    Publisher's Summary:
    M. Savage - or Em, as she is called - has made a bewildering and ominous discovery. She and the other young people she was chosen to lead awoke in strange coffins with no memory of their names or their pasts. They faced an empty, unknown place of twisting tunnels and human bones. With only one another to depend on, they searched for answers and found the truth about their terrifying fate. Confronted by a monstrous enemy, they vowed never to surrender - and, by any means, to survive.
The planet Omeyocan may be the sanctuary Em and her comrades seek. But the planet for which they were created turns out not to be a pristine, virgin world. Vestiges of a lost civilization testify to a horrifying past that may yet repeat itself. And when a new enemy creeps from the jungle shadows, Em and her young refugees learn there's nowhere left to run. They face a simple choice: fight or die.
In the midst of this desperate struggle, their unity is compromised from within - and a dangerous zealot devoted to a bloodthirsty god moves to usurp Em's command, threatening to lead them all down a path to violent doom.

    Your Newest Addiction
As a fan of Scott Sigler's work, I had to check out the Generations trilogy. Having just read "Alive," I was itching to listen to book 2. I've had my headphones in my ears almost nonstop over the last 24 hours, unable to stop listening. Emma Galvin's voice perfectly personifies how one would imagine a character like Em (M) would sound; she also reflects the emotions that Em would feel as the story progresses. Can't wait for the final book!
How can it get even better?
Man! So outstanding! Just like Scott Sigler promised, the 2nd part of this trilogy is more engaging than the first. Because I am very familiar with all of his books, I am able to make many connections between all. I am SO jonesing for the next part!
    Awesome!!!
As always, my FAVORITE author, Scott Sigler has done it again! Another great book! Emma Galvin does am amazing job telling the story of Em and her friends. They've finally made it to the planet where they face new dangers. Can't wait for book 3!
Rollercoaster ride of great story telling.
A good rollercoaster of a story. Just when I think I know where its going, Scott smacks me in the face and says "you don't know anything sucka" and shows us how good of a writer he is.
Go get Alive and start this rollercoaster ride yourself.
Worthy of your time and credits
A beautifully executed departure from Sigler's usual style of storytelling, this series has had me guessing (mostly incorrectly) the entire time. I can hardly wait for the next installment!

In this third book in the New York Times best-selling Dorothy Must Die series, new girl from Kansas Amy Gumm is caught between her home - and Oz.
My name is Amy Gumm. Tornadoes must have a thing about girls from Kansas, because - just like Dorothy - I got swept away on one, too. I landed in Oz, where Good is Wicked, Wicked is Good, and the Wicked Witches clued me in to my true calling: assassin.
The way to stop Dorothy from destroying Oz - and Kansas - is to kill her. And I'm the only one who can do it.
But I failed. Others died for my mistakes. Because of me, the portal between the worlds has been opened. And if I don't find a way to close it?
Dorothy will make sure I never get to go home again.
Now it's up to me to join the Witches, fight for Oz, save Kansas, and stop Dorothy once and for all.

    Not the end
This book took a few surprising turns. The most surprising is that it isn't the end of the series. I had thought this would be the last book and was hoping for a satisfying end to the story which I did not get. It's very clear that there will be a sequel. The story is a little more action packed than the last so it felt short to me. I am actually very disappointed that the story isn't over. I know that there are a lot of original Oz books for the author to use as a foundation for a longer story. I feel she should have completely resolved this arc before dragging Amy off to a new adventure or that she could have tied it in better. There are a lot of authors that say they always know how their series would end before they even began writing. I honestly didn't get that feeling from this book, the whole thing feels a little lost. Overall I think I will just wait till the series is completely over before I continue reading. I also feel like her editors should have caught her over use of the phrase "She didn't have to tell me twice" and it's many variations. The narrator did a decent job.
    meh
Too much descriptive fluff that lost my attention often. Not enough actual scheming, plotting, or action.
    great read
Nooo...not another cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next one to come out. Great work!
    amazing !

    Firstlife, an Everlife Novel
    One choice.
    Two realms.
    No second chance.
Tenley "Ten" Lockwood is an average 17-year-old girl...who has spent the past 13 months locked inside the Prynne Asylum. The reason? Not her obsession with numbers but her refusal to let her parents choose where she'll live - after she dies.
There is an eternal truth most of the world has come to accept: Firstlife is merely a dress rehearsal, and real life begins after death.
In the Everlife, two realms are in power: Troika and Myriad, longtime enemies and deadly rivals. Both will do anything to recruit Ten, including sending their top Laborers to lure her to their side. Soon Ten finds herself on the run, caught in a wild tug-of-war between the two realms who will do anything to win the right to her soul. Who can she trust? And what if the realm she's drawn to isn't where the boy she's falling for lives? She just has to stay alive long enough to make a decision.

