    Lifeblood, Life lesson
I listened to both books in thus series and my only disappointment is that I have to wait for the next installment!
I'm an adult but I enjoy a lot of the YA novels. With that being said, this book offers much more than a fantasy sci-fi love story, it offers lessons in love & forgiveness. It embraces a change from starting off 1 way then changing to become a better person. The fight for the soul of Tenley (Ten) Lockwood is how the story begins. There's a 1st life, a second life then a third in The Rest. Tenley falls for bad boy Killian Flynn. The storyline between the two is one of the best in YA I've come across. The narration is top notch! Definitely a fantastic story and I highly recommend it!
    love love love!
I'm so excited for the 3rd to come out! amazing story! if your a fan of hunger games or divergent series you will love these
    Lifeblood
Honestly one of my favorite books this year. already have listen to it multiple times and I just can't get enough. just make sure to read or listen to the first book before starting this one.
    great world, terrible characters
The narrators voice is perfect for how grinding and terrible this book is. The world building and ideas for the Ever life is incredibly interesting, which is why I stuck through , but at some points it's just soft porn for teens, compete with tongue thrusting in detail. This book consists mostly whining and dreaming how the baddest boy loves her and how much she misses him and how amazing he is and how great he is and how he smells like her favourite things ECT ECT ECT. if you enjoy listening to a winey, stubborn know nothing bull headed teenager complain, this is the book for you. The first book was decent, but this is rediculious. If the author had cut out most of the filler whining, she could have cut 5 hours and completed the series.
    love this book!
Honestly love this series. The story line sucks you in and makes you feel everything. Literally cried at the end!

My veil is gone, and I need it back.
Stuck in the lethal Outer Rings of Glacium, I must fight to survive. And not just that; my true identity must remain the gravest of secrets. No one can find out I'm the Tatuma of Osolis - the princess of their enemy world - especially now I know why I've been veiled my entire life.
I have to believe I can do it, because only then can I continue the search for Prince Kedrick's murderer and navigate my way back to King Jovan's castle.
Has my mother refused Jovan's peace offers and declared war? Do my brothers and Aquin know I'm alive? Who are my enemies, and who are my friends?
Nothing is certain. Though...if I think about it, nothing has been certain in a long time.
Warning: Cliff-hanger ending. Recommended for mature young adults due to swearing and mild sexual content.

A Mix of Wrestle-Mania and Pretty Little Liars
I listened to this book last week and have since finished the series. In order to ensure I don't give any unintentional spoilers I will keep this brief.
Of the 4 books in the series, I think this is my favorite. Our Olina is faced with desire, consumed by revenge, plagued by childish-ness, and brave. She is also a runner both mentally and physically. These qualities and flaws lead her down a troublesome road that earns her some fierce friends and dangerous enemies.
Our Ice King gives me chills. Though the story is told from Olina's point of view, I desperately wanted more of him.
There is much more action in this book and action is my fav.
The first book gives you a look at the palace and court life inside. Book 2 gives you a look at the real world of Glacium outside of the castle. Of course things are rougher is terrain but still a form of politics in dealing with the organized crimals.
The narrator for this book did well. As more characters are added to a series it must be hard to keep things in order but she did a good job.
    the best
wonderful! Amanda Dolan does a wonderful job bringing this story to life. I can listen to it over and over and never get bored!
A Great Story! I loved it!
What did you like best about this story?
*an audio copy was received in exchange for an honest review*
I've sat here and thought about how to express my feelings for this book and I'm just... gonna go with it. Lol This is not a bad reaction, no it's one of fondness and intrigue. I really enjoyed this book. I like the addition of so many new characters and the interactions between them and Lina.
However, there were many, many, many times I wanted to reach into the pages of this book and snatch that gal up and choke the craziness out of her. Seriously she made me so mad a few times I just had to walk away. But I came back cause dang it, I had to know what that crazy gal was up to next.
The pages flowed slow at times, and a little too quickly on parts but I think the overall balance is there. Lina is danger magnet. Like seriously. She becomes one of the best fighters on the pits of the outer rings, all while searching for Kedrick's killer. One thing turns to two and then it all comes crashing down.
As with anything Lina does she pulls out all the stops. Thank God Jovan has seen her without her veil. It's seriously the ONLY thing that saves her hide and the hides of the men she's grown to call family. This in turn gives her a reunion with the castle but not as herself.

    Two o'clock was missing.
In an alternate Victorian world controlled by clock towers, a damaged clock can fracture time - and a destroyed one can stop it completely.
It's a truth that 17-year-old clock mechanic Danny Hart knows all too well; his father has been trapped in a Stopped town east of London for three years. Though Danny is a prodigy who can repair not only clockwork but the very fabric of time, his fixation with staging a rescue is quickly becoming a concern to his superiors. And so they assign him to Enfield, a town where the tower seems to be forever plagued with problems.
Danny's new apprentice both annoys and intrigues him, and though the boy is eager to work, he maintains a secretive distance. Danny soon discovers why: He is the tower's clock spirit, a mythical being that oversees Enfield's time. Though the boys are drawn together by their loneliness, Danny knows falling in love with a clock spirit is forbidden and means risking everything he's fought to achieve.
But when a series of bombings at nearby towers threaten to Stop more cities, Danny must race to prevent Enfield from becoming the next target, or he'll lose not only his father but the boy he loves - forever.
This is the stunning first novel in a new trilogy by debut author Tara Sim.

