    4.5 The Hero Stars
Well Ill be! This book was not what I was expected yet what I needed.
Rawley who we meet in the previous books was only one half of the hero of this book. Spencer was the second for me. He comes and save the football team when they needed it most but he also helps save Devon just as much as Rawley did.
I am loving this series, its a little like Virgin River but its also its own charm. I dont think I was ready for that. Too like it almost as much as I like Virgin River.
Devon and her daughter have been through the ringer and if you think about it so has Spencer and his son. I think I like that they needed each other. I do wish we had more interaction with Austin Spencers son especially when his dad starts dating. I kind of want to know how he felt.
Again gushing here about Therese Plummer she is amazing again bringing each person a voice. I just love her work.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
Robyn Carr continues to Awe inspire me.
Would you consider the audio edition of The Hero to be better than the print version?
with audio you get the emotions that come with closing your eyes and seeing it played out. Sometimes I just love to read, and others, I just love to listen and put myself right inside the book.
What other book might you compare The Hero to and why?
Robyn has a way of writing the Thunder Point series like her Virgin River series. But I got to say, I dearly love Thunder Point with each book she writes this series gets better.
What about Therese Plummers performance did you like?
Ms. Plummer is one of my two fav's when listening to books. As a female. She can do all the voices and you have no problem of understand who she is while talking. She is Amazing and I dearly love to listen her.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, I did, laugh and cry. I think so far is my fav of the books in the Thunder Point series.
    Any additional comments?
First let me say this. This is not erotica. I started out reading Robyn Carr's books years ago. Of course it's still a little hard to go back to just fiction book, expect when it's Robyn's Thunder Point series. You have suspense, drama, clean romance, all the sweetness of dear friends that look after one another. I dearly love her books. . But with this book, I didn't leave it all day. Yep, never let go. And it's like that with her books. This book starts out dark, unsure of what is to come. If you want to read this book, I suggest you please read her other Thunder Point books. The Wanderer, The Newcomer, and The Hero. this one I just read. They will make more sense of understanding the closeness of this small Oregon town. A town that adores the beaches and each other and how they let no one down when they need a helping hand.

    Best of Three
I just loved this book have read the other two and enjoyed them very much however the narrater was just so good in this book it was my favourite.
Her english accent for Gwen was brilliant as were her voices for the men. One of the best narraters of many books I have purchased.
I love the way Catherine had enough of the characters in each book to feel you knew them it worked just so perfectly.
The storyline was a bit deeper than usual chick lit I had trouble putting it down
just an interesting Weekday Brides set.
I have never read Catherine Bybee prior to reading these three books but will be looking out for any more of her books. She writes a very good light book do hope there are more to come.
    Awesome author and narrator..
    Any additional comments?
Wonderful book! Loved Neil and Gwen, and Rick was great too. Loved seeing Samantha, Jessi, Karen, Blake and Carter again. Loved the relationship between Karen and Michael. And I couldn't have asked for a better narrator.
    More research required
This choppy story demonstrated the author's shallow knowledge of military life. Her mistakes are painful.
This series is entertaining & captivating!
This is a very good read. can be read alone or in order. It Is solid all by itself.
Another great book in a even better series.
This was yet another great installment in the series. I really enjoyed the suspense in the novel and the only thing I struggled with was stopping. This was a great book with good narration.

The runaway New York Times and USA Today best-seller!
    Virginity.
Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible - a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half a brain would ever believe.
And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theater professor.
She'd left him naked in her bed about eight hours earlier....
    Members Reviews:
My first read of Cora's and I love it!
What made the experience of listening to Losing It the most enjoyable?
A lot of the characters emotions are real, or at least as real as they could be if i pictured myself in the situation. In some books, the characters have no sense of self preservation and just dive into whatever the situation is, but in this book Bliss is very realistic and careful when it comes to her decisions. Sometimes.
What did you like best about this story?
I have a love for the theatre and for Broadway so I love how they were incorporated into the book. In a lot of 'New Adult' books the romance can be kind of cheesy and dramatic, nothing like people say in the real world, but Cora kept it classy and the love scenes didn't make me balk at the stuff that was said. It was romantic and sexy without venturing off into crude as some new adult books do.
Which character as performed by Phoebe Strole was your favorite?
I loved Bliss, she is sure of herself and is still an independent woman. She has reservations about her relationship with Garrick, and rightly so.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Sometimes one night just isn't enough..
    Any additional comments?
I met Cora at Apollycon 2016 and she was such a down to earth person. I knew when we talked and joked about Harry Potter that I would take a liking to her books! I bought her other book in this series 'Faking it', but wanted to read this one first. I'm glad I did. Cora's writing is done so well. She is classy, and funny while still managing to keep the romance going. I really enjoyed myself. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a contemporary love story!
    very sweet
I enjoyed this story it was very sweet and had great development. THE Audio portion was decent except for the last chapter from the male perspective - I thought it was horrible. The reader spoke way too fast, I felt nothing from the story, instead concentrated on his super fast delivery.
Entertaining but maybe just a little too cute
This held promise for a great book and the story line had so much potential.... It was good, but fell way short of great - just a little too young adult and a little too school girlish.....
The narration was very good -- Bliss as herself and the Brit accent for Garrick was also very good.
The story as is would make for a better movie than a book.
Faking It - the next in the series - got much better reviews...but reluctant to use the credit given the lukewarm experience of this audiobook......
    Feel good book
    Any additional comments?
Just good book with a happy ending. Not much more I can add to it.

