    Publisher's Summary:
Barcelona is the greatest football team in the world, the greatest for a generation, and possibly the greatest of all time. This is the untold inside story of how the best and most loved football team in the world came to redefine how the game is played. We start with the 2011 Champions League final at Wembley, the game that ended the debate about whether Barcelona was the greatest team in the world and began a new one: are they the best ever? We are inside the winning dressing room and inside the mind of the team s coach, Pep Guardiola.
From there, the focus is on each of the iconic personalities of this team, telling its story through them, from its genesis in the late 1980s to their coronation in London: Guardiola; his mentor, Johan Cruyff; Xavi; Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi, perhaps the greatest footballer of all time.
    Critic Reviews:
"Fantastic book. It's can't-put-down good." (Oliver Holt, The Daily Mirror)
"Superbly-written analysis & celebration of Pep, Messi, Xavi etc. Brilliant book." (Henry Winter, The Daily Telegraph)

In-depth analysis of the greatest team ever
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would, not just to Barcelona fans but football fans everywhere. It clearly shows where Barcelona made mistakes, what were the circumstances and how luck played its role into constructing one of the best teams ever. Everyone can learn something from this book, the Football Manager video gamers, the football fanatics, the casual fan, the sports fan or anyone into sports.
What does Graham Hunter bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Graham Hunter, being the author, shows the excitement in parts that I would doubt can be portrayed when reading the book. Simple put, he does an excellent job narrating.
    Quality
It is a long book, but is worth the time. Excellent and very educational 5 star all round.
    Great Story!
I enjoyed this boy greatly! Fantastic history of the club and Mr. Hunter narrates the story superbly.
    Wonderful stories and important details
For anyone who loves the beautiful game, this is a must read. It has incredible personal details about each of the Barcelona players as well as the managers and decision makers that surround them. International football is such a small world that even fans of teams that compete with Barcelona may find that some of their favorite players or coaches were once involved with Barcelona. This book was such a great Audi companion for long drives to and from soccer events and taught me a lot as a coach as well.
    Superb ... A++++
A must for any Barça fans so much inside facts.. Won't be disappointed after buying it

    Title: The Secret Race
Subtitle: Inside the Hidden World of the Tour de France: Doping, Cover-ups, and Winning at All Costs
    Author: Tyler Hamilton, Daniel Coyle
    Narrator: Sean Runnette
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 11 hrs and 19 mins

    Release date: 09-07-12
    Publisher: Random House Audio Books
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 56 votes
    Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Celebrities
    Publisher's Summary:
Winner of the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award 2012.
On a fateful night in 2009, Tyler Hamilton and Daniel Coyle met for dinner at a restaurant in Boulder, Colorado. The two had met five years before while Coyle was writing his best-selling book Lance Armstrong: Tour de Force. But this time, Tyler had something else on his mind. He finally wanted to come clean, about everything: the doping, the lying, his years as Lance Armstrong's teammate on U.S. Postal,, and his decade spent running from the truth. "I'm sorry," he told Coyle. "It just feels so good to be able to talk about this. I've been quiet for so many years."
Over the next 18 months, Hamilton would tell his story - and his sport's story - in explosive detail, never sparing himself in the process. In a way, he became as obsessed with telling the truth as he had been with winning the Tour de France just a few years before.
The result of this determination is The Secret Race, a book that pulls back the curtain and takes us into the secret world of professional cycling like never before. It's a world populated by unbelievably driven - and some flawed - characters. A world where the competition used every means to get an edge, and the options were stark. A world where it often felt like there was no choice.
    Members Reviews:
    Wasn't a Fan, am now!
This book answers a lot of the questions a non-athlete would ask about why someone would dope. It comes across as being an honest account by someone who readily admits their own failings as a person. A very interesting insight into the world of professional bike racing and doping generally.
The whole story of how they did it, frightening!
If you could sum up The Secret Race in three words, what would they be?
    Remarkable
    Energetic
    Frightening
What did you like best about this story?
Getting to know Lance Armstrong and some of his teammates from an inside perspective. What it's like to live, train and compete in the top echelon of professional cheaters... I mean cyclists...
What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Sean really brings the dynamic of living the story. He tells it as though it is live and happening all around us right now... This could also be because I listen to it while cycling in the mornings!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't cry but I definitely laughed out loud several times while listening. Some of the stories were genuinely funny but mostly just quite shocking to learn some of the secret techniques these guys use to maintain their competitive advantages in the sport.
Is it moral to read Hamilton's Book?
What did you love best about The Secret Race?
Complete and shocking truth about widespread drug usage from the early 90s. Many famous riders are named in this book. But a moral dilemna given Nicole Cooke's recent retirement speech as follows: "Tyler Hamilton will make more money from his book describing how he cheated than Bessette or I will make in all our years of our honest labour. The situation requires the very basics of morality. Please don't reward people like Hamilton with money. That is the last thing he needs.