Would have been a Five-Star Read...
Don't listen/read this title for the romance. I wasn't too impressed with the love interest Cilian. And one of his lines: "Challenge accepted" just reminded me of a character (from a TV show) who has a horrible record for treating women badly. In any case, I don't find the romance that enticing.
What really got me going was the other characters. I thought that Ten was commendable for staying true to herself regardless of the costs. She is not a girl whose happiness is solely dependent on her man. And I admire her for it. Snarky and witty but still having compassion regardless of what was thrown at her. Despite the fantasy/sci fi genre of the books, I'm sure a lot of people would relate to her.
Her interactions with her friends, particularly Bow/Archer and Sloane are the highlights of the book. And I feel that the book would have been better with more of it.
So long story short: I think the romance part of the book was a let down. But the book makes up for it with the concept of Everlife and with the likeability of characters such as Ten, Bow/Archer, and Archer's direct superior (he may be some sort of general but he has a great sense of humor)
I thought I was going to love this
This book had an amazing the beginning. I liked the characters, I LOVED the premise, but the further it went the further it fell.
I will admit I'm probably not this book's intended audience. I'm 25, and a pretty voracious reader of heavy books. However, I really feel like this great writer fell into the same trap so many other young adult authors fall into.
    1) a heroine who falls a totally inappropriate, deeply questionable guy.
    2) she then ignores all the good advice she was given because she wants to "make her own choices" at the extreme expense of others.
    3) she is commended for this decision and saves the world
Adults do not act this way. Since the character isn't an adult, it's highly realistic. However, I don't love that this continues to be modeled for teenagers.
The premise was so, so good that I gave it four stars anyway, but this book could have been badass. I recommended it so highly based on the first 50 pages that I actually had to go around to my friends retracting my recommendation (or, at least, footnoting it) based on the gag-worthy love triangle BS.
Not to put too fine a point on it.

    Absolutely amazing!
I love this book! It is without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read/heard. The whole series is amazing. It has everything I look for in a book. Clean paranormal romance, drama, action, and suspense. It was impossible to put it down.
The story has lots of twists and turns. Sara is one sneaky girl! Poor Nikolas! They make a great couple.
Amazing narrator does a great job on this series.
    Thrilling, exciting and heart wrenching
This third book in the Relentless series is the best yet and it completes the trilogy. It is thrilling, heart wrenching and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story takes you on a twisting journey of action, complex relationships, love and surprises. Even though this book often has you holding your breath at the tense action, it also has beautiful relationships, quiet tender moments and characters you can not help but love. The narration in the audiobook is excellent, she imparts the feel of tension, fear, love, anger and sorrow very well. Her voices are realistic and she hits the different accents with precision. This is a thoroughly enjoyable and exciting story that leaves you wanting to hear more about all the great characters you have met in this series. I received the audiobook at no cost and under no obligation.
First time a book made me cry
This book was written with such passion. It filled me with so much emotion and my heart contracted at every twist and turn. First time I actually cried and had to cover my mouth to keep from waking up my family :)
A Fascinating ending, brought to life
Where does Rogue rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Definitely in the top 10... probably 5th or 6th
What other book might you compare Rogue to and why?
It reminds me of Book 1 in this series. Sara is independent, fierce, and determined to slip away to handle her things on her own. Rogue brings Sara's original toughness back into focus.
    Which scene was your favorite?
At the Demon marketplace, when Sara finally reveals herself. A close second is her final battle with Elena.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Sara Grey is more Warrior than anyone knows...

Love this series more than what I thought I would!
    Any additional comments?
Im on the edge of my seat listening to book two in this series. If the comments Im reading about the third book being the best book in the series; than I know it will push me over the edge. This series is awesome! Just when you think things are about to calm down in the story; the author surprises you by turning up the heat!
    Epic, very good book
Awesome book, can't wait to listen to the next in the series. very good book.
    Thrilling with great characters
This is a great second audiobook in the Relentless series. It has plenty of action, amazing characters and excellent narration. I loved the development of Nicholas and Sara's relationship. His intensity, power and protectiveness is well matched by her determination, caring nature and inner strength. These characters continue to grow in depth and complexity as the story progresses and you can not help but be invested in their lives. The secondary characters also capture your heart, from Sara's werewolf BFF's, to sassy, sword loving Jorden or the reclusive Desmond, they all have depth and you can't help but care for them. I also enjoyed the great variety of supernatural creatures/beings in this story; the author expertly integrated then into the storyline without overwhelming the reader. The narrator did a fantastic job of giving the characters individual voices and she the intensity of the story came through well. This book has excitement, battles, surprises and romance and I look forward to listening to the next audiobook in the series. I received the audiobook at no cost and under no obligation.
    Loved it!
A page turner with well developed characters and great plot. Loved the twists and turns, and most importantly, a long awaited, slow simmering romance finally being acknowledged. The author gave me everything I needed from this book. Can't wait to begin the next one.
The Riveting Continuation of Sara's Story
Would you listen to Refuge again? Why?
Yes. In fact, I already have. This story is so gripping, sparking a myriad of emotions.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I love Jordan. She is tough, hilarious, and completely loyal. My second choice would be Desmond... because he is Desmond lol.
Have you listened to any of Caitlin Greers other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. She also narrated Relentless, by Karen Lynch. I think that, in this book, Ms.