    A top shelf book!
Set in a Victorian England, the clock towers keep time from fracturing and the Timekeepers keep the clocks ticking along smoothly. Danny Hart is a time mechanic like his father and he hopes to one day free his father and citizens of a Stopped town where a clock tower broke 3 years ago. Meanwhile, he has been assigned temporarily to the clock tower in the little town of Enfield where small things keep going wrong. Danny begins to suspect sabotage even as he learns an unsettling yet still intriguing truth about the clock tower it does indeed have a clock spirit. Colton seems equally intrigued by Danny and the two share a spark of romance that may or may not go anywhere.
This book was so much more than I was expecting. First, I was sucked in by the mythos of Chronos and how time was shattered but brought back under control by the clock towers and their spirits. Through out the book, we get little snippets of this mythology never enough to bore and they always intrigued me. Then we learn more about the clock mechanics, their rigorous training, and how its more than just sprogs and bolts. Theres also this slightly mystical ability to feel the flow of time coupled with intuition of knowing just what the clock needs to run smoothly.
Danny Hart enters the picture and he has plenty going on in his life. Hes the youngest mechanic to graduate from the training program. His dad has been absent for the past 3 years trapped in the stopped city of Malden and no one has figured out how to free the city yet. Also, the lad survived a nasty accident himself and hes suffering from PTSD. Lastly, he has finally come out of the closet, now that being gay is no longer a hanging offense. Few people are understanding, including his mom. Luckily, he has a stalwart friend in Cassie, a lass who has been his friend since childhood. As you can see, I was totally caught up in Dannys character and definitely wanted to follow him around and see what he could accomplish in this book.
When Colton, the clock spirit in Enfield, first appears, he doesnt tell Danny what he is.

    fun from beginning to end
I really liked the first book in this series, but the second one was even better and I am looking forward to the next one.
Written to be a sieres of books, not my preference
Book 1 laid out a good story that left the reader hungry for the conclusion (book 2). After hearing this book (#2) it is clear that 5 or more books will be written before this series concludes. I'm not that patient and the story telling is not that stellar. Just my personal opinion.
    Great adventure
loved the book, the adventure is getting good. I am excited to get the next one.
    Love these

    Love this book
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely, I think this is my new favorite book!
What other book might you compare Frostblood to and why?
It almost reminds me of the series' 'Throne of Glass', 'Poison study', and 'Possession'. Almost but not really.
What about Jennifer Englishs performance did you like?
I loved how she narrated it, her emphasis, the way she genuinely sounded happy when the book needed it, and also just her voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
    Not sure
    Any additional comments?
Later in the book, I found myself guessing most everything that was going to happen. Which wasn't such a bad thing, keeping me snared. Finishing it in only one night, I am antsy to read the next.

Did not want to stop listening
Well written fantasy. Likeable heroine, action packed with a little romance. Looking forward to book #2.
Totally worth it! Give it a try!
I will admit the first 2 chapters were a little slow. I had to start over a few times. But by chapter 3 I was hooked. I found myself holding my breath in anticipation for what was coming next. Think hunger games with the action of red rising mixed with a little of the teenage angst from twilight. A sure hit. can't wait for book 2

    Friendship in a magical world
Would you listen to Elizabeth's Legacy again? Why?
Yes, this is an introduction to a world with lots of interesting characters so before listening to the next book I'll probably re-listen to review the characters' names and twists in the plot to make sure I haven't forgotten anything important!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hard to choose between Ben and Charlie - both are heroic and charming in their own way
What does Peter Kenny bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Peter Kenny does a great job of interpreting the characteristics of the elves and other magical beings using his voice and different accents. He also manages to make Ben and Charlie sound young but not childish.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes - I just couldn't go on an 8 hour walk ...
    Any additional comments?
Can't wait for book 2 - listened to the preview at the end of this audiobook.
Magic for middle schoolers, but not much fun
*shrug* It was okay. Not the "if you loved Harry Potter, you will love this!" level of book that the claim suggested, but it was readable. There were three people in a magical world; one was a girl that had all of the magical knowledge in the group, one was a boy that leapt into dangerous situation and made bad decisions, and the third was awkward and felt like he didn't quite belong and had a crush on the girl...oh, wait, maybe it is a little like Harry Potter... That's where it ends, though.
It lacked pizzazz. And charm. And, to be honest, magic.
What a fantastic tribute to Kloss
This book is an amazing piece of work. I haven't enjoyed a YA book this much since the Potter series. The performer does an amazing job with voices that clearly have a tone for each character.
Although I have read all the books in the series I will eagerly purchase each audiobook when it's released.
Victor Kloss would be proud of the direction his series has taken. His wife and daughter should be proud that his legacy is immortalized in audio format.
I am so impressed with the book I am playing a chapter a day to my students in my history class as a mental warmup for them.
    Fun, fast-paced story
Would you listen to Elizabeth's Legacy again? Why?
Yes, it's very fun and entertaining.

