about how she learned the ropes of taking over and how she became close to her mother and speaking of parents last we heard was Raphael ran off, where did he end up? He didn't abandon his daughter out of hate or having not loved her. Too many questions were left at the end of this book. I did not like it at all, it actually made me mad.. I did not feel closure at the end. The narrator did well, it was the story itself
    Great Series!!!
I loved all of the books in this 4 book series. The love, family, inspiration it just all came together well.
    I Really tried with this series . . .
I honestly REALLY tried, but it was quite painful. And I'll admit I tend to like just about anything. But this book was #TheWorst. The storyline was average at best. The protagonist the most annoying character ever. And the narrator was dry as hell. I forced myself to finish books 3 and 4. Each book progressively got worse. How is that possible?
Made myself finish listening to the first book...
I made myself finish listening to the first book... I won't force myself to finish the other 3. The idea of it kinda reminded me of Twilight, but not written as well and with a horrible plot. Nothing made sense and it felt like it was being rushed through. It needed more context to draw you in and the characters didn't make you like them. The girl was so ready to go along with everything... Don't waste your money or your credit...

    Great story but too quiet
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. the world and magic in it was very unique and we'll explained. I look forward to the next book since there is still much to be explored with Tea's past and how she got to where she is now.
my only complaint is that the female (and primary) narrator was way too quiet. I had to listen to this at pretty much full volume. Much of the narration was spoke in a soft voice and it was hard to hear when characters were speaking quietly. when they talked in a whisper I couldn't hear anything. it was really irritating to strain to hear and then get blasted when characters like Mother (who has a loud screechy voice) would start talking.
Story was pretty good, main narrator not so much
Would you try another book from Rin Chupeco and/or Emily Woo Zeller and Will Damron ?
I would like to read the sequel to find out what happened between the present day (Will Damron) and the past (Emily Woo Zeller). I plan on avoiding Emily Woo Zeller's work, though.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I thought Fox was the most interesting character. I wish his adjustment from dead to un-dead had been explored more.
What didnt you like about Emily Woo Zeller and Will Damron s performance?
Zeller tended to make the main character's voice whiny and wobbly any time she spoke, especially in the beginning. I get that the character is a kid, but the voice was just terrible. Same for other characters - weird, annoying voices getting in the way of what little plot there was.
    info dumpster, and whisper mummble
struggled to finish because the story was heavy weighed down by details, world biulding, and descriptions.
the narrator albeit lovely voice whisper mumbled a lot and proved difficult to enjoy.

    Another masterpiece by the master.
Scott has done it again. Another masterpiece. The writing here is on another level worthy of t.v. or movies. Amazing work. He is due for recognition beyond just being an author very soon!
    Should've kept old Narrator
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I love these books, but the new Narrator is just awful. It really jolts you out of the story. The old M was much better. I'm only a bit of the way through it, but so far, I can't stand her. I can't get into the story like I used to. I'm thinking I just might need to read this one instead of Listen.
    WTF Scott?
I introduced my oldest sone to Scott Sigler with the first book in this series Alive. With the hopes he would want to hear more Sigler books. I've been a long time fan with your books and Podcast. We were both stoked for the second book Alight. My son loved it so much he knew exactly when the third book Alone came out. This was supposed to be your best book ever. Ugh I can't tell you enough how disappointed we both were when we heard AB Kovacs read this story. It was so hard to follow along with this monotone reading. Within 15 minutes we were both completely let down. I own over fifty audiobooks from audible. I will never buy anything from Scott Sigler if he has Ab Kovacs read it. She does a great job with the other parts of her job but the reading is one of the worst I have purchased. So disappointed.
    Listen at 1.25x
I really enjoyed this trilogy and Alone was a great ending. There was a change of narrators in this one that although I've heard the explanation, I don't find it necessary or agree for the need.
I had an issue with the narration on this one...she reads so slowly. The pace just did not match the story. Then about half way through I found the speed adjustment setting in the app and set fir 1.25X. It felt more conversational and much more natural. I don't think I would have finished the book had I listened at regular speed.
Set it 1.25x and then enjoy the ride, otherwise read the book.
Another Sigler great book, not so great voice actor though.
This is another solid Sigler book, however, the voice actor wasn't that good at all.
It lacked Emma Galvin's emotional and differentiation capabilities.
I understand that the person in the story is a different one, though only one year has passed from book 2, so really can't be that much different.
It took me a while to recognise some places and characters name from book 2 as the pronunciation was different.
The story maybe gives a small insight of what is going to happen in future GFL books, but no big spoiler.

    Best Vega Jane yet
Fantastic performance. Great novel. Can't wait for next installment. Hurry up Mr Baldaci. What next will Happen to Vega.
