Their classmate, Seth Diller, has taken his love of filmmaking a bit too far. But shortly after Frank and Joe confront Seth, there are fresh outbreaks of Seth-like pranks. Except these aren't as harmless. After a bit of investigating, the Hardy Boys uncover evidence of the Red Arrow - a group that will stop at nothing to bring chaos and crime to Bayport's peaceful existence.

    Good clean reading
This book was interesting and funny. The Hardy boys do not stop, mysteries need solving.
    Best book ever
I love this book it is the best me and my brother love it we get no sleep cuz were up all night listening to it
Not the Hardy Boys you remember
Missing ALL of those classic Hardy Boy characteristics..... No jalopies, no gang of friends, and very little cleverness
    still worth reading
the mystery is ok. I like the original that I grew up reading better
    Modern v ration of hardyboys
Not a good choice for my 7 year old who loves the classic Hardy Boys stories. We didn't finish the book because of certain components that I didn't feel were appropriate for him.

    Publisher's Summary:
Teddy Fitzroy returns as FunJungle's resident zoo sleuth when a rhinoceros is at risk in Big Game, a companion to Belly Up and Poached - which Kirkus Reviews called a "thrill-ride of a mystery".
When someone takes aim at Rhonda Rhino, FunJungle's pregnant (and endangered) Asian greater one-horned rhinoceros, the zoo steps up security measures in order to protect this rare animal and her baby.
But the extra security isn't enough - someone is still getting too close for comfort. Teddy and company start to suspect that whoever is after Rhonda is really after her horn, which is worth a lot of money on the black market.
For the first time ever, the head of the zoo enlists Teddy for help - for once, he doesn't have to sneak around in order to investigate - and the results are even more wacky, and even more dangerous, than ever before.

    Title: The Hollow Boy
Subtitle: Lockwood & Co., Book 3
    Author: Jonathan Stroud
    Narrator: Emily Bevan
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 11 hrs and 55 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 09-15-15
    Publisher: Listening Library
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 536 votes
    Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10
    Publisher's Summary:
As a massive outbreak of supernatural visitors baffles Scotland Yard and causes protests throughout London, Lockwood & Co. continue to demonstrate their effectiveness in exterminating spirits. Anthony Lockwood is dashing, George insightful, and Lucy dynamic, while the skull in the jar utters sardonic advice from the sidelines. There is a new spirit of openness in the team now that Lockwood has shared some of his childhood secrets, and Lucy is feeling more and more as if her true home is at Portland Row. It comes as a great shock, then, when Lockwood and George introduce her to an annoyingly perky and hyperefficient new assistant, Holly Munro.
Meanwhile, there are reports of many new hauntings, including a house where bloody footprints are appearing and a department store full of strange sounds and shadowy figures. But ghosts seem to be the least of Lockwood & Co.'s concerns when assassins attack during a carnival in the center of the city. Can the team get past their personal issues to save the day on all fronts, or will bad feelings attract yet more trouble?
Danger abounds, tensions escalate, and new loyalties form in this third delightfully terrifying adventure in the critically acclaimed Lockwood & Co. series.

    Right in line
This was right in line with the quality of the previous two. Not sure why each book has had a different reader. This reader is quite a bit different than the first two, but once you get used to her, there's lots to like. And the book, really, is the star. Creepy, compelling, completely annoyed that I can't read the next one yet. J.S. is going to throw us all for a loop, I think. I hope it's a nice, long series.
    performance is utterly awful
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The story is excellent but the reader is awful. She gives the character these awful voices which undermines the story. I listened to the first two books in the Lockwood & Co series which expertly and masterfully read. The first two books were absolutely wonderful and i was really looking forward to this third book. However, ms. Bevan gives strange voices to all the characters: she makes Lockwood sounds like an low class idiot, George a moron, Lucy an overly emotional immature and indecisive nitwit, and she gives the skull a shreiking and whiny voice which is simply annoying. I would love to listen to this story read by one of the two readers of the first and second book. Ms. Bevan's performance undermined the story such that it looses all the mystery and suspense of a good suspense thriller and ghost story. Such a shame for the author and the audience because the story is really quite good. I remain a fan of Jonathon Stroud's work but reccomend that for book No3 in the Lockwood &Co series read it yourself.
What other book might you compare The Hollow Boy to and why?
the story is very good and compares to the first two books (which are really expertly read) but i couldn't get past the reader's abysmal performance.
Would you be willing to try another one of Emily Bevans performances?
Never- her performance ruined the story.

On the brink of war, the fates of both Artimé and Quill are at stake in book six of the New York Times best-selling Unwanteds series, which Kirkus Reviews called "The Hunger Games meets Harry Potter."
Alex and Aaron Stowe are at a crossroads.
Everything Aaron has worked so hard to build in Quill has crumbled. Fallen from the height of power and influence and left for dead in a foreign place, Aaron has lost everything, and now he must humbly beg for food from those who saved his life.
In Artimé, Alex chooses his people over his brother and abandons his search for Aaron, closing the door on that relationship forever. The Artimeans need his focus now more than ever as they face the terrifying power of a new enemy who has taken control of Quill - the notoriously evil Gondoleery Rattrapp.
Desperate to stop her, Alex embarks on a risky mission to enlist help from an unlikely ally, and along the way he's determined to rescue a lone sailor from monstrous beasts with mysterious origins - a sailor who just might show Alex a different world. As he prepares for an epic war with all of Quill and Artime hanging in the balance, Alex must place his faith in a reckless plan...and hope that he and all of his friends make it through alive.