    Has potential but disappointing...
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The characters were interesting but there were too many of them. Given the length of the book versus the wide cast of characters, every story line was shallow. Several characters also meant several backstories. It was frustrating because their past and present lives were interesting, but you didn't get enough of each story. I was drawn in by the initial mystery at the beginning of the book, but attention was not brought back to it until close to the end. In between there are multiple love stories and stories in general.
What could Robyn Carr have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
It would have been nice to have a little more suspense and deeper story lines.
Have you listened to any of Therese Plummers other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my first time listening to Therese Plummer. I thought she did an outstanding job considering she was the voice of so many characters.
Did The Wanderer inspire you to do anything?
I was not inspired at all. It was just an interesting story.
    Any additional comments?
The summary of this book is misleading. I was looking forward to the story of Cooper and Sarah, but this book closely follows the lives of many other people in town. It may be good for the summary to include that.
    Just Right!
This light romance was just right-right length, right reader, right story line and right amount of sappyness to pull me and make me like the characters.
    Re-Learning Trust
What did you like best about The Wanderer? What did you like least?
The Wander was a gentle novel. There was no violence in the true sense of the word. The characters all went well together. The novel was a relief from abhorrent violence. The novel was an easy listen. Good for the beach. Romance novels aren't my genre but since I've listened to this one, when I need a break from an edgy novel, I just may try another one.I would have to say what I liked least was the narration. The voices were not distinct enough to separate the characters. The narrator was not very good doing male voices. Although, in truth, it wasn't so awful that I was able to finish the book.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
    The ending was predictable.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Therese Plummer?
Actually, the list of narrator's that I have compiled as my favorites do not include any females. I'll have to rectify that error.
What would have made this romance irresistible?
Irresistible I think may be too strong a word.

    An emotional journey...
I must say I judged this book by the cover. I actually thought that this was a dark erotica story. Well no, it's one of the best and sweetest love stories I've listened to. And what an amazing hero Braden is! It's going to be difficult to find another book with such a perfect man. He was totally smitten and I loved him for that. This story made me smile, laugh, cry and basically made me feel every emotion possible. And not only do you get an amazing main love story, you get a secondary one as well that was equally good and intense.
Narration: This is my first listen by Paula Costello and apparently it's her first narration. Well I could have never guessed that. She's good! Considering she was able to portray american, british and scotish accents so well and at the same time make the story come to life so vividly.. I'd say she's very very good.
I really liked this story and would definitely listen to another book by this author and/or narrator.
    Great sex AND great story!!
This book caught me in the first 30 minutes! It has a great story full of challenges and fulfillment. The sex is also amazing! I was enthralled and listened in practically one shebang, or at least every free minute I had. It's been a long time since I found a book that really satisfied me in the romance and story areas but this one stuck every need! Definitely worth a credit!
    Pleasant Surprise
I had read on many book blogs that On Dublin Street was one of the best romance books of 2012 and I have to agree. The storyline and characters are great. It has humor, romance and sadness as you watch Joss struggle with several issues. The narration was great too. I really enjoyed it!
    Very happily surprised.....
Of course I'm an addictied fan of Fifty; so I'm very quick to point out copy-kats. This book of course does follow the usual path of broken and trying to be in-love.
However, I'm not sure if it was the clever writing or the fabulous narrator that had me glued to it? Either way; I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next.........
PS - Narrator did an incredible Scottish Male accent that almost made me start smoking ..... HELLLLOOOOOO!!!
    I THOUGHT 1587 LISTENERS CAN'T BE WRONG...
... and guess what? they weren't - this IS a 5* listen and I too was mesmerized by the slow build-up, the emotional issues, the depth to the characters, the unwavering chemistry between Jocelyn and Braden, the sex scenes and all the debilitating drama that unfurls along the way.

