I've listened to the others in the series & really like them, but this one was hard to finish. it drug out the entire book, he wanted her but he couldn't have her. it took 10 hours of listening before they FINALLY had sex!! took way too long

Amazing story!!

WOW!! What an amazing addition to the series!! The suspense...the push and pull between Pimlico and Elder!! And...FINALLY!!! They have a real intimate evening!!! So hot and erotic!! I can't wait to experience Millions!!! Such a great story!!

Winters dark romances are so complex and engrossing. HOWEVER this book (and really the entire series) feels desperate. Her indebted series is my favorite of all time - it was so detailed with many twists and turns, and each book was as crucial as the next. This series seems like a single or duet story overstretched to fill a book quota. Its so terribly redundant that Im actually having trouble getting through it. The angst isnt the good kind - its the for gods sake get on with it kind. So sadly disappointing :(

A new Princess Diaries

I really enjoyed the story. Thought that the Narrator made Nico sound a little like Dracula but I was impressed with her abilities overall.

This is such a great story. I was really happy to see that it was finally released on Audible. I hope more titles from this author are released on Audible soon.

I have read several of the Royals of Monterra Kindle Worlds stories. Some are almost as good as Ms. Wilson's original works and I am hoping that some are released on Audible as well.

I struggled with this book!

I struggled with this book. The leading lady was so whiny and weak. The chemistry was not convincing. The story line was not convincing. I was like reading a fairytale that was not a good read. I hate to write a negative review. It could be because I just listened to Emma Chase's Royally Screwed series.

I only listened to the entire book because I an the type of person who has to finish what I've started.

Very, very sweet story

No surprises in this sweet Cinderella-esque story. Though I am typically drawn to a steamy romance, it is occasionally nice to break from the norm and listen to/read a lovely story sans sexual encounters. Christians would be comfortable with it, and be pleased, as well, with the religious aspect as it is inclusive of morals and the royal familys devotion to the church. There are a few villains, but only minor angst.

Royal Date is a heartwarming story and so very apropos for the Christmas holidays.

Surpsingly pleasant

Im not a fan of sappy romances. I was worried after reading the intro that this is what the book would be. I ended up really enjoying the book. It was a fairytale with a twist of reality. Bringing in more deep storylines made it seem less like the typical poor girl falls in love with a prince and more of an emotional story.

I have always enjoyed the Chesapeake Sores OBrien family saga. This one lacked plot resolution. It made for a very flat ending.

Only Sherryl can pull off so many great novels using this family. I can only hope for more.

Excellent story!

Loved it... the characters past & present became like friends. I was sad to say goodbye. Can't wait to buy the next book by Kimberly! And Caroline is now one of my favorite narrators!

So many memorable moments! This one is such a beautiful drama! I truly drove many an extra mile to listen in my car. It had me wrapped up in the story right from the get go & gripped my attention throughout! Fabulous!

There were many moments that moved me. Very relatable, well developed characters. I could feel their joy, despair, fear, relief - this one definitely takes you on a journey!

I've grown up in the oil business and now my husband works in it, too. So, I picked up this book to read purely out of curiosity about how the author approached this rarely used (and usually completely overblown) setting as a world. I didn't expect much so I was completely blown away about the fact that she got it right. The guys out there in the field...even the owners of the really successful service companies don't have a glamorous, sexy life...so HUGE KUDOS to Jill Sanders for getting it right!

But that's completely an aside. Let's get to the meat of this story...the romance. Kristen is in the wilds of Haven, MT to convince the brothers to sell their oil company to her bosses. They aren't interested, but her bosses don't plan to take no for an answer. She's in town for up to a month if that's what it takes. Kristen is not made for Haven, Montana. She's a city girl through and through. She likes her thousand dollar shoes and custom fit suits. She is NOT made for the real world out in the muddy, messy oil business.

So, immediately Kristen and Tyler are at cross-purposes, but that doesn't stop their sizzling chemistry. Overall this was a good book. It was a little bit slow at times, but listening to audiobook meant that worked for me, because I could walk away when I needed to do something besides listen to the book. But overall, it was very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the other brother's stories.

This is an enjoyable read. I loved the characters and the plot. The writing style is also good. Glad I found this series. Can't wait for the next one in this series.Happy reading !

OK read and barely OK narration..

OK, it took me five days to read this, where I usually read a book every day or two. This was a little boring so I stopped reading it and read two others then came back to it. And it really never got interesting until about page 228, when Kristen was knocked out and only about an hour was left of the book.

I did like all the characters: The brothers, Trent and Trey, and the mother Gail, and Trisha, Kristen's mother. I didnt like Darla or Burnett or Brian.

Lift Your Spirits!

A great listen. The narrator did a super job bringing Debbie Macomber's excellent story to life. The heroine, Merry, is very sympathetic. Her mom has serious health problems, her father is on the road a lot for his job, and she has a younger brother with a disability. Merry has taken a break from her studies and she is working temporarily at a large company. She's doing a great job but with her generous spirit and kind ways, and her need to be frugal, Merry frequently runs into issues with her boss.

This contemporary romance left me feeling very upbeat, uplifted by the positive story. It's a lot like a Hallmark movie and would make an excellent one.

This is a clean read with some mild faith elements. If you're put off by the online dating premise, don't be--the hero and heroine end up there by a few twists and Macomber has her characters realistically deal with the potential pitfalls of going that route for romance. You'll be caught up in the story before you can even say, "Merry and Bright!"

