Fabulous book that made me cry

I am not a crier but this book made me cry three or four times. I have recently become a huge fan of this storytelling team so when I saw this book, I snatched it up without even reading what it was about; and, as with the other books Ive listened to from this trio, I finished it in one day. Although its quite different from what I was expecting, I absolutely loved it. Its very well written and beautifully told. L.A. Fiore pulls you into the story with the very first word and introduces the characters in such a way that you feel as if you know them intimately; you become a part of their world, emotionally invested, and you feel what they feel. Then, Aaron Shedlock and Tracy Marks come along and give these characters voices that sound exactly like you expect, bringing the book, the characters and their world to life. You laugh and cry, and feel every other emotion right along with them.....I even started craving chocolate cake! Its an excellent book, definitely credit worthy and, IMHO, you cant go wrong with any book that has one or all of these three names on the front.

A book that will stay with you

There are some books that just grab you from the start, and this one did just that. And it will stay with you after, a complete and total book hangover. LA Fiore is a wonderful storyteller, but with this book in particular, I have been enraptured. Sydney's childhood is less than happy, until she is a freshman in high school. Life for her changes when she meets Jake. Who meets their soulmate in high school? This lucky girl has finally found the happiness she has longed for...until tragedy strikes. Now with a new path, and a new life, she sets out to find a new happiness with someone completely the opposite of Jake. Abel, a broody alpha male, is a broken man, so we take the journey with these two to see if they can heal together. With a little suspense thrown in, it's truly a my kind of gem to hear. LA Fiore's depiction of love in this story resonates with such deeply real characters, making every emotion seem to be happening to the reader. You will feel the pain of loneliness and loss, love and excitement.

Listening to this story I think really brings it to life, giving the story real passion and credibility. Tracy Marks has a way of invoking the emotions of Sydney so authentically your heart will feel every one. Aaron Shedlock creates Abel with his gruffness and underlying tenderness so it's so easy to fall in love with him. Perfect narration.

I was excited to start this book. I never read the synopsis of a book before listening to it so I wasn't expecting anything specific except a good story because of what I've read by this author in the past.

OMG!

I could not put this down! Chelle Bliss pulls you back into Antonio and Laurens life. The business deal is still ongoing, the heat level between these two is smoking, and now an unknown enemy shows their face. The narrators will kidnap you!

Huge let down

I really wanted to love this book because while I had mixed feelings about the 1st book, I overall loved it. It took them out of the office setting and basically put them on vacation 75% of the book. At times I had to reread the blurb to make sure I was reading the same book. The overall feel just didn't feel the same, and even though it was technically a HEA, the ending made me give it a 2 instead of the 3 I intended. I'm not saying women have to have it all, but she basically gave up everything she'd every loved or been good at to be a housewife. I could've even dealt with that, but she was willing to uproot her entire life to accommodate the hero. I think if it'd been one book, I would've prepared myself for this, but the first book left my expectations so high, I was ultimately let down.

Just didn't match the excitement of the first book to give it a higher more favorable review.

I love her books and I wanted to like this one, but it was slow. Definitely has potential as a kindle read instead of narration.

just okay

This conclusion to this duet was only okay for me. I guess I was expecting a bit more suspense after that cliff hanger. that was resolved within an hour into the book which to me was rather lackluster. then it didn't seem anything much happened after that.

It is hard to explain without giving away spoilers. I guess if your expecting something exciting and suspenseful after that ending in acquisition, then keep your bar low. But Antonio is a very swoony and romantic hero so I enjoyed that. The narration was top notch, but id probably only rate this 3.5 stars. honestly it could have just been one book and id had probably given a higher rating.

Just Wonderful

I have been a fan of JM Darhower's books ever since I read Sempre and this book certainly didn't disappoint. JM Darhower writes about complicated and difficult characters yet you find them relatable.

You don't just end up loving the destination but also the journey.

Definitely a wonderful book.

I was a little confused at the beginning of the book because she was reading the past in thrird person but by chapter three I was locked in. Like I always say I love a cute kid in the story and maggie was hilarious. Cute kid, comedic timing and sweet sex. I loved it. Worth the credit. AND OF COURSE NARRATION WAS STELLAR

A BEAUTIFUL EMOTIONAL JOURNEY OF SECOND CHANCES

The Publishers synopsis outlines the book but what really brings this touching story to life is the three-dimensional characters themselves and the skill of the narrators who portray them. Because you feel the dilemma, the distrust, the guilt, the shame and the heartache of a young love thats gone terribly and tragically wrong. Its mainly set in the present telling of an uphill struggle to make things right, to seek forgiveness, to reclaim a lost love and to put a family back together again, but there are chapters set in the past that slowly reveal what went wrong.

