    Publisher's Summary:
War is coming. The veil between the living and the dead no longer exists. Evil is running rampant and the universe's symmetry balances on my fingertips. No big deal. Of course, nobody knows how or when the hallows will strike, or who among us is a traitor.
Hordes of vengeful spirits are multiplying by the minute, closing ranks. Zane is poised to strike, but it's going to take more than his killer instincts, more than swords and shadows to vanquish the hallows. Stakes are higher than ever, yet I am determined to protect those I care about - to save the world.
Restoring the veil isn't as easy as a snap of my fingers. Nothing worth fighting for ever is. Friendship and loyalties are tested to the limit, sacrifices of unimaginable proportions are made, but in the end, all that matters is whether I succeed or fail.
Soul Symmetry is the highly anticipated conclusion in The Raven series. A YA paranormal romance full of love, betrayal, and an enthralling supernatural world that will leave you hungry for more.

Fitting conclusion to exciting YA paranormal!

Soul Symmetry is a fitting conclusion to the Raven trilogy by J.L. Weil. The story picks up soon after the second book, Black Crow, ends with Piper's coronation as the queen of the reapers (someone who helps souls cross over into the after life). Piper is finally coming into her own and doesn't seem so obnoxious. As we learned in the first two books, Piper and Zane are more than soulmates, their hearts are synchronized. As such, they can reach out to the other to garner strength and use the other's abilities when they are near each other as well as miles apart. The love scenes are very tastefully done and leave a lot to the reader's imagination. Simply put, Piper, Zane, and a few friends (and at least one frenemy) work together to figure out who is behind the plot to kill off Piper's bloodline and they ultimately close the veil between worlds before all of mankind is destroyed.
Caitlin Kelly narrated the Audible version of Soul Symmetry, like she did with the first two stories in the trilogy. Caitlin was simply outstanding. She used differing voices for all characters male and female, and accurately distinguished older characters from younger ones. She also exhibited great pace and urgency in all the appropriate parts. I've bumped up the overall rating due to Caitlin's engaging narration, which contributed immensely to my enjoyment of this book. I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest unbiased review.
    this is a wonderful series!!!
you won't be disappointed because the narration, characters and story are juicy and alive. I am so glad I immersed myself in this.
    Glad I finished the series
I almost didn't buy the last book based on book 2, but glad I did. This was much better with a good ending and wrap up!
    Great.
I really enjoyed all of the 3 books in the series. interesting new story line and idea
Good concept, bad performance, BAD writing
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Don't have the male protagonist who is a complete and total jerk, then have the female main character fall in love with him.

Dragon Trials by Ava Richardson will appeal to the younger end of YA readers. Enjoyable YA fantasy. Might make a good gift for a young reader who likes dragons, adventure, and a slow-growing friendship.
Really original take on Dragon Riders!
When I saw this book, I thought, oh, another dragon riders book. You know, Anne McCaffrey has spawned a legion of imitators over the years. however, this is not one of those. It is its own vision, where a poor young man can be chosen by a Dragon to be one of its 2 riders, when usually only nobles are chosen. It has a deep plot, with an ancient evil rising. It has conflicted characters, with flaws and predujudices that have real consequences. The Dragons are interesting, in that they are smarter than their riders give them credit for. It is a great world the author has created, with a dark power rising that threatens their entire kingdom and way of life.
As far as narration, it was good, with just a few of the voices falling a little flat. I recommend this book for anyone that enjoys character driven fantasy. And Dragons.
I voluntarily recieved a review copy of this audiobook from the Author, Narrator or Publisher through AudiobookBoom.
    Holy Cow!
Welcome the the Dragon Trials! READ IT. (or in my case, listen) You will not be disappointed at all. If Dragons are your thing, this is a must. If you want entitled bitches, this is your book. If you want struggling to fit in, this is your book. If you just want a great story, this is your book.
It is a story of history and preservation. The Darkening is starting to show its face again in a land that has been peaceful for centuries. 2 naive and novice Dragon Riders go to seek it out and see what is happening to their country.
The rest of the story, you will have to find out for yourself.
The narration was excellent and keep you involved all the way.
5 stars for this one. Very entertaining.