    Title: Marilyn Monroe
    Subtitle: The Biography
    Author: Donald Spoto
    Narrator: Anna Fields
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 22 hrs and 49 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 09-05-12
    Publisher: Blackstone Audio, Inc.
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 175 votes
    Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Celebrities
    Publisher's Summary:
Fifty years after her death, Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe still beguiles the world, her image enthralling millions. Many books have attempted to explain her allure and tell her story, but none has succeeded as well as this work by acclaimed biographer Donald Spoto.
Spotos exhaustive research uncovers a conspiracy of silence, allowing him to present the facts, free from often-repeated myths and speculation. Granted access to more than thirty-five thousand pages of formerly sealed files containing letters, diaries, appointment books, and other intimate papers, he also interviewed nearly two hundred people who had never before spoken on record. From the papers of Marilyns psychiatrist and her medical files to recently declassified government documents, the truth emerges and provides a moving, often shocking picture of the real Marilyn Monroe - including her connection to the Kennedys and the bizarre, horrifying truth about how she really died.
    Critic Reviews:
"This is a book that wound up teaching me a great deal about Hollywood, the social history of California, the movie business, the trials of female actors in American show business, and the life of a woman who has been so mythologized that often the real woman is obscured from actual view." (Erica Jong for
    Washington Post Book World)
"Spoto has given Monroe the treatment she deserves. At last she emerges not as a goddess but as a human being in this extraordinary volume." (
    Daily Telegraph)
    "Provocative!" (
    Entertainment Weekly)
    Members Reviews:
    The Definitive MM biography
What made the experience of listening to Marilyn Monroe the most enjoyable?
The fact that it was unabridged. I think the narration is quite good, but I would have preferred to hear the actual author's voice.
What other book might you compare Marilyn Monroe to and why?
The biographies of the Queen, the Kennedys, and Diana, Princess of Wales by Sally Bedell Smith. Sally Smith, like Donald Spoto, knows how to research and pen a proper biography, unlike hatchet hacks like Kitty Kelley and Christopher Anderson who rely too much on gossip, printed tabloid reports, and unsubstantiated or incredible sources for their books.
Which character as performed by Anna Fields was your favorite?
Marilyn Monroe herself. She would have wanted this fair and balanced account of her life written before Norman Mailer (1972) and Anthony Summers (1985) brought sensationalism into their versions, which clearly distorted her legacy and damaged the legend of Monroe. Mailer did not mince words when he admitted forty years ago that he wrote a semi-fictional biography because he needed the money. After that all MM biographers, except for Spoto, did the same. No wonder Spoto was the only one granted access to her private letters and documents. He has done full justice to her memory and once and for all cast permanent doubt on the many lies told about this heartbreaking icon. She deserved nothing less.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Absolutely.
    Any additional comments?
If anyone wishes to know the real truth about Marilyn, this is the biography to read or listen to.
    The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe
Monroe's life is full of mystery, from her birth to her death. Donald Spoto tries to solve this mystery, but I don't always agree with his conclusions.

    Publisher's Summary:
To his fans, he was the king of Hollywood. To others, he was the embittered and alcoholic king of tragedy. In all shades of life, his character was epic.
Gable's rise to idol stature was swift. He made close to one hundred films in his lifetime and achieved immortalization in the timeless epic, Gone with the Wind. Off-screen, the man who finally won the indomitable Scarlett OHara was even more of a ladys man than his character. He seduced, and, in several cases, married women of immense wealth to sustain his extravagant lifestyle and further his career. Among his most famous lovers were Hollywood stars Grace Kelly, Ava Gardner, and Joan Crawford. But only Carole Lombard, with her stunning blonde looks and bawdy sense of humor, captured his heart and taught him how to love.