Annoying male voices

The male voices sound like 12 yr lads. They talk too fast. The story line is weak. I struggled to get to the end. Not my variety of book

Predictable but entertaining holiday story

I did not enjoy the narrator's tone and speed of reading. It seemed hurried and abrasive. The story itself is charming but predictable. It's a quick holiday themed boy meets girl story. Typical holiday romance theme that you'd see on the Hallmark channel.

Sadly predictable

I love so many Debbie Macomber books, but to my disappointment, this one was predictable from almost the beginning. It provided a level of entertainment, but it isnt as fun or capturing when it is SO predictable.

I have read this book so I knew the plot but I love to re-read with an audio book it makes it like a movie

Black Roses is one of the best contemporary romance book I have ever read. It has it love, hate, denial and best of all great endings

I highly recommend this book well worth a credit.

A wow Rose of a story

This audio is wow just WOW 5 stars .

Hero is Mason . Heroine is Piper .

The author Samantha Christy knows how to draw you in with the first paragraph. There are lots of Twists and turns . You get a glimpse of one thing and right when you think you have it figured out the story takes you on another twist .

Mason is a football star who is asked to pick up piper at the airport. Piper sister is getting married and she came back to NYC for the wedding.

The narrators were fantastic. The story draws you right in

"It's only me Sweetheart"

I read this book a little over a year ago (twice actually) and listening to it still gave me all the feels if not more! Piper and Mason's struggles with the nightmares that haunt them and their issues with trust make this story full of angst but of course, in true Samantha Christy fashion, we get our HEA!! Love the alternating POV and the epilogue

she never thought she could love so many

Black Roses by Samantha Christy first I have to say this is my first audible book and I found it very exciting to hear someone else read the story and hear the voices of other people.

piper's story was very heartbreaking to me I feel she had a rough time when she was young I also feel that it was such a wonderful love story that she could rise above what she went through.

I found Black Roses to be funny where I actually laughed out loud quite a few times I found it to where I wanted to cry sad tears and happy I thought it was funny the way Piper and Mason teased about moving to New York almost like a little game that they played.

I absolutely love the Mitchell sisters everything about these books are wonderful I recommend it to adult readers.. they're funny sexy sad sometimes a little scary but they are downright sweet love stories stories that will make you want to find a relationship just like the Mitchell sisters have all found....

Amazing !

the love story was well writen and it dealt with deap issues in a very good way. the relationship didn't seem forced and the development of the characters made you connect with them.

Ok book, good narration

I did like this book but it felt like there were too many side stories happening throughout with not enough conclusion to each one. I won't get into it too much because I don't want to spoil it but there are at least 3 major events that happen and the last one is just weird. I thought it was a strange way to end the book and it really didn't make a lot of sense to me. If felt rushed and unnecessary. I liked both the MCs but definitely enjoyed Shay WAY better.

Great weekend listen!

When I need something entertaining, but easy to listen to, I turn to Tijan.

This particular story is centered around college life, the star quarterback and the freshman scholar. As in the past books I have listened to Tijan takes the time to develop secondary characters just enough to make you interested in what happens to them. I enjoy a good low-key listen that entertains and leaves you with a good feeling when you reach the end of the story. This book fit the bill completely. I found it more than credit worthy and the performance was very well done.

perfect college romance

I really enjoyed this book! I'm a couple years out of college and I found the setting and time line to be refreshing and honest. couldn't get enough of Kennedy and Shay.

FLAWLESS COMPELLING STORYTELLING

To get the very best from this second part of Sabrina and Donovan's Duet I went back to the beginning and listened to Dirty Filthy Rich Men again (no hardship there). And I'm so glad I did.. partly to refresh, reboot and get reacquainted once again with all the players and partly to jog my mind of the many intricacies held within Laurelin Paige's epic love story. A story of intense sexual attraction, possessive obsession, masterful manipulation and raw carnal desire. A story of rich men, power and passion. A story of an innocent pawn who gets caught up in a rich man's game. And thankfully this second book has all the wonderful ingredients from book 1 plus a whole lot more.. and that, for me, makes an addictive and memorable listen.

Ten years have passed by since Sabrina, Donovan and Weston were at College - a lot has changed.. and yet nothing has changed. For me, this story was so addictive because I never knew what was coming next or where this talented author was going to lead me as I fell deeper and deeper under her spell. And slowly she reveals life-changing secrets.. shocking revelations.. heartfelt reactions.. and electrifying scenarios are masterfully unfurled as Sabrina and Donovan finally get their HEA. Their's was a push/pull volatile relationship, a two steps forward/one back game, a perfectly imperfect couple who were perfect for each other and in the end it led to a deep all-consuming passionate love. Multi-layered characters, a broken yet possessive alpha hero who loves fiercely, a strong heroine who fights for what she wants, seismic combustible chemistry, kink, heat and heart make up this hugely entertaining love story. Told from the heroine's POV and Elena Wolfe did a great job at bringing it to life.. but sadly there just wasn't enough Sebastian York.

Worth a credit? A million x YES.. I devoured it, I lived and breathed it and I couldn't put it down. It was DIRTY, it was FILTHY, he was RICH and it was an intense and epic LOVE story beautifully crafted.. so ding ding ding color me happy.

The first book is part of the romance package, if you want to finish the book you must buy the ending. I guess good in that you dont waste money on a story that doesnt hold your interest but if it do s you are trapped into buying it. Not a good look for the author or Audible.
