1st book was Fantastic, this one is Better!

Would you listen to Sophie Quire and the Last Storyguard again? Why?

Yes, because it is faced paced and there are loads of magical (and other different) characters and animals. Sophie is endearing and strong willed, or purpose driven, in the delightful way that many little girls are of today. Peter and Mr. Toad are at their best, and we learn more back story to the professor (and much is also revealed in the books of Who What When & Where). During Perter & Sophie's journey they learn to work together, appreciate each other and those around them, teach the value of kindness and friendship and forgiveness. Highly recommend this book for all ages.

Magnificent.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed Peter Nimble and were excited to listen to Sophie Quire. In the beginning we were thrown a bit off-balance by the shift of focus from Peter to the new character Sophie, but quite soon we fell in love with Sophie's story. This tale is beautifully told and we were so sad to say goodbye at the end of the book. The Audible production was excellent and the narration complimented the story perfectly. We hope another Peter Nimble story finds its way into the world before too long. In the meantime, these are two stories I am sure we will find ourselves listening to again and again.

Road Trip

We listened to this on a road trip. What we didn't expect is how enthralled we became with the story and characters.

The writing is beautiful and drew our imaginations into the story.

Our 12 year old gives this 5 stars and says this is a great book. We enjoyed the opportunity to share a book like this one where the entire family could track and enjoy.

Sweet story ...

But it makes me sad that all three boys had to depend so heavily, emotionally, on their teacher instead of getting the support they needed from their parents. This book would probably be too sad for my 10 year-old to listen to and he would get very mad at the parents in the story.

A great story!

I listened to this with my 10 year old daughter. My husband and I are both teachers and there was so much to this story to chuckle at and appreciate in regards to "life in school", both from the perspective of being an adult, and from the perspective of being a student. We've all had a favorite teacher or two (I hope!), and the way we feel about them is very special. This story was funny, inspiring, and tugs at your heartstrings. My daughter and I both loved it. We also loved hearing the voices and perspectives of all three boys. It was a great way to tell the story.

Suitable action/adventure for me and my 7YO

We really enjoyed the Prince Warriors while driving across the Southeastern US. We will listen to the next one on the way home. Was exciting but not so scary my kiddo couldn't handle the tension... and it provided some nice discussions around faith, obedience, and revisiting some of our Bible stories. Well done!

Christian storytelling in the vein of Lewis

This story is a true Christ-centered alternative to HPotter. Updated version of Narnia/Middle Earth styles

Great listening

I love the way the story continues from the other books. the reading is great also.

Lend me your ears!

This is a terrific series and I can hardly wait to bring number four up so I can once again lose myself in the plot, action, romance, and colorful characters so wonderfully woven together in the three preceding books. Author Nicole Conway has blended all facets together so the action is not the main stay of the book but rather another aspect of a well rounded book where all segments combine. By now the characters are well defined and move the plot along briskly to the last line of the book which leaves us scrambling for #4. (I really resent the never ending series when there are months of delay between the books and you have to relisten to the last of the previous book to remind you why you wanted to spend a credit on this one!) I wasn't pleased with narrator Einstein in the first book. To me he came out as being 'a little over the top' in the first book but he's relaxed and allowed the natural cadence and emotion of the book power his reading. Much better now. I won't let his name on the credits deter any future purchase. Speaking of which, I'll be downloading the fourth book as soon as I send this off.

Best Series I've read in a Long Time!

What made the experience of listening to Traitor the most enjoyable?

Have a narrator that reads well and brings the character to life. AND having the same narrator that's read for the previous books in the series, which keeps me grounded to the character.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Duh, Jaevid, of course! Totally in love with him by this point because of his struggles being a half breed. Yet, he's wound up being a top notch dragon rider and even got a great girl by his side. And what's not to love about the magic he's discovered within him and how to control it?

Which character as performed by Jesse Einstein was your favorite?

Um, I feel this is virtually the same question as above. And the answer is still Jaevid! Jesse has done all the books and I seriously can't imagine another voice being attached to the character now. I could hear the emotion in his voice when he read.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were so many moments, it's hard to pick just one.

Fun for the Entire Family

Reading the book with my 8 year old, we read a chapter listen to the chapter, read listen and so on (really helps with fluency) I found myself enjoying it so much I went ahead and finished both the book and audio! And still engaged going through it with my kid! Great book, great reading, really well done.

Engaging plot not just for kids!

This book brings you right in from the very beginning. Somehow an under world becomes believable and your mind starts to imagine what if and then another world comes into view! Don't leave the excitement for the kids, adults will thoroughly enjoy this book also. And teachers I understand from the author's blog there are lesson plans to go along with this book!

And once again I love Emma Galvin's work. I highly recommend this book!

This was a fun story with interesting twists and turns. The reader was ok but she had very little idea of how to properly inflect her voice so the story had a strange rhythm to it.

Sweet and simple

When I first started listening I thought this was a children's book, but the more I heard, the more I liked it. With plenty of faith and hope, the heroine sets out to restore her family's fortunes and stay in her happy place. This is like an Enid Blyton book, just a good old fashioned tale with a little philosophy thrown in for good measure. A nice, easy listen.

What a beautiful voice!

My son and I were enchanted by this endearing, magical tale. The narrator's voice is beautiful. She makes the book come alive!

Extraordinary story

This wonderful tale engulfed a young girl and family members dealing with lost and looking for treasures. Amazing how Narrator was able to weave the magic of the author's story.. Grief of children's lost, possible loss of a town's culture by a developer. Children looking for a treasure to save the town , the cafe and the cemetery. All of this through a child's point of view.

I recommend this book/ audible book for all ages. I am 66 year-old and I love it.