My mom is a huge Gable fan, and my dad was a member of Misfits MC, so it was a very appropriate gift.
    Charisma & Charm trumps all.
Hollywood's moral values were not those of the rest of the country even in the 1920's & 30's. Anywhere else Clark Gable is a cheating swine. Nobody knew this at the time because big brother MGM protected it's own from unpleasantness leaking out to his adoring public. His acting ability & magnetism allowed him to have any women anytime he wanted, if you believe the author Jane Ellen Wayne. She blows hot, cold & lukewarm on her subject. I guess that passes for objectivity.
Gable was a whinner, over-sexed & never satisfied. His first two marriages to older mentors were shams. They served their purpose & were discarded. He cheated on them both regularly.
His rise to stardom was slow & tedious, like the first two tapes of this audio version. But then it picked up. He was committed at first to the live stage. But, like many other legitimate actors, he was seduced by the $$$ to be made in Hollywood. His timing was excellent. Many silent era stars could not make the transition to talkies. His voice was very masculine & very sexy. He cleaned up his act with a new set of teeth & physique. He life was owned by MGM. He never had the backbone to defy Louis B. Mayer. He hated him & griped constantly, but did what he was told. MGM in turn, made him their biggest star, & his fans could not get enough of him. He was dubbed the King of Hollywood & never relinquished that title. He was a working actor & made many very good movies such as "It Happened One Night", "Saratoga", five with Jean Harlow, & of course "Gone With the Wind".
The turning point in Gable's life was his marriage to THE love of his life, Carole Lombard. She died a hero's death as she returned to California from a bond drive early in the war. She was flying back rather than taking the train & her plane crashed in the mountains near Las Vegas. She had decided to fly because either she missed Clark very much (they were in love with each other) or she suspected him of cheating on her. Lana Turner, Joan Crawford, or ??? Take your pick. He was fooling around on the only women he ever really loved. He never recovered from her death or the guilt he felt. This made him a more serious, introspective & maybe better actor.

    Publisher's Summary:
There had been mythic sports figures before Cassius Clay, but when he burst upon the sports scene in the 1950s, he broke the mold. Those were the years when boxing and boxers were at the mercy of the mob and the whim of the sportswriters. If you wanted a shot at a title, you did it their way.
Young Clay did it his way - with little more than an Olympic gold medal to his credit, he danced into Sonny Liston's baleful view and provoked the terrifying champ into accepting him as his next challenger. The rest is history.
Muhammad Ali has become a mythic hero, an American icon, and a self-invented legend. As both a mirror and a molder of his times, Ali became the most recognizable face on the planet, a key figure in the cultural battles of the times. This is the story of his self-creation and his rise to glory, told by a master storyteller.

    Pre-Review Smack Talk:
I will review this sucker tomorrow. David Remnick better quake. I'm coming for this book. I read it from cover to cover. I know the words better than Remnick could hope to ever know it. Of course he wrote it, because the words ran from him. I know Remick's words better than his mamma knows him.
Tomorrow. Yes. I'll give this book till tomorrow. And then I'm coming. I'm coming with a pen. I'm coming with poetry. I'm coming with the majesty of Muhammad Ali. The G.O.A.T.. The Greatest. The man who fought a nation. The man who fought for a people. A pretty man. So pretty. He was a butterfly that Nabokov couldn't catch or pin. Tomorrow I will take on this book and take my piece in three rounds. But the Man and the book will have to wait for tomorrow. Tonight I've got a bed to contend with. And I'm the greatest sleeper of all time.
    Weight in:
I read the hardback version of Remnick's book, which was 306 pages (326 with acknowledgement, sources, and index). My edition was a 4th printing, 1st Edition from 1998. I also had the Audible/audio version which I debated about listening to because it was abridged and I really hate abridged books (in any format). No. Hate is far too simple a word. I despise abridgments. I abhor them. I abase and disdain them. It is a lazy and cheap way to do an audio-recording and all you end up with is an ugly, deformed homunculus of the original. Go all the way or go home David.
I mean for GOD's sake Remnick. Why would you let people abridge the audio version? Your audio choice was just stupid. It was a 6-hour abridgment which usually translates into cutting 1/3 to 1/2 of this book. So, I ended up listening while I did work around the house and at points where it jumped, I'd rn over to the book and read the gaps. Seriously. I had to read the gaps because you couldn't pay for Dick Hill to read the whole thing or Brilliance Audio thought it was only going to sell if you cut it from 12 hours to 6? Stupid. Reckless. Chump. IT wasn't like this was some William T. Vollmann 3000+ word book on Violence. This was a 300 page book on Muhammad Ali. The Greatest. Do you not respect yourself or do you not resect Ali? Or did you just let the producers talk you down?
And yes Remnick, I know you are the editor of the New Yorker, but really man.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.-Elizabeth Barrett Browning, 1850
How do I hate thee? How much time do you have?-Joan Rivers, today, about two-ish
Joan Rivers is a groundbreaking, award-winning, internationally renowned entertainment goddess. Shes also opinionated - especially when it comes to people she hates. Like people who think giving birth is a unique achievement. Or well-adjusted - a.k.a. boring - ex-child stars who dont even have a decent addiction.
With all of her diverse experiences, it stands to reason that Joan has seen, done, said, and heard a lot of hateful things. Thank god, she took notes.
Here - uncensored and totally uninhibited - she give the best of her worst to First Ladies, closet cases, hypocrites, Hollywood, feminists, and overrated historical figures. And even when letting herself have it, Joan doesnt hold back in this honest, unabashedly hilarious love letter to the hater in all of us.