So when the town's most devoted wife takes buckshot to her husband and some human bones turn up in her aunt Myrna's backyard, she's almost happy for the distraction.

    Robyn Carr Does It Again!
This is the 2nd book in the Grace Valley Trilogy. It was just as good as the 1st. Therese Plummer as always, was amazing! This story has a lot of things going on around the town at one time. I wish that instead of squeezing everything into 3 books that she could have drawn it out a little more. I LOVE the Virgin River Series and this Trilogy is just like it with different people. Definitely worth the credit, especially if you like Virgin River!
    Story of the heart
Robyn Carr's delightful story of Grace Valley has kept me from all other duties wanting to know how it all pans out. Just like her Virgin River series I found myself willing things to happen that i suspected would happen but needed the detail filled in to get there. I have enjoyed listening and Therese Plummer's voice makes me feel like I'm there watching the story unfold.
    Love this!
As usual Robyn Carr has written a great book. Therese Plummer did it justice. All in all, I recommend this for a warm heart felt book.
Small Towns Were Never More Exciting
What did you love best about Just Over the Mountain?
The way the story showed some of the underlying life stories that go on in a small town without the majority knowing.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lee for the way he kept in touch with the doctor even when whe had no idea he would call
Have you listened to any of Therese Plummers other performances before? How does this one compare?
I honestly love the performances of Therese Plummer with her precise enunciation and her arsonal of voices.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The story made me laugh almost all the way through.
    Great Second Book
If you could sum up Just Over the Mountain in three words, what would they be?
This book continues where the first book left off. I felt like I had been gone for a little vacation but the people of Grace Valley were still there waiting to pick right back up.
What about Therese Plummers performance did you like?
I love everything about the narrator. Easy to listen to and enjoyable voice.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. I want to stretch it out so I can enjoy it longer.
    Any additional comments?
I needed the second book. There are a lot of characters introduced in the first book.

    What a Treat
Ok, this story really rocked me, and I don't know if it was the fantastic telling of the story, or the characters in the story or that sexy, mouth watering, heat in your pants Phil Gigante narrating, needless to say I listened to this story twice.
Cane Kirk is a Veteran, who has lost part of his arm, and has been rejected by a couple of females because they "didn't want to get involved with a cripple." This has made him surly, rude, and angry. He frequently ties one and goes on a rampage and the only one who he responds to is Bodie. Well Bodie has issues of her own and when she asks Cane for monetary help he takes it wrong, and goes off on her, leading her to do the only thing she can to save her family.
Don't miss out on this one it was really good, and especially with Phil narrating and Natalie Ross producing. This is one hot couple that can really tell a tale. This two did the last 3 books in the Fever series, by Karen Moning. They really bought the books alive.
Tormented hero finds love despite angry attitude
Would you consider the audio edition of Wyoming Fierce to be better than the print version?
Have not read the book so I can not compare. Long book so easier than holding in hand for many hours.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the interaction of all the characters in this book. Explosive many times between Cane and Bodie's characters though there was tenderness of course. Lots and lots of misunderstanding. Cane is so hard headed and angry most of the time that he causes a lot of pain to those who care about him. Bodie really deserves better from him but in the end of course it does work out.
Which character as performed by Phil Gigante was your favorite?
I would say Cane as he does his anger and confusion so well. I also enjoy the performance of his brothers.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
More than one actually and would be hard to pick which one made the most impression on me. What happens when she does the only thing she thinks she can to save her home from her stepfather (real creep) is intense and moving. Cane of course manages to make a mess of this as well as other times he misreads what is going on around him. Stubborn, stubborn man.
    Any additional comments?
Read or listen to the book. It is good and worth the time or credit.
Could not put this one down, It's a Hit with me.
I have recently started to love Diana Palmer's books. I love her strong male characters with a few flaws to make them more realistic.

    Badly read Porn!!!!!
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Shana Savage might be ok for a narration part of the story but she cannot do character voices and if they had found a better narrator it might have succeeded in being an ok Porn listen then.
Would you ever listen to anything by Sylvia Day again?
I don't know, probably not in this series again. I thought this was going to be a fantasy book and it ended up being a porn book.
How could the performance have been better?
Get a new narrator. Sorry Shana but you cannot do character voices. It's like listening to fingernails run down a chalkboard.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Pleasures of the Night?
I don't know about particular scenes but I would've toned down the graphical porn a bit. The story could have been good if it didn't have so much porn in it.
    Any additional comments?
This is one of the first reviews I have done, because usually if the book is good there are plenty of people to tell about it being good, However, I had to warn people about this book. More story, Less Porn, and new narrator.
Disappointing, Should Have Believed the Reviews
This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I very much like Sylvia Day's first Crossfire book and thought the concept of this book would provide a somewhat (rated it 3 stars) interesting and fresh paranormal twist. I really can't say who would enjoy the audio book (see comments below). But fans of Day who also enjoy paranormal might want to READ the book, but I cannot recommend the audio.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I didn't finish the story, the narration was so annoying, I really can't comment on changes that could improve the story.