Rise of the best book so far!
i will amid this: E.G. Foley is officially my favorite author right now. Rise of Allies: The Gryphon Chronicles, Book 4 proves that in so many ways. 1: I was so happy to read this. 2: I read it 3 times already 3: I always find it so hard to writhe about the books from E.G. Foley because i love is so much. And 4: I love the next book more then the last all the time, and if i could i would give this book 6 out of 5. I am so happy about this book, and you should read this too.

Narration - Jamie du Pont MacKenzie, Wonderful as usual.
I think this may be my favorite of this series.
The gang has to go through their magical assessments, meet the queen, deal with their own insecurities and jealousies as they witness the skills of their peers and we learn more about life for and requirements of light riders and guardians.
Two more talented youngsters join Jake and company for a magical and dangerous adventure as they travel through paintings, deal with a part troll boy, a dangerous vampire, some stinky little mischief makers and we get to spend more time with an old eight legged friend.
Such a great series, geared towards kids but is also terrifically fun for adults!

    Giggles, gasps, and new adventures!
The Gryphon Chronicles have another adventure, and this one is longer! Jake, Dani, Archie, and Izzy are back with old friends and make new ones as well. And more frightening enemies. Jake suffers the anticipation and trials of the tests known as the Assessment, hoping that he will pass muster to be considered for a Lightrider like hos parents were. There are many new adventures and his friends also learn more about themselves. While written for younger readers, the kinds of growth and self-awareness depicted are applicable to most of us.

    I feel let down...
What disappointed you about Because You'll Never Meet Me?
On its face, I wanted to like this book. It had an interesting plot summary, with unique introspective characters... but Kirby Heyborne's "German" accent was affected and stilted and came and went... and the depiction of a blind character who can navigate solely with echolocation and have never learned to read braille just didn't do it for me.
I am a person who is blind, so I know most of the general tools in the toolbox of someone who can't see. Sure, denial is part of coming to grips with one's life circumstances, but this kid fooled everyone... really?
By the time I stopped reading this book, sci-fi elements had started to enter the plot, but by that point the blind-person stereotypes had already been written on the page for 3 hours and I couldn't take it anymore.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Kirby Heyborne and Eric Michael Summerer ?
Eric Michael Summerer was terrific; Kirby Heyborne has always been hit or miss.
    Any additional comments?
This book had SUCH promise... it really did. Even as I KNEW to some degree what I was getting in to from blind friends who've read it, I couldn't slog through the worst stereotypes about blind people, that make us look more socially awkward and more comic-book hero than we really are.
If you treat this like a sci-fi novel from the get-go - granted, one with terrific insights about denial, isolation, and friendship - it's worth the read. But I feel like I was expecting a friendship story that happened to include a blind character. Clearly, the author went with the sci-fi angle, did NO research about blind peoples' capabilities, and tried to suck in readers with a general-market fiction novel.
    Amazing!
I absolutely loved it, it was heart warming. The characters took my breathe away and the story was out standing.
Perfect book for the audiobook medium
Because Youll Never Meet Me by Leah Thomas is a young adult contemporary novel and tells of the pen friendship between two isolated young men, Moritz from Germany and Ollie who lives in the US. Each of the two young men has a physical ailment which limits their interaction with mainstream society. These same limitations for Ollie an severe reaction to electricity and for Moritz a heart defect requiring an electronic pacemaker precludes their ever meeting face to face. Their friendship develops through the letters they write to each other. The novel is written in the style of letters exchanged between the two.
I loved this book, which I listened to in audiobook format.
    What I liked
The characters. I adored both Ollie and Moritz and was emotionally invested in their journeys. I was really rooting for them both.

    Another stellar book
Grisham has done it again with a great story geared for youth and yet interesting enough to capture the attention of his adult readers.
Discussing real life situations and legal matters in a way young people would understand, the story is also highly captivating and entertaining.
Recommended for the legal beagle in every family, perfect for vacation or travel reading!
    EThe Fugitive
John Grisham has done it again! An excellent book. Very interesting and captivating, kept my attention all the time and that is not easy to do.
A good continuation of a great story. SPOILER ALERT
Book was well written and performed just as good as the others in the series.
*******SPOILER******** looking forward to the next episode in the story.
    Great Story
Great story, but the narrator should have slowed down. Much of it sounded like a continuous run-on sentence.
    Well Done!!
Theo is a great character, and after 5 episodes, I can't imagine anyone else narrating this series. It's an awesome way to introduce a young audience to courtroom drama.