    Genres: Teens, Sci-Fi & Fantasy
    Publisher's Summary:
There's no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from acclaimed author Victoria Schwab, a young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains - and friends or enemies - with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books, This Savage Song is a must-have for fans of Holly Black, Maggie Stiefvater, and Laini Taylor.
Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city - a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent - but he's one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music.
When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who's just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August's secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.
In This Savage Song, Victoria Schwab creates a gritty, seething metropolis, one worthy of being compared to Gotham and to the four versions of London in her critically acclaimed fantasy for adults, A Darker Shade of Magic. Her heroes will face monsters intent on destroying them from every side - including the monsters within.

    Another triumph
After a slow beginning (about the first hour), the story coalesced and VS wound together terrific characters in a darker than expected tale.
I look forward to the next installment, although this book more than stands on its own.
Highly recommend but steer toward later teens +

Where does This Savage Song rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
    Top 10
What other book might you compare This Savage Song to and why?
Jax Garren trilogy- Beauty and the Beast
Which character as performed by Therese Plummer was your favorite?
August - gentle, compassionate and honest
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
    Wanting more of the story
    Not worth its good reviews
I'm not sure how this book received so many five-star ratings and such positive reviews. There was hardly any story and the characters were forgettable. I suppose the overall concept was somewhat interesting but in some ways it was also cheesy. The main monster uses a violin as a "weapon". lame. I guess for a book aimed at teen-agers, it works, but then why did the author decide halfway through the boom to start throwing out so many f-bombs and other profanities for no reason. The writing was OK at best, and the audible narrator got a little too emotional at times, but I made it through to the end.

In Ink and Bone, New York Times best-selling author Rachel Caine introduced a world where knowledge is power, and power corrupts absolutely. Now she continues the story of those who dare to defy the Great Library - and rewrite history.
With an iron fist, the Great Library controls the knowledge of the world, ruthlessly stamping out all rebellion, forbidding the personal ownership of books in the name of the greater good. Strong Sequel!
Rachel Caine did not disappoint. Loved Ink & Bone ... Paper & Fire is just as good. No Book 2 let down. Action, adventure - excellent writing with a few twists. Still love the narrator. Can't wait for book 3!
    Ending is cut off
I loved the continuation of book one, but am marking it down because it ends by cutting off in the middle of a scene!!!!!!!
    Rachel Caine is magnificent!
I love Rachel Caine. Jess and his friends are some of the best characters I have "met" in awhile. The story line is unique and all around awesome. I cannot wait to get ahold of her next book in this series.
Story Heats Up With Second Installment
As is the case with trilogies, the second book was not as good as the first, but still interesting. The library students from the first book are now serving separately at their assignments, but a twist brings them back together again with their old professor. The once seemingly bright world of the library is looking darker and darker. Looking forward to the conclusion.
Better than the first book, spellbinding!
I strongly recommend reading the series in order, it will help by laying the groundwork for this one. . Having been drawn in by Ink and Bone, this book was exciting, and hard to let go, I can't wait for the third book

"Redwine uses Snow White as a framework to create her own fantasy filled with complex characters, imaginative and horrible consequences, and sharp twists, all of which give this novel a place among other clever, contemporary romantic fantasies." (Booklist)
    Members Reviews:
I wish a had read the book.
The story was really good, but it was so hard to get into it over the narrators voice. There was WAY too much... "feeling"? Put into EVERY sentence, which made the sweet, romantic moments sound super cheesy, and the dramatic/action moments sound like they were being made fun of. I had to grimace through most of the story and many times thought of just turning it off and buying the book.
    An Excellent Redux
What made the experience of listening to The Shadow Queen the most enjoyable?
The narrator was great! The story was great but the narrator kept the redux from becoming dull and lackluster.
What did you like best about this story?
The story itself was amazing. Just when I grew weary of Snow White, AGAIN, C. J. Redwine but a nice little twist into it.
Have you listened to any of Khristine Hvams other performances before? How does this one compare?
Not that I'm aware of, but I loved listening!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Neither reactions- it was just a good story. I was surprised another version of Snow White could come out so interesting.
    trying too hard
great story line, but the relationships between the characters are too.... fake? too much like a nickelodeon show? sappy?
    it was alright
    Oh No Another Retelling
This was actually really really good. Right out of the shoot, graphic violence and action in chapter 1!! And it doesn't stop, too much romance and you just want the two livers to hurry up and just do it, but it was really emotionally consumming.
Loved it from start to finish
I loved how there was one book that told an amazing story from start to finish. This beautiful spin off of snow white had dragons, magic, courage, love, adventure, heartache and triumph. Each character was unique and we'll written.

