I love this book because you never know where you're going to find your true love. I recommend anyone looking for a LOVE story to read this book. I also recommend you read the beautiful series.

catastrophe

This could have even been called "A Beautiful Catastrophe". So many chaotic events surround Jonathan and Sandra as they search for their true soulmate. Love and happiness abound in this book as you see previous and current main characters lives bloom.

What made the experience of listening to Mobster's Girl the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed the dual voices of Antonio and Megan. The narrators added life to a story which was already good. I also liked the dual POV of both major characters.

What other book might you compare Mobster's Girl to and why?

I haven't read any other books similar to this one. The author doesn't sugar coat the violence in the lives of two teens raised in mafia life. But she delves deeply into who they are and portrays them as real kids trying to deal with it by separating their lives into compartments, both dark and light. Within a mafia world of crime, these two people experience love, fear, compassion, and hope just like any other couple.

Have you listened to any of Robert Burton and Cheyenne Madison s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. This duo read the story masterfully; truly a step up from reading the book in print.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes; the moment when Megan decided she wanted to commit to Tonio, in spite of his mafia responsibilities, realizing he was a product of how he had been raised. It doesn't excuse it away, it just explains how Tonio became who he was. All kids want to please Dad. Antonio was raised to please Dad by becoming an enforcer. He knew no other life.

Also, Antonio's tenderness and devotion to Megan, in stark contrast to his behavior in the midst of gun fights and "doing stuff for his Dad", were sweet and protective. I also liked that he did not push Megan into sex. These are teenagers. I know some teens have sex but Antonio respected Megan. She was "it" for him and his willingness to get to know her and woo her first was sexier than any bedroom scene.

I had already purchased and read this book and its sequels in e-book format when I won this audiobook in a contest via the author's newsletter. I enjoyed the audiobook rendition even more the second time around. Bravo, really.

This is a wonderful book

Grace was devastated when she lost her love of five years. John was a firefighter and lost his life on the job. Their love didnt dissolve, there was no deceit, no reason for it to not continue on with marriage and children. It was ripped from her, her future with him stolen.

Drews life used to be about money and prestige. He was a lawyer in London, working hard and living the life, married to Susan-a gorgeous bombshell. Well, that is until he walked in one day and found her occupied with one of his co-workers. That life, along with his marriage ended. That moment not only broke his heart, it destroyed him.

After moving across the globe to head up a restoration project, Grace comes face to face with Drew, a man who looks identical to John. The more time they spend together, the more her suspicions and feelings grow. Does she feel this way because he looks like John? He may look the same, but he is so different. As she uncovers secrets of the past, she is torn on what they will do to their growing relationship. Will he, or even-does she, trust in her feelings.

This is a wonderful book, one that is more than just the typical contemporary romance. This is a book about loss and grief, of truths and acceptance, of letting go and moving forward, of growth and loving again. Kim Loraine does an excellent job giving us an emotion, hopeful, and heartwarming tale. The book is well-written with great character development. The main theme was a little predictable, but there are twists and turns that kept it refreshing and unexpected. There is great detail, without going overboard, that paint a beautiful picture.

I am looking forward to more and cant wait to get started on the next book, which is Valeries story.

What a wonderful book!

I loved this book! It was written by an author whom was new to me. The descriptions and character development were excellent. One could feel the emotions Grace and Drew felt. I enjoyed the fact that this story was not "insta-love" but developed over time. Yes, there was heartaches, but also happiness. The narrator did a great performance as well. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator and/or publisher. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Narration!

The story was fine, but the narrator & characters sounded drunk. These are dominant fighters, & they sound close to passing out. Awful!

Lusting for Zane but not so much for the narrator!

The story of Zane and Abby was intriguing only if you can get passed the narrator. I think that if there was a better narrator or even a female and male narrator the story would have progressed a lot better. If you have listen to other books in the series, you know the roundabout of what these men are about (bdsm/mma fighters with average daily lives). It would have been a better read than a listen. The story can be predictable at times but there are still cliffhangers making you wonder what is going to happen next. Becca Jameson ends her books in ways you know there will be another. There is light BDSM and more story, so if you are looking for a full on BDSM book this is not for you. If you are looking for a love story built around a Dom and newly found submissive, and the trials and tribulations that consume their everyday life then this book is for you.

I, honestly, think Becca Jameson needs to find another narrator besides Annie Chapman. I have definitely heard better and I am disappointed that by now she hasnt realized this narrator does not suit her stories.

This book will not be a return listen. If I feel the need to read a Becca Jameson book again, I will do it with a paperback or hopefully by then there will be another narrator. I wouldnt waste a credit on the audible version.

My Favorite Fire & Icing Book

Would you consider the audio edition of Sweet to You to be better than the print version?

They are both wonderful, but it is always nice to hear the audio version of the book, to hear another person's characterization of the voices you've imagined. I really enjoyed the audio version.

What did you like best about this story?

Everything, but if I have to choose one thing, it's Maddie. She is fabulous, and I really enjoyed her story. Jamison is wonderful, too, and together them make a great couple and a great story.

What does Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

As with her other narrations, Piper does an excellent job of capturing and expressing all of the various characters' personalities. I really enjoy her reading.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I experienced a whole range of emotions with this story, and found myself smiling a lot.

