I enjoyed Meryl Streep's narration

The backround music is humorous, it is from the 80's. I have listened to it twice so far.

Title: Pokemon Go: Diary of a Mewtwo

Subtitle: Unofficial Pokemon Book

Author: Isabel Jones

Narrator: Neal Chandran

Format: Unabridged

Length: 52 mins

Language: English

Release date: 11-17-16

Publisher: Kemah Bay Marketing, LLC

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 8 votes

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

Publisher's Summary:

Are you ready to get into the adventure of Pokemon Go?

Here is the prologue.

Day 1:

They call me "The Great Uncatchable Mewtwo." Everywhere I go, Pokemon Trainers try to catch me, and they fail. It's not because I'm fast - it's because I'm so powerful. People pelt me with Poke Balls, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls, and they all bounce off my cold, smooth, muscular skin. I'm practically immune to Incense and Lures. There aren't enough Razz Berries in the world to slow me down.

There aren't very many Mewtwos in this world that I know of, but for the most part, Mewtwos like to hide out in caves or deep, dark forests, far away from everything and everyone. Not me! I proudly strut through cities and towns, without a care in the world. I'm uncatchable. I cause a stir everywhere I go as Pokemon Trainers trample each other trying to capture me in their Poke Balls. It's never going to happen. I'll never be caught.

You might be thinking that I sound a little prideful. I am proud! I haven't met a Pokemon Trainer yet who could capture me! They say that pride comes before the fall. I guess that means that, if you're prideful, something bad will happen to you, like a fall. I'm not worried about being prideful, because I'm never going to have a fall. I'm going to walk tall forever....

Best book on tape I've heard all year!

An outstanding audiocassette, beautiful illustrations in the book; wonderful slant on the original fairy tale. Equally enjoyed by parents and children. Our 2 1/2 year old spontaneously quotes humorous lines from the story. Great for car rides.

My six-year-old son loves it!

Narrated by Holly Hunter, the tape is a hoot! Very funny, very engaging.

Great!

'David Crockett' starts off by explaining that all children should know their history. This was a great way to do it (with a little tall tale style embellishment thrown in)! My kids loved this story and sat quietly, listening to every word and laughing as Nicholas Cage brought David Crockett to life. I would recommend this title to anyone, as it was thoroughly entertaining and informative. Happy listening.

Very fun and a quick little distraction

If you like Nicolas Cage or a fun quick story that is read quirky and super not caring about the seriousness of the Alamo ;) this is for you!