"Meanwhile back at the ranch, ..."
Would you try another book from Sherrilyn Kenyon and/or Holter Graham?
I am a longstanding Kenyon fan, so of course, I will pick up more from her. And, Holter Graham is one the best narrators in the business. I look for books he narrates all the time. Together, they are one of the most addictive combos out there.
Who was your favorite character and why?
In this latest iteration, Xev, and his narrative, stands out as the most memorable character for me.
    Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene takes place at aunt Mini's house. There we get substantial chunks of backstory that progress the narrative, and enlighten dangling relationships between significant characters.
Do you think Invision needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
This book, as others have commented, stands as a bridge to the storyline. Thankfully, I know there are plans for several more books. If this was the last book, this would have to go into the annals of, "bad... bad..," endings--with "Heroes" and "Alphas."
    Any additional comments?
I can only infer that this book served several alternative purposes--other than being a great stand alone story. If you were to pick this book up, as a first read, in the "Chronicles of Nick" series, you will be severely disappointed and uninspired to go back and get the rest. However, for those devoted followers, this book serves as a hilarious narrative that fills in the blanks with several character's storylines. At the same time, it also provides superior plot twists that real you back in even deeper.
Nevertheless, I must point out that some of the derived relationships and associations appear clunky and contrived. For example, Zev's relationship with Nick is presented with the subtlety of a 400 pound man doing a cannonball--off the high board--in the water hazard at the US Open. However, it lacked the "oh my God" interest, I believe she was trying for. It comes off more as a, Whisky-Tango-Foxtrot," surprise that changes the tone of the relationship. For those of us that follow the series, this doesn't flow in the same narrative style we are use to from Kenyon. Nor, does she take enough time to feather out this relationship in this book or the last. This is just one example, and there are several more in the story.
Further, I miss Simi's role in this story. Her parts, again, seam contrived and provide very little explanation for her presents. Simi is like, 'Martin's Brotha-Man...

    Once in a Lifetime Series
He was a book, and he was holding his final pages, and he wanted to get to the end to find out how it went, and he didn't want it to be over.
This is truly a once in a lifetime series. If Harry Potter was my childhood, The Raven Cycle was my 20's. This series was perfect for me, and I don't think anyone could break the spell that this series and these characters have cast upon me.
They were both hungry animals, but Adam had been starving for far longer.
Depending on where you began the story, it was about..." unconditional love and the power it can evoke. This book is the type of book that makes me want to be a better person. It makes me want to be more appreciative of my friends and family. It makes me so thankful that I have a love for reading and that it was instilled in me from a young age. It makes me feel so blessed that I'm able to read and able to read books like this. I'm eternally grateful to Maggie Stiefvater and her words that somehow penetrated my heart and built this perfect story.
I'm writing this review in actual tears, because this story is so beautiful and means so much to me. I probably sound really incoherent and this review is ending up just like my Shiver review, where I'm just fangirling, but sometimes while reading this series I felt like Maggie Stiefvater was writing this solely for me. Like she somehow got inside my heart and wrote my soul down on paper. I really don't have any words that I can string together to do a review for The Raven King justice; I'll just say that it changed me forever, I'm eternally grateful to have had this reading experience, and that I'll never forget it. Thank you, Maggie Stiefvater.
Blue, Gansey, Adam, and Ronan all have a piece of my heart that I will never get back. In return, they will stay with me forever.
He closed his eyes and he began to dream.
    Stupendous
The writing is beautiful Will Patton's voice , timing and expression of each character exquisite. The series has been a delight and although it is a young adult fiction this 52-year-old has been enthralled. I hope there are more to come
    5 Star Series
The final installment of The Raven Cycle that was worth waiting for.

