Great Story

Wonderful experience

What made the experience of listening to Bedding the Billionaire the most enjoyable?

This is a great story about a woman that teaches others to be yourself and to do what you want to be and be who you want to be, yet she doesn't believe really that she is right for the person she wants to be with.

No this was my first and I wouldn't mind reading others.

When Lucy's sister was in the hospital and Jamie just moved and helped her to get to her sister,and family and was there for her.

This was a great read/listen. The narrator was great. I would recommend.

Hot Listen

I enjoy when a narrator matches the author's vision and voice of a story. Even though this is the 3rd book in a series, it was my first listen/read by this author. This book is able to be listened/read as a standalone. I enjoyed it so much I am going back and reading/ listening to books 1 and 2.

This story is sweet and spicy. Jamie reminds me of Mark Darcy from Bridget Jones. Lucy keeps fighting against the grain for what she wants. Both have a lesson to learn.

How to mend a broken soul?

What did you like best about this story?

This book has two endings, one HEA and the other a cliffhanger - I have different ratings for each.

HEA - 4.5 Stars

The four stars goes to the execution and narration. I was able to imagine Cole, Eden, and Emmy's world, their present and their pasts. In short, I smelled the ocean, felt the sand on my toes and fingers, the cold of winter, and warmth of the hearth. M. Leighton was able to pull me in by the way she built the characters' world and develop each one of them from broken pieces to somewhat together as a whole. The dialogue was sharp and engaging, I loved the interaction between Cole and Eden and between Eden and Emmy. One thing I didn't feel believable though is that Emmy as a 6 year old, with not a lot of interaction with people in healthy relationships, seem to have too much insight regarding a relationship between her mom and Cole. (When you read it you'll see what I mean.)

The narration is also executed well by M. Makena and R. Wayne. I don't believe I have listened to either one of their narrations before but I think I will listen to more of Roger's. The performance were as they should be, neither one of them sounded too young nor too old. I believe, it is due to narration that I could imagine or internalize the characters and understand the subtext of their dialogue. The additional .5 star is for a well-written story, I understood the context without feeling like the author was holding my hand - the writing and dialogue was consistent and believable. I didn't read this book, I felt it.

So I subtracted half a star from perfect because, I don't think it's very realistic to believe that the happy ending is solid. Three people with PTSD need a lot more than each other to heal. I think that the HEA is fragile at this point so I think the ending is incomplete and abrupt. But I think it is rushed because of the alternate ending that leads to the next book.

Cliffhanger - 3.5 stars.

So all of the above but I am subtracting a half star from all the goodness because it is a cliffhanger. I'm sorry, it's one of my pet peeves - I NEVER buy a book that is not finished - I won't even look into it until all the books are out since I believe it is a waste of my time. The alternate ending is so out of context that I don't think it detracts from the book or the HEA.

It's a wonderfully well written romance novel. It started out a little sad, but then the story get into a new heights. I fell in love with Fallon and Reid.

This was a sweet and sad contemporary story. It's funny how Fallon pushes everyone away, but the ones closest to won't budge. But the over baring friends do get a bit annoying. I like that Reid was so determined to be by her side no matter what. I also loved the authors personal note at the end! Great narration!

Sweet story!

I love a story where I can laugh as well as cry and this story did it for me. The characters are real and Jaime Lamchick did a great job as narrator. Will look for other books written by Maria Josephs and also others that are narrated by Jaime Lamchick.

Becky had lots of different voices for characters. She has a distinct voice and accent that is enjoyable.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It was a great pace to relax and take in. Perfect for just before bedtime to me.

Marie is hired to decorate rental cabins. Reece and Marie know each other well. Love each other too. Trouble is Marie has trouble receiving Reece's love. Especially when she is treated like a second class citizen by some in town, which only reenforces her low opinion of herself. Reece's sick dad speaks words that affirm her and encourages his son to not let Marie get away. Will Marie choose forgiveness or always measure herself by her mistakes?

A great second in the Pacific Shores series.

I loved this book.

This is a great listen. I want to get the rest of the series. It is very uplifting and really show the power of God's forgiveness but also the struggles of forgiving ourselves. I enjoyed the narrator too.

Gayle's Portland Storm is a top hockey romance series! Gayle develops her stories around real-life issues, creates authentic characters, builds delicious chemistry, includes multi-dimensional secondary characters, and wraps it all up with hockey. Add in quality narration and it's a definite win.

realistic story

Finally a story where the female lead is not a size 6 or below. A size 18 is closer to reality and Keith's love and insistence that she is beautiful the way she is. The story is well told and was interesting. It follows the preceding stories perfectly.

Thoughtful take on complex issues

Ms Gayle uses her well developed hockey team backdrop to once again offer a window into the impact of widespread unexamined problems on people's lives.

Some authors base their story on "the big misunderstanding", which often feels horribly artificial. Ms Gayle works with "life often happens this way". This time it's obesity and a smattering of same gender attraction.

A warm story that makes you think a little bit. If you like the series, you will REALY like this one. But Bk 6 is not a good place to start the series. (I would recommend Bk 2.)

Great story... But the narrator

This is a very good story. But it was so hard to finish it... Gage voice the narrayor came up with was attocious!! Really annoying... This first time Gage spoke I thought WTF... Literally... I even took off my headphones... Just horrible and hard to get over the nasaly voice... I will NOT be listening to any of the fight club series since they have the same narrator as this one. The books should be done over by a diff narrator cuz im sure she is hurting the author's sales. PLEASE make sure you sample before buying... Im doing that from here on out... I learned today...