    A bit of a disappointment
If you could sum up Cruel Crown in three words, what would they be?
    A big disappointment!
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The story about the queen, which wasn't really told with any depth. It seemed like they sort of skimmed thru this story, which was a huge disappointment.
The least interesting thing was the story that came next with all of the military correspondence and having to listen to the title, and officer, and message (half redacted) etc. over and over again!! BORING, get to the story.
It took me a while to make the connection and then it wasn't all that interesting. What a huge disappointment, since the first two books I read in this series (The Red Queen and The Glass Sword) were GREAT books and I LOVED them.
What aspect of the narratorss performance would you have changed?
The narrator was a little flat, compared to the narrator chose for the other 2 books mentioned above.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
DON'T PAY TO SEE THIS, WAIT FOR THE DVD AS IT'S NOT THAT INTERESTING!!
    Any additional comments?
Too bad this didn't live up to the other 2 in the series, I was really hopeful, but disappointed.
a helpful look into the world
I really liked having this insight to the characters, which lead to a much better understanding of the world.
Corianne's perspective was very strong and created a much richer understanding of the world.
Farley's perspective really illuminated the Scarlet Guard and what else was happening that Maire didn't know about.
Wish it was only one pov
The first part felt somewhat rushed and the second one was just confusing. I listen to books while doing other things and trying to figure out who sent what letter to who and where was impossible!
Okay - would listen to others in the series
I enjoyed the first book so much that I had high expectations for this book. I listen to books on audible. I feel like the two halves of the book were very different backstories. The first half felt very rushed toward the end.

    YA Cookie Cutter
I feel like a lot of the YA are so similar. Almost all YA I have read have the same format. Two men that the heroine has to chose between and in one way or another is herione is the savior of the people. Well written, good but not great.
    Deja vu
This story has been written over and over again in YA fiction, however, in this version, the plot and storyline are weak and predictable, the characters are dull and terribly inconsistent, and there is not a lot to keep you interested. The author over-explains characters' emotions and choices, assuming readers need to have things explained to them. In other parts, the author creates contrived scenarios. There are several parts where you can almost hear the author thinking, "hmmm...what can I put here to make the story go in the direction that I'd like?" And then the writer' choice is a giant jump from point A to point B. The reader is left head scratching over and over.
The narration was meh. I got the impression that the narrator seemed bored by the story.
Overall the whole book: writing, plot, characters, performance was mediocre.
    Hunger Games and Divergent Merge!
Would you listen to Numbers Game again? Why?
This is the type of book I will listen to more than once and still enjoy. The book is "clean" without obscenities and sex scenes. While similar to Hunger Games or Divergent, Numbers Game holds its own with a story line that kept me listening without getting bored.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Numbers Game?
    When Trina meets her father.
Have you listened to any of Stacey Glemboskis other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to any other of Stacey Glemboski's other performances, but I did like her work and would listen to others.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think the part that really moved me was when Trina gets her number and the feelings she went through.
    Any additional comments?
I've listened to hundreds of books, and read thousands more. At the age of 54, I tend to like the YA books because they are usually more creative. Unfortunately, many are starting to use excessive profanity and obscenities, along with sex scenes that put me off.

They say that long ago, there was a rebellion in Heaven - that an army of angels sought to seize the throne and were cast down into the pits of Hell in punishment. Those are the affairs of angels, and everything would have been fine if they'd kept them to themselves. But there's been another uprising, and another fall. Cast down to Earth, the rebel angels ravaged the globe in an orgy of sin and violence as they indulged in their newfound freedoms. Their new home is the Perch, a black, towering monstrosity that blights what's left of the New York City skyline.
Life inside the Perch means you watch your tongue, if you're a servant. Jana has lived there since she was a child, and now she's found herself thrust into the middle of angelic politics. Some of them want to torture her, just for the fun of it. Others say they want to protect her. And Rhamiel, a charismatic and powerful angel with one of the few faces that wasn't burnt and scarred by the fall, is relentlessly pursuing her affections.
Life outside can be just as dangerous. Strange things fall with the angels and wander the countrysides. The roads are filled with Vichies, cringing humans who've thrown their lot in with their oppressors and won't hesitate to take advantage of the weak. But some are still fighting, including William Holt. He leads a small cell of fighters, searching for a way to strike back against the angels without getting themselves killed in the process. And all around, the fallen angels inflict their savageries on the dwindling remains of humanity, enjoying every vice they'd been forbidden during their long centuries of service.
They Who Fell is the first book in a trilogy.