Would you listen to I Hate Everyone...Starting With Me again? Why?
    It makes me laugh
What was one of the most memorable moments of I Hate Everyone...Starting With Me?
her take down of rich women with everything "whining" about their "sadness"
    The New Queen of Mean
If you dislike Joan Rivers, you'll hate this book. Otherwise, it feels like a romp through a card catalog of her life's work, in which she skewers just about every sacred cow you can imagine, up to and including the abuses of modern technology. It seems rare to hear Joan Rivers without a live audience, but this is an energetic read through a dense thicket of barbed observations that leave no one unscathed. Potty mouth? You bet. On target? Flawlessly.
    So disappointing I could cry
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Not funny, just old and tired. I love her shows shes witty and smart and in the now. This book might as well be telling mother in law jokes. Sad and embarrassing. I didn't even finish the book. I was really looking forward to it as well. Wasted my money don't waste yours.
    Laugh a minute
She is brilliant. She takes on everything! From Hollywood to herself to babies to death.
Just remember, it's humour. So laugh!
    Brilliant
Would you consider the audio edition of I Hate Everyone...Starting With Me to be better than the print version?
Don't know, not having read it
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Why Joan of course
    Which scene was your favorite?
There are no "scenes", but I loved each and every chapter
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laugh, Joan made me laugh out loud, several times, felt a bit silly, but there was no one to see me
    Any additional comments?
I just loved this audio book, Joan Rivers is one of the very few comedians I enjoy. I even watch a show about fashion only because she is the star.
I can't wait for the next book

I loved this, I was literally laughing aloud. You want to hate her, you really do...but you just can't. Tastes a little like Mean Girls....fun listen!
A romp in 6" Albino Crocodile Stuart Weitzmans!
Tavia Gilbert is one of my favorite narrators. And her reading of White Girl Problems is the best I've heard yet. With only one exception (a Jamaican accent is *not* easy), her voicing of every character is outstanding and her pacing is spot on. The book is extremely funny. It gives you permission to laugh 'til you snort at how ludicrous some people can be. For Christmas this year I want Ms. Gilbert to voice-over every entry on the Babe Walker blog!
    Hilarious!!!
I am a huge Tavia Gilbert fan. When I discovered she narrated the book, I was curious so I listened to the 5 min sample. I laughed so hard until I cried. If you are interested in being cheered up, get this book. Tavia's comedy delivery is spot on flawless. I am a big fan of Babe Walker although I really love her alter ego Babette!
Could not stop laughing. Total guilty pleasure.
Where does White Girl Problems rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
The story was funny as hell and the actress reading it did a great job.
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Babette.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, it was a total guilty pleasure. I mean, it's very chic and very LA, but also very relatable.
    I thought it was hilarious.
    Any additional comments?
Very funny. I was entertained the whole time. I hope there's a sequel!
    Okay, but not great
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
While I enjoyed her certain sense of humor and could relate in many ways, having grown up in Orange County, California, the book seemed to wander without direction through her life. Some of the chapters are amusing, but the book, in general, dragged for me. It wasn't what I expected.
Would you ever listen to anything by Babe Walker again?
Yes, I would probably giver her another try.
You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
There were some amusing incidents. I think the chapter with the sex partner/trainer was too much, I get the humor behind it, but it was just too much for me.
    Any additional comments?
I think many people won't get the level of Babe's expectations and won't understand the daily excessive indulgences, which granted, aren't that over the top for those that actually live that type of lifestyle, especially in L.A. And that's where the humor lies....