This book surprised me!

This book grew on me... A lil slow to start but got really good and you understood the characters. I caught myself yelling at the radio a few times haha. I LOVE Thor and Gage. Can't wait to read more of the series.

Ready for More Please!

I'm so looking forward to listening to the next book in this series. I commute and don't have time to read it myself so I have to wait for the audio version. I loved these characters, especially Pea! Plus this book ends on a bit of a cliff hanger so I'm dying here!

Jettie Woodruff is a new author for me and this is my first book by her but most certainly not my last. I am absolutely taken by surprise at this very intricate and multifaceted story that Jettie has written.

Throughout the book you are Quentin Tarantino'd forward and back gaining more and more knowledge of how this young girl, Mikki, came to be on the run with a very sweet little girl nicknamed Pea.

Not only is it a very steamy romance, it is also the story of familial connection, lies, deceit, unconditional love, affairs, jealousy, mystery... I mean what else could Jettie have possibly packed into such a fantastic book? And even with all these layers, it is very easy to follow and so intriguing that you can't possibly put it down.

I love books about strong female leads and Mikki is one of the toughest. From the hand she was dealt before she was even born, she had the deck stacked against her yet her sheer determination and her undying love for this little Pea, makes her one tough broad. I loved Mikki.

And Blake. Oh, Blake. It wouldn't be fair to write much about Blake because he is part of the mystery and going into this book blind is the way it should be done.

I'm off to read book 2. I can't possibly let this parade end yet.

Fantastic character driven story

My first read by this author. I'm not sure why I waited so long to read her. It was a great story. Character driven, and the characters were driven by their past.

Whenever You Come Around by Robin Lee Hatcher -- Loved, loved this book! Beautiful story with believable hero/heroine. The other reviewers have covered what I would have said but I wanted to add my 5 stars to this book/author. No sex, thank you very much. Delightful romance with good balance of romantic tension. Excellent message about forgiving oneself. Not "preachy."

Whenever You Come Around by Robin Lee Hatcher

I have not read one book by Robin Lee Hatcher that I didn't enjoy. She is excellent, and deals with many things that stand in the way of happiness. It is amazing and perceptive, especially in Whenever You Come Around.

Here we have a girl returning to her roots in the country, but happily living in the city. She meets a country guy whom she's known long ago, and who loves living where he is. She never wants to get married and neither does he. A potential for life changing events, or not!

Buck is a confirmed outdoorsman, rancher and trail blazer. Our city gal loves going out, partying, and theatres. How and what causes hearts to change, is what makes this book exceptional! Read on, as I did. You'll be glad you did! Blessings!

A Fantastic Book...

Kept me interested from page one!! Another hit....just love her books! Great read for anyone who needs to know God loves us no matter what we've done! He forgives, we just need to ask!! Thank you Robin for another fantastic book!

LOVED it!!

It's so difficult to handle serious medical conditions, especially when they involve children. But Jesse did this was an amazing insight into the situation, dealing with the child, the mother and the surrounding adults. I really enjoyed this story, as well as the novella that was released prior to this. I'm not one for making long reviews or delving into everything that happens in a story, but I will tell you I'm ordering the next book as soon as it's available. I've loved this author's other works under different pen names and can't wait to read more from her. I'd love to visit one of these dude ranches and Wyoming, just from the author's descriptions. I simply adore Shelby, the heroine, as she doesn't get bogged down and cause stupid problems. She addresses them head-on. Her strength and love for her daughter Lizzie was wonderful, yet she had understandable issues she needed to deal with for herself. Can't wait for the next one in this series!

Excellent first book

I rarely write reviews, usually it's already been said. But I loved this book! Sexy without being 'in your face' graphic, no gratuitous curse words in every other sentence, and just plain lovely. What I enjoyed most tho, was the honesty between the characters. No one had a hidden agenda, conflict was quickly resolved, and everybody is (mostly) likeable. Shelby has issues, as does Foster, but there is no 'poor me I have it so hard' garbage. They actually talk about why they feel the way they do, Shelby more so than Foster obviously, but he's a man! It was just so nice to read a book with depth, good conversations, genuine people. I can't wait to read the next one, I have just ordered it.

So, if you haven't read her books yet, give Jesse Hayworth a chance. You won't be disappointed. This one is on my keeper shelf.

Oh wow

I so loved this book!! Great storyline, wonderful characters and sweet romance. Foster is a tough looking cowboy but a sweetheart underneath and Shelby is a tough mama bear trying to help her child. Falling in love was never the plan but....

Highly highly recommended.

Heartwarming, Romantic, And There Are Horses...

I'm starting 2015 with a bit of a book slump... So many things that I want to read that I didn't know really where to start. So I picked something I knew would be quick and I would be guaranteed to love - a Cosmo hot read. Erin did not disappoint!

Great quick read! A semi feisty h and an amazing H. This story brings just the right amount of romance.

Liam and Sam are so perfect for each other

Liam and Sam are so perfect for each other. I loved the spicy heat between them. What started out has a coach to get him to train ended with much more. But does it last when his visa is up?

Awesome, well written book as always.