Souls Too Tortured for My Taste
I get angst. I get emotional conflict. I can even almost get that there are more than four people on earth under the age of 40 that are obsessed with Dante's Divine Comedy.
What I don't get is how a book can be written with such stilted, unnatural and totally unrealistic dialog. Nobody talks this way.
I also don't get how the reader is supposed to relate to such caricatures of real people. The hero's amoral past sounds awfully tame compared to the typical 20 something single guy. Certainly not a past that should cripple a man. And in spite of evidently being a sex and coke addict and a drunk he manages to get his doctorate degree and become a noted expert and sought after speaker on the subject of Dante.
And the heroine has so little backbone it is a wonder she is able to stand. She comes across as such a nonentity I don't know how anyone would ever even notice her enough to fall in love with her. If I were her friend I would constantly find myself slapping her and saying "Snap Out of It, for Christ's sake and grow some ..."
The Vermont farmboy/scholar who secretly loves the heroine from afar would be an even worse love interest than the hero. He is too good, too sympathetic, too understanding and too dull to pay any attention to.
And finally the premise is just plain silly. She goes to school in Toronto to see the man she has sworn to love forever and when he doesn't remember her she is either too shy or too stupid to remind him of who she is. Although the part about him not remembering her was totally believable. She isn't worth remembering.
This book is overflowing with unbelievable characters and premises that are so chock full of angst-ridden emotion and so sacchariny sweet my teeth hurt.
The only good thing I can say is the two main characters deserve each other. They can go off and bore each other silly for the rest of their lives, emoting endlessly yet saying nothing. I just wish they would put the rest of us out of their misery.
And I am really, really, really tired of all of this lower lip biting heroines seem to be doing lately. It is over done.
    Good story, worth the credit
I enjoyed this book. Sometimes I grow impatient with timid characters like Julia. She cowered and trembled a few too many pages for my taste; but still, I remained in her corner throughout the story. Plenty of angst and tortured souls.

Handsome rancher's new ranch hand hides a surprise
What did you love best about Wyoming Tough?
I enjoyed the ins and outs of everyday ranch work as described in the book as I grew up around cowboys and ranch hands myself. There is a good storyline here and Mallory Kirk is a very strong character. Surprised however that he was so easily fooled by the rag girlfriend who could not leave quick enough for me. Morie Brannt is a very strong heroine in this story. Gives as good as she gets though she is still vulnerable to her feelings for him. She of course, is hiding things from him as all heroines seem to do. Lots of good support characters who I am sure will get books or make appearances in later books.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Wyoming Tough?
The scene at her father's ranch when Mallory is finally presented with the truth. Hard for a strong man like him to face all his mistakes in front of all those people. He is a good man after all.
    Which scene was your favorite?
I had many that I enjoyed and can't decide on any one over the other that I would listen to over and over. There are many funny and sad moments in the story that bear hearing again.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Not good at tag lines so will not try here.
    Any additional comments?
I like the way Phil does all the male characters. He does suttle accents very well and does a very good drawl. I like to be able to tell a character is older and he does that well too. I do wish that his women's voices were better. They are more times than not too high pitched and more annoying than sensual. Love scenes can be tough indeed when the woman sounds like that. Hopefully that will improve one day because he is really a very good narrator.
    Great Start
This book is the start of a great trilogy. Very well written and beautifully romantic. Can't wait till the whole series gets out.
    HO hum~ Another Heroine with a SECRET~ 3 STARS
PLOT: rich Mallory Kane notices the new hired hand lovely Morie~
Standard wealthy Palmer heroine who gets her first JOB on Mallory Kanes Cattle Ranch. Morrie is lovely and innocent and is very attracted to sexy boss Mallory but at his side is Gaeli his nasty lady friend who lets NO one stand in her way. Typical Palmer fare but she has lost the abusive HERO thank God~ this one drags a bit going over and over characters from her previous books. Morie finally is fired after Gaeli plants evidance she stole. and the Hero finally has his eyes opened ~ WE need more passion here Diana and less going endlessly how inept Morie is.