Wow... just wow! The Plot Thickens!

Talk about a cliffhanger.... I really hate the thought of waiting another year to find out what happens next with The Perfect Gentlemen and their wives! Roman and Gus are sexy and explosive. Its nice to get a few more pieces to this intricate puzzle and the backstory as well.

Lots of intrigue, but this was also an emotional ride. I really love how seamlessly Black and Blake weave these couples into the overlying thriller that runs from the first book until now- with virtually no plot holes. Each player is described in such detail, from the inside out, they come alive , and its so easy to become invested in these relationships. These are definitely not stand alones-you have to start at the beginning-and its time well spent.

The dialogue is fantastic, though sometimes during the action I felt like Roman and Gus were each in their own heads just a little bit too much. The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts, and when they get together its intimate,erotic, and all consuming. I got all the feels.

One of the things I love about these books & this couple is that they are adults-in their late 30s, have made mistakes, are still falling in love, still sexy, confident, mature enough to work things through, take responsibility for their choices, willing to take risks emotionally.....eventually.

This is truly a sophisticated, witty, twisted, suspenseful, mysterious, romantic, erotic, political thriller. It was worth the wait and definitely everything I anticipated and more.

AN EASYGOING TOUCHING ROMANCE

A very nice conclusion which ends the Walker Billionaire Trilogy and its Danes turn, hes the scarred younger brother, whod been resigned to spending his life alone and in near seclusion on his own tropical island away from prying judgemental eyes. But, when his brother arranges for Kenzie to be Danes live-in Assistant, it would turn out to be the best thing he could ever have done for his reclusive brother. Because Kenzie also had scars.. and a frightening heartbreaking past.. and she felt uncertain tomorrows too.. but Dane saw beyond Kenzies scars just as she had seen beyond his, they completely understood each other and they fell deeply and hopelessly in love. However, Kenzie shared a lot of her history.. but she kept back one dreaded secret about her past.. and that secret finally catches up with Kenzie when she least expects it.

Its all things nice.. really nice characters, nice drama-lite dual POV plot, nice h/h-driven character growth, nice sex scenes and nicely narrated - but if youre looking for angst, suspense, thrills and bad-boy Alphas sorry this isnt it. Because its about Kenzie and Dane who saw beyond one anothers scars, learned to accept them, showed each other their scars dont define them.. and that they are only a very small part of who they actually are.

Worth a credit? For me, yes.. it was an enjoyable easy-glide to the HEA with just a very short burst of drama - and sometimes thats all Im looking for.. a sexy sugary-sweet listen.

Wonderful story

I truly enjoyed Damaged. The walker brothers stories have been a good one I was intrigued at home Dane story come out. I love the story itself and a woman who love him for him.

Exciting life journey continues

I enjoyed listening to this book. It has a great mix of humor, romance, hot sex, people emotions, friendships and lesson learn sections. Story has a nice flow to it. Author makes you feel like you are there, getting new friends and falling in love. I also like the matchmaking abilities of Mia. She incurable romantic and successfully tries to set up together new people she meets.

The narrator is great. She is great in using different voices for characters and displaying their emotions based on situation.

On Brother!

Kate has been dating James for years but after a conversation about marriage, James seems less and less available, attached, aroused, ... After yet another cancelled date then weekend plans, Kate heads to Tahoe with his brother, Paul and his girlfriend, her best friend. When her friend bails, due to a work emergency, Kate is stuck with Paul. Their relationship has been punctuated with barbs and sniping, making the idea of a ski weekend with Paul unappealing. After a great day of skiing, challenging one another to races and difficult runs, Kate is invigorated and exhausted. Their last run is through increasingly heavy snow, as the mountain is hit earlier than expected by a worse than predicted storm. Alone together back at James' and Paul's family chalet, the two share dinner and a surprising attraction. A power outage leaves Kate no alternative but to move from the guest house into the main house, where there are fireplaces. This puts her way too close to a growing connection with Paul. The situation leaves little time apart and increasing emotional conflict. Such a good book with wonderful characters for whom you'll cheer. I hope you find it as delightful and "real" as I did.

I enjoyed the story of Kate and James, his brother and her best friend. The four of them were interesting characters and the story line was very interesting.