    loved it!
I read this book first and loved it. I was very excited to learn that it had been turned into an audio book. I love this book even more as an audio. It brought the story to life. I can not wait for more audio books in this series.
    Amazing Audio Book
I really enjoyed listening to this book, the narrator really bought the story to life. Caitlin Kelly's voice is soothing and easy to listen to, the quality was clear with no background noises.
It is a great story, well read and I highly recommend this audio book
A life devoted to righting the wrongs.
What's wrong with adults in this book? How about some supervision! Let your students do all the hard work and risk their lives while you sit back and make rules...lol
Love the premise of this story and I'm anxious to read the next in the series. I love mythology and this series deals in the Greek mythos.
The characters are clearly defined and the story keeps the reader involved with the drama and action...not to forget the adventure and treasure hunt which keeps it moving forward.
Thank you Caitlin Kelly for lending your voice as narrator!
    Good Teen Romance
I liked it, it was good, not great. The narrator did a good job with distinguishing the characters and I thought it was a good start to a series. I'm worried it might go flat after this though. It was very reminiscent of Percy Jackson's Series.
    Riveting!
I loved this story. it kept me enthralled. Can't wait to continue the story in the next book.

    dont buy until fixed
ok so i love the ideas behind the story. But there is huge problems. the first one in the inconsistencies the main character learns something and then in the next book hears the information and its all new to her again. the last 2 chapters of book 2 are missing it jumps straight to book 3. devons car changes from a lotus to a mustang wothout and explination as well as molly never driving her car after the first time. I may just be nit picking it but it realy bothered me i have no idea how book 2 ended.
    Recording is missing several chapters
The first book is great. The second book ends without actually finishing the the book. like I've actually read the 2nd book and I know how it ends, and the reader move on to the 3rd book without even finishing the 2nd book.
    Good story
Good story. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Harry Potter, Vampire Academy or any other School Based Magical Books. Rae is a great character and you can really see how she has grown throughout the series.
    I loved it
I loved this boxset. It was one adventure after the other and it had me hooked until the very end. I loved the narrator of this boxset. Her ability to use different voices for each of the characters was truly amazing and made the story so enjoyable. I really enjoyed it.
    I joy listening to this books 1 - 6
the good books to listen to you can get lost in it storytelling I can't wait for more of it

    boring as hell
I honestly don't know how the show writers made these boring books into such an exciting show but they definitely don't need to give Kass Morgan much credit. I read all of the books just waiting for it to get good and it never did.
    Awsome written and narrated

    Publisher's Summary:
Red Queen meets The Hunger Games in this epic novel about what happens when the galaxy's most deadly weapon masquerades as a senator's daughter and a hostage of the galactic court.
A Diabolic is ruthless. A Diabolic is powerful. A Diabolic has a single task: kill in order to protect the person you've been created for.
Nemesis is a Diabolic, a humanoid teenager created to protect a galactic senator's daughter, Sidonia. The two have grown up side by side but are in no way sisters. Nemesis is expected to give her life for Sidonia, and she would do so gladly. She would also take as many lives as necessary to keep Sidonia safe.
When the power-mad emperor learns Sidonia's father is participating in a rebellion, he summons Sidonia to the Galactic court. She is to serve as a hostage. Now there is only one way for Nemesis to protect Sidonia. She must become her. Nemesis travels to the court disguised as Sidonia - a killing machine masquerading in a world of corrupt politicians and two-faced senators' children. It's a nest of vipers with threats on every side, but Nemesis must keep her true abilities a secret or risk everything.
As the empire begins to fracture and rebellion looms closer, Nemesis learns there is something more to her than just deadly force. She finds a humanity truer than what she encounters from most humans. Amid all the danger, action, and intrigue, her humanity just might be the thing that saves her life - and the empire.

Solid start that descends into YA cliches
What did you like best about The Diabolic? What did you like least?
Based on the summary and reviews here, I was expecting a light sci-fi read with plenty of action and subterfuge. I was surprised then when the second half turned into a mushy teen romance novel. The book begins by introducing us to Nemesis, a genetically engineered killing machine (known as a titular "Diabolic") whose sole purpose in life is to protect Sidonia, the daughter of a galactic senator. Aside from an instinctual need to keep her ward safe, Nemesis was bred not to experience emotions and has little understanding of them. The first person perspective works great here, giving us a look inside the Diabolic's head as she tries to make sense of the affection and care shown to her by Sidonia. Their complex bond was the bright spot in the book for me. The introspection that happens throughout the story as Nemesis explores what it means to really be human was the only thing that kept me engaged in the later on.
As the above synopsis tells you, Nemesis has to travel to the center of the galactic government to impersonate the senator's daughter. And then things start to go downhill from here. She makes a lot of decisions that are out-of-character compared to how she was depicted in the first act. YA tropes begin to pop up (particularly with the galactic court being the equivalent of Hunger Games' Capitol, and the "lovers from two different worlds" cliche). The unexpected, mushy romance further detracted from the story for me, but I understand now I'm not exactly the target audience for what this book was trying to do.