    Publisher's Summary:
From the "author to watch" (Kirkus Reviews) of The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley comes a brand-new novel about a teenage boy who must decide whether or not the world is worth saving.
Henry Denton has spent years being periodically abducted by aliens. Then the aliens give him an ultimatum: The world will end in 144 days, and all Henry has to do to stop it is push a big red button.
Only he isn't sure he wants to.
After all, life hasn't been great for Henry. His mom is a struggling waitress held together by a thin layer of cigarette smoke. His brother is a jobless dropout who just knocked someone up. His grandmother is slowly losing herself to Alzheimer's. And Henry is still dealing with the grief of his boyfriend's suicide last year.
Wiping the slate clean sounds like a pretty good choice to him.
But Henry is a scientist first, and, facing the question thoroughly and logically, he begins to look for pros and cons: in the bully who is his perpetual one-night stand, in the best friend who betrayed him, in the brilliant and mysterious boy who walked into the wrong class. Weighing the pain and the joy that surrounds him, Henry is left with the ultimate choice: push the button and save the planet and everyone on it...or let the world - and his pain - be destroyed forever.

Superb touching, captivating story with big ideas
Where does We Are the Ants rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
In the top 10. It instantly grabs you and makes you care about the main character. That's a rare quality which some established authors fail to do.
What did you like best about this story?
The way it is written. Mr Hutchinson has a beautiful turn of phrase, never over writes, gives us just enough to make a passionate other worldly story about, ocassionally, pedestrian things.
What about Gibson Fraziers performance did you like?
    Very good.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes. I failed but I powered through it in two days.
    Any additional comments?
Mr Hutchinson please make more books available on audible.
    Evocative and moving
Which character as performed by Gibson Frazier was your favorite?
All the characters were well done, but I especially liked his portrayal of Diego.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Henry's science teacher recounted her high school years.
    Any additional comments?
Sarcastic, funny, and poignant. Don't let the summary blurb fool you - this is less science fiction that it is a wrenching window into coming of age, being an outcast, the ugliness of teenagers, the pain of adolescence, mental health, and young love. Though the impetus for the narrator's (Henry Denton) consideration of whether or not life should go on on earth is his (real or imagined) abductions by aliens, the biggest way science fiction themes run through the book are intermittent chapters where Henry brainstorms the very many ways life on earth could end. I loved the book and it rang very true, there were no pat endings or easy solutions, but real growth by the characters and a lot of to consider. It made me relieved to have since grown out of the hell that high school could be, the vicissitudes of popularity and friendship, the dizzying highs and lows of emotion, the way everything felt urgent and unsure and permanent all at the same time.

    I've lost so much.
    Family. My home.
    Pride. My identity.
And I couldn't help but feel it's entirely my fault. There is no one else to blame.
I've quickly learned that being the White Raven isn't easy. The dead are restless and angry, and I don't know the first thing about being a banshee. Those around me will get hurt. To keep them safe, I must endure painful decisions.
Zane Hunter, the ultra-bad boy who stole my heart, is one of those difficult decisions. Our souls are synchronized, making us a compatible duo. Too bad I'm engaged to his brother.
My forbidden relationship with Zane is complicated. Deep down I want more than what my duty demands of me, what my family's past has shaped for me.
Our problematic relationship only increases in tenfold when a surprise I never saw coming shows up in Raven Hallow, changing the game. I thought I had nothing left to lose...I was wrong.
Yeah, being a banshee isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