Possibly my favorite Fire & Icing story ever. For now. :-)

I love this series...Jessie Evans really knows how to tell a story. I love this little town and all the people who live in it. Faith was great and i love to see a strong willed women get the man of her dreams :) Mick is totally a mans man and when those kinds of men fall they fall hard. I am glad that Faith stuck by Mick and that Mick was man enough to learn from his mistakes with his ex-crazy girlfriend.

A Family Like No Other!

Griffin to the rescue. Don't you just wish you had friends and family like the 8th circle? They give their lives for each other.

I don't like to see Nora and Sren appart, but I love reading how sassy Nora was while their time away from one another. For 12yrs Nora was his and now she's this powerful Dominatrix. Nora fights him and she almost made me dislike her for just a quick second(trust me I'm over it) when she kept pushing him to find someone. My Priest always knows what to say:

"Mine," Sren said. "You are mine. That's who you are."

So I said book 3 was my favorite. All I need to read is just a simple sentenced like that and I'm mush. Plus Lance is just.....Undescribableâï

5 hope of more stars

The Last Good Knight Part IV: Fit to Be Tied is the hope of more and the possibility of being a savior. In this we see the turmoil brewing, wanting so much to move on, to belong, to dare I say it love...but there is a underlying sense of sadness, like deep down they know the truth. This series has a way of sucking you in and not letting you go, making you feel everything along the way.

Thoroughly enjoyable series!

This is a five part series - that once you start Scars & Stripes - you'll be addicted and needing to complete the series. In this series we revisit Mistress Nora's life after she has left her lifelong love Soren but before Reisz's first novel The Siren. For those who've read Reisz's works - this gives her fans snippets into the main characters of The 8th Circles lives.

Great character development and yes, as Reisz has mentioned in her blog tour - each part/novella leaves readers on a cliff-hanger.

Brilliant and easy to read writing style, it immerses the reader in the story.

Tug at my heart strings please...

This one starts with good news and ends with a tug of your heart strings but not before a wonderful exchange between Soren and Nora. Their feelings are so evident. If they could only see them at this point. Nora has no idea the power of Soren's love. I'm afraid of what happens to Lance. But I will keep reading... While he is still there.

Oh, so satisfying

A wonderful penultimate installment in this novella series, and I almost don't want it to end. But only almost -- after all, the events of the Red Years happen after this, and nobody in their right mind would want to miss out on those.

Hot Romance with a Mystery thrown in ....

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it was a romance with a solid mystery thrown in also. Some books can be good in one category ~ romance OR mystery but A.M. Madden has shown that they are equally good at both. I am looking forward to more of their work.

Which character as performed by Lynn Barrington was your favorite?

As usual, Ms. Barrington hits this one out of the park. Each of the main characters: Ella, Ben, Andrea and Rob are well voiced. She makes each character stand out and shine at the right moments. Ms. Barrington keeps you in the story and makes you want to come back for more. Its always sad when a book that she narrates ends. You just want more!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Ella was in the hospital and Ben was by her side. The dedication he shows is what you want to see from a partner/lover/spouse.

Lovers, Secrets, & the Mob

Really enjoyed this audiobook. Well developed characters (Andrea my favorite), very interesting story, and exceptional narration. Loved the nicknames (Batman & Robin, Ken & Barbie, and Superman). Told in alternating chapters by Ella and Ben~two people who have been scarred by violent crimes in their families~brought together by their best friends, Andrea and Rob. A real age turner to the very end. Strong language and graphic sexual situations.

Good story idea but not developed

The author has an intriguing story idea here but what I did not enjoy was that it is rushed. I did not realize at the time I bought the book it was only 70 pages and it is a cliffhanger. Therefore the couple is thrown together and I did not find myself really connecting or feeling the chemistry between them. I liked her when she stood up to him on the roof and walked away, but then 10 minutes later she comes back and basically throws herself at him.. It sorta contradicted what she told him on the roof... Then Mr. Badass "Slayer" biker tries to take her in the bathroom and then allows her to dress and walk away without completing... (that felt weird on my side)... He says no other woman has made him work so hard for it... I didn't see him work hard for it..

Again, great story line but I believe the author should develop the story and characters more

Way too short..

potentially a great story but way too short. by the time Slayer and Nadia work out their issues I will have spent $7.00! not gonna happen, so tired of authors doing this. :(

A hot and sexy read!

In "Slayer (Sons of Rebellion Motorcycle Club)" we meet Nadia the carefree and wild daughter of the leader of the Midnight Stalkers Motorcycle club who has lived under the watchful eye of her father and kept far away from trouble, the motorcycle club and its members. Despite her father's best efforts to keep her away from the "life" she becomes drawn in by Slayer, a member of a rival club.

In this story, Nadia is written to be a strong, independent woman, longing to be free. She's wild and determined to live her life her own way. Slayer is a strong and sexy alpha character. He takes what he wants and doesn't apologize for it or let anything stand in his way.

If you want a steamy hot read, then this is the book for you.

Honest Review

3.5 Stars

I found it really hard to rate this book, I went back and forth between 3.5 and 4 stars for ages, and I'm still not satisfied with my final rating. To be honest I'd say it's somewhere in the middle, 3.75 stars to be pernickety.

The writing was good and the storyline was intriguing enough to make me want to continue with the series to find out what happens between Hunter and Nadia. Nadia is the daughter of the president of the Midnight Stalkers MC, Hunter is the Sergeant-At-Arms of a rival MC, Sons of Rebellion. Hunter has been tasked with a deadly mission, a kill list of Midnight Stalkers. The two meet at a bar, neither know who the other is but their attraction to each other is strong.