    Publisher's Summary:
    "Youre not doing it right."
Michael Ian Black has been hearing these five words all his life. And nowon the eve of his 40th birthdayhe is finally beginning to wonder why. As a husband and father living in the suburbs, Michael asks the question so many of us ask ourselves at one point or another: How did I end up here? (And also: If fat Kevin Federline succumbs to his own wasted potential, what does that mean for the rest of us?)
The answers to these questions, and others that you probably would have never thought to ask, are painstakingly detailed in Youre Not Doing It Right, Michael Ian Blacks debut memoir. Darkly humorous and told with raw honesty, Michael takes on his childhood, his marriage, his children, and his career with unexpected candor and deadpan wit in this funny-because-it's-true essay collection. He shares the neuroses that have plagued him since childhood and how they shaped him into the man he is today. Stories include: How his lesbian feminist mother raised him to be a tough but sensitive New Seventies Man like Alan Alda; how his camp girlfriend dumped him for a guy nicknamed Taco; how he backed into marrying his wife by breaking up with her first; how he is completely undone by hearing a Creed song on the radio on the eve of becoming a father; and how he learned to use Santa Claus as a "bad cop" threat to control his kids year 'round.
From the comedian who brought you Stella and The State, Michael Ian Black says the kinds of things youre afraid to admit. Here he is: naked, exposed, a little chilly, and understandably shriveled.
    Members Reviews:
    Funny, Heartfelt, and Honest
I've always been a fan of Michael Ian Black, ever since I first discovered him as a member of the hilarious comedy trio "Stella". I expected this book to be very shticky, over-the-top, and silly; much like his comedy -- and it definitely has these elements. However it's also brutally honest and a gives you look into his personal life and marriage. I was not expecting such honesty and openness, but I loved his stories/advice and found it all fascinating.
Michael gives a great read/performance, and this book definitely has some solid laugh out loud moments (for me atleast). Highly recommend this book. And if you like this book you should check out his podcast "Mike and Tom Eat Snacks".
Not what I expected, but still worth the price
What other book might you compare You're Not Doing It Right to and why?
It reminded me of Tina Fey's Bossy Pants as well as David Cross' I Drink for A Reason, mostly due to the mixture of biography and comedy as well as the intricate detail for certain stories.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed through a great deal of it, and was brought to tears by one particular scene.
    Surprisingly poignant
I loved this book. I expected it to be funny; I did not expect it to be thought-provoking (really!) and poignant. Michael Ian Black writes from the heart and will make you laugh about a range of topics, from marriage & family to pop culture and religion. Highly recommended.
Honest, funny and worth using a precious credit
    Any additional comments?
I love his dry, honest humor. If you are married, with children, you will understand every moment of this book.

    Publisher's Summary:
To everyone else, John F. Kennedy Jr. may have been American royalty, but to RoseMarie Terenzio, he was an entitled nuisanceand she wasnt afraid to let him know it. RoseMarie was his personal assistant, his publicist, and one of his closest confidantes during the last five years of his life. In this, her first memoir, she bravely recounts her own fairy tale interrupted, describing the unlikely friendship between a blue-collar girl from the Bronx and John F. Kennedy Jr.
Funny, moving, and fresh, her memoir is a unique account by the woman who was with him through dating, politics, the paparazzi, and his marriage to Carolyn Bessette. Her street smarts, paired with her loyalty, candor, and relentless work ethic, made her the trusted insider to Americas most famous man.
After John and Carolyns tragic, untimely deaths on July 16, 1999, RoseMaries whole world came crashing down around her, along with her hopes for the future. Only now does she feel she can tell her story in a book that is at once a moving tribute and a very real picture of her friend and employer.
Many books have sought to capture John F. Kennedy Jr.s life. None has been as intimate or as honest as Fairy Tale Interrupted, a true portrait of the man behind the iconpatient, protective, surprisingly goofy, occasionally thoughtless and self-involved, yet capable of extraordinary generosity and kindness. She reveals what John really had in mind for his political future, how he handled media attention, and the reality of life behind the scenes at George magazine. She also shares how she dealt with the ultra-secretive planning of John and Carolyns wedding on Cumberland Islandand the heartbreak of their deaths.
Fairy Tale Interrupted is a deeply loving story and a fascinating adventure, filled with warmth, humor, insight, and five years worth of unforgettable memories.
    Critic Reviews:
"Terenzio's captivating story, told with style and grace, chronicles her time with Kennedy within the glorious but often brutal bubble that encircled his world, and what he taught her about living." (Publishers Weekly)