First book was good. A little over the top but a decent story. This book is just god awful
Ok. We get it. You want to have sex with him.
Gggggaaaaaahhhhhhh. I'm sorry but the "angst" in this "story" is beyond lame.
First book the voice of the lead character was fun. Up to date, flirty, realistic, a little too stereotypically "girly" but it was fun. In book two I have two hours left and I'm about to email Audible to get my money back. I mean COME. ON. Why is she still dwelling on their "connection"? Why is she still a weak character? When does she find her bad ass-ness?
    It's terrible. Just awful.
    Seriously?
I hold myself partially responsible for even entertaining the idea that the second book might be a better read than the first, but it only took 2 minutes into the book for me to realize that it's just as annoying. The so called "sarcasm" that the heroine attempts to throw out all the time is so corny & immature, It's just as cringe-worthy as nails on a chalkboard. I can't decide if it's the narrators interpretation of the writing that makes it so bad or if it's the writing itself. I may be partially to blame for giving this book a chance but I blame whoever these readers are that gave this series an overall rating of anything over 3 stars. I blame whatever company it was that thought it was a good idea to publish such a crappy book, & I blame the author for thinking that writing a story with such an annoying heroine would be okay. Definitely asking for a refund.
Outstanding narration in YA reaper tale.
    Any additional comments?
Black Crow is an admirable follow up to the exciting YA paranormal book, White Raven by J.L. Weil. The story picks up where the first book ends, after the murder of Piper's grandmother and Piper's ascension to become a banshee- the next queen of the reapers (someone who helps souls cross over into the after life). Piper is still struggling with what it means to be a banshee, having grown up outside the community of Raven Hollow and not knowing that she was born a reaper (kind of like how Mia from the Princess Diaries didn't know she was a princess).
Because Piper has a lifetime of reaper history and training to catch up on, most of this book is centered around her training so she is not caught unaware of her abilities again.

Set in the world of the New York Times best-selling Seven Realms series, a generation later, this is a breathtaking story of dark magic, chilling threats, and two unforgettable characters walking a knife-sharp line between life and death. This dazzling beginning to a new series is indispensable for fans of Cinda Williams Chima and a perfect starting point for listeners who are new to her work.
Adrian sul'Han, known as Ash, is a trained healer with a powerful gift of magic - and a thirst for revenge. Ash is forced into hiding after a series of murders throws the queendom into chaos. Now he's closer than ever to killing the man responsible, the cruel king of Arden. With time running out, Ash faces an excruciating choice: Can he use his powers not to save a life but to take it?
Abandoned at birth, Jenna Bandelow was told that the magemark on the back of her neck would make her a target. But when the King's Guard launches a relentless search for a girl with a mark like hers, Jenna assumes that it has more to do with her role as a saboteur than any birth-based curse. Though Jenna doesn't know why she's being hunted, she knows that she can't get caught.
Eventually Ash's and Jenna's paths will collide in Arden. Thrown together by chance and joined by their hatred of the ruthless king, they will come to rescue each other in ways they cannot yet imagine.

    an ironic find
    I was going through
my library and thought - hey, the seven reaLms saga was a great series and I wish there was more. then I went to chima's site and found out a sequel came out only the day before.
I don't normally like it when new characters take over; but this was great. the mc is the son of the previous mc's and it would be hard to explain the story without giving much away. so I will say that the style remains true to the previous books air and the narrator - actually I had a hard time believing she wasn't Carol Monda. she did every bit as great a job.
Great sequel to the seven realms novels
A great sequel. I didn't expect the book to carry its own when sequels come out you think it will never be as good as the original, but I surpassed all expectations and holds it own along with weaving the story we fell in love with in to its own captivating story.
    Always great story from Cinda
i had hard time at first. As it felt there was such a huge gap in time from the previous series events. Not only that but if you just finished the previous series then the loss of a character at beginning will destroy you. But thats what stories do, they insite feelings. Cinda always draws me in and I truly enjoy the story throughout. this will be another great series.
    5 star s
I loved this book tons of action ,magic, and romance.
definitely read the first books to understand the story a little more. the narrator did a wonderful job aswell.
    Wow! Amazing!
What can I say about this book? Well originally I got this book because the cover looked cool. I am so glad i got it! This turned out to be one of my favorites! Its right up my alley. Being an anime nerd this resonated with my soul! There was one super cheese. But it is still very good! I would recommend this HIGHLY!