    Totally inaccurate
What would have made They Who Fell: Volume 1 better?
This book is so inaccurate about angles that it is distracting from the story.

    Please do some research
great narration but where's the plot?
okay, it has a plot...a paper think plot to be sure. the characters are two deminsional and lack development. it takes well over half the book to get into the plot. honestly, I can't sympathize much with any of the characters because I don't know them well enough.
I gave it three stars for a couple reasons. first, this narrator is awesome. second, the author is great at description and helping you see the environment around the story. beyond that this is just average.
    awesome

very exciting and captivating but violent
These could almost be enjoyed by even very young children except for the strong cruelty and violence. The a-social bullying done by the Glows is pretty bad, but feeding people to the rats is more shocking. I don't think I could have wanted my mid-teens to read this, much less the younger ones who are actually the intended audience.
Despite that, I enjoy these very much. The fight between good and evil is always a winning topic. Hatch's megalomania is either growing or just becoming more evident. In this volume we finally have people changing allegiances and rebelling, creating a much more complicated and realistic world. Hatch seems to forget that HE is a No-El, the people he plans for his Glows to conquer and dominate. Events are ramping up to a final showdown, but we still have a few volumes to go (at least one not even written yet). This volume also gets us closer to someone we've heard from but haven't known well in precious volumes. My guess as to this person's identity is more sure now, but we will still have to wait to see.
Hatch's speech to Quentin regarding his conquered population is as near to grand-standing as Mr. Evans has come so far. The sad thing is that I believe people on both political ends will think it refers to the other.
Regardless of the violence or political statements, this story captivates to the point that you can't wait to read the next one! Fred Berman is back doing the narrations, so all is well with the world.
Another great work by Richard Evans
Another great book can't wait till the next one comes out a great clif hanger. Keep up the great writing!!
    Suspenseful
This is one of the better ones of the series. Plenty of suspense here with a good mixture of political wisdom and history. Hate to have to wait a whole year for the cliffhanger reveal!
Thrilling story as usual in the Michael Vey series
What was one of the most memorable moments of Storm of Lightning?
The most memorable moments was the bonding I had with my 10 year old son who listened to the story together with me. My son and I have read all the Michael Vey series so far.
    Any additional comments?
I seriously wondering when it will all end... its getting a bit long drawn and I'm hoping we're ending the series soon... I'd like to read about how Dr Hatch meets his fate!!! GRRR...
This book was just a filler
    Any additional comments?
This was a shortest book out of all the books in the Vey series only 6 hours and 59 mins, and it was mostly a filler with little to no action what so ever only dialog with loads of drama.
It's not a bad story just wanted to let you know what your buying when you buy this one. It's a filler, things do happen, but don't expect any real action.

    enjoyable
This book kept my interest and left me wanting to know what happens next. I would like to have seen more character description of the king but at the end I discovered this was not the first book in a series so maybe that happened elsewhere.
    Good for a second book
What made the experience of listening to The Ciphers of Muirwood the most enjoyable?
The story continued and did not disappoint.
What other book might you compare The Ciphers of Muirwood to and why?
    Not sure
    Which scene was your favorite?
All of the scenes with Collier her husband. Not mushy but interesting in how he treats her.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
How she described her feelings, love which she didn't know, trying not to go to sleep, so full of her emotions this book.
    Any additional comments?
Made me ready for the third and last book, this book answered questions and gave you more questions.
    Wonderful story!
Once again Jeff Wheeler has me enthralled! Can't wait to jump into the next book!
    Favorite so far
Loved the story and how the characters are developing. Love the veil, space and time aspects.
    Excellent character building story.
Jeff Wheeler stated in his concluding remarks that the second book of a series is usually his favorite because things slow down a bit and main characters gain more depth. Well, I certainly agree that this book achieved that goal.
In this installment, Princess Mya finally goes to Muirwood Abby to study as a Cipher. Though girls are not allowed to learn how to read, Mya has been able to do so since childhood. She thought that she was the only one in the kingdom, but now she meets many other girls that wish to become mastons and learn to read during the night. We are introduced to the Aldermaston and his wife of Muirwood who immediately connect with Mya. We also get to know Mya's Grandmother the High Seer more in this book. Mya is given a companion who knows about Mya's brand and shadow stains. Through this story, Mya finally begins to have trustworthy people surround and support her mission to become a Maston and open the Apse vail once again.
Yes the characters become fully three dimentional in this book, but there are also character building quotes shared throughout the book. Mya shows us how compassion and meekness are not weakness but great strengths of character.