    Mediocre read
Is there anything you would change about this book?
My guess is that she didn't work for him long enough to experience enough interesting information with John. As a result, there isn't enough 'meat' in this book. It might have been better left unwritten.
Would you listen to another book narrated by RoseMarie Terenzio?
    No
Do you think Fairy Tale Interrupted needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No! There was barely enough for one book, let alone another.
    Any additional comments?
If one wants to get more insight into John, I'd suggest 'Forever Young' by William Noonan who was a close friend of his from childhood into adulthood.
Also, I don't know where this author read the book because at times, there was echo noise in the background and at one point, there was a siren in the background.

Superman. Diesel. The Big Aristotle. Shaq Fu. The Big Daddy. The Big Shaqtus. Wilt Chamberneezy. The Real Deal. The Big Shamrock. Shaq.
You know him by any number of names, and chances are you know all about his legendary basketball career: Shaquille "Shaq" O'Neal is a four-time NBA champion and a three-time NBA Finals MVP. After being an All-American at Louisiana State University, he was the overall number-one draft pick in the NBA in 1992. In his 19-year career, Shaq racked up 28,596 career points (including 5,935 free throws!); 13,099 rebounds; 3,026 assists; 2,732 blocks; and 15 All-Star appearances.
These are statistics that are almost as massive as the man himself. His presence - both physically and psychologically - made him a dominant force in the game for two decades.
But if you follow the game, you also know that there's a lot more to Shaquille O'Neal than just basketball. Shaq is famous for his playful, and at times provocative, personality. He is, literally, outsize in both scale and persona. Whether rapping on any of his five albums, challenging celebrities on his hit television show Shaq Vs., studying for his Ph.D. or serving as a reserve police officer, there's no question that Shaq has led a unique and multi-dimensional life. And in this rollicking new autobiography, Shaq discusses his remarkable journey, including his candid thoughts on teammates and coaches, including Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Phil Jackson, and Pat Riley.
From growing up in difficult circumstances and getting cut from his high-school basketball team to his larger-than-life basketball career, Shaq lays it all out in Shaq Uncut: My Story.

    The Truth about Shaq.
What did you love best about Shaq Uncut?
Shaq. Anytime there's a story about athletes and money its either a outrageous contract or bankruptcy. Shap is generous and a business man. He comes across warm, insecure and honest. His honestly shines through over and over allowing readers/listeners to know him on a different level and care about his story.
What did you like best about this story?
Shaq is bigger than basketball and lives like it. He has unwritten rules that define him: loyalty, honesty, and charity.
    Which scene was your favorite?
Whenever he talk about helping out children. Shaqaclause or bringing snow to LA.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Shaq's love for his family. Though Shaq refuses to admit it, he was what many would consider to abused by his step-father. Shaq loves his step-father anyway and sees through the abuse to what Phillip Morris is trying to teach Shaq. Phillip Morris had wonderful lessons for Shaq to learn but an abusive way to teach lessons. I have profound respect for Shaq because he understood that and learned through the abusive relationship.
    Entertaining, Informative, Honest
What did you love best about Shaq Uncut?
When I bought this for my boyfriend (a massive basketball fan) to listen to on a long haul flight I had no intention of listening to it too. As it turned out we had to share the headphones to listen!
The author has done a great job of telling Shaq's story and (according to the big man himself) dug up memories that he had forgotten himself.
    Loved it.
