This Could Be Your Life...wait a minute this is my life! Love it!

This story reflects family at its best and by that I mean it doesn't matter whether you are rich or poor, divorced or not. We all have our flukes that occur and it is truly how we are able to handle these flukes and use them to grow up wiser and move on.

I loved all the characters and pets in this story which is well written and developed by Ms. Mallery. The characters are so realistic in its depiction of teens, the crazy know it all Mom, the first time pregnancy and even the divorcee. It was easy to read and flowed well. It was filled with humor, fun, angst and some tears as well. I found myself wanting to jump forward to find out what happens next. Thank you Susan for another wonderful story in this series.

I would love to see a future story with Becca and Ashton (who was hot, hot!)

A Departure from her other books

This was just a bit different from Susans normal in that the main characters are not young but are almost to middle age. Absolutely loved the book, the story line was real and showed that life is full of challenges which can be met and overcome with persistence and a lot of love. Itâs well worth the read and hopefully there will be more in this series.

A good read

I really enjoyed this book. I donât love it the way I love Foolâs Gold and Happily, so itâs hard for me to articulate how I feel about it. The characters are well developed and thought provoking. Itâs incredibly well written. I would recommend it to anyone, I think everyone who enjoys this genre will enjoy this too.

Another winner

The talent that Susan Mallory has for her characters is so real and entertaining. I downloaded the book to my kindle fire so I will be able to reread it at any time. The other two books in the series are in book form.

There were two spelling errors that her "proof reader" missed. Thanks.

Great book! Couldn't put it down

Such an awesome read. Susan has some really great books, I've more than likely read them all, but this one is different, so much going on and yet it all comes together so beautifully in the end.

I Benny

think Benny might be my favorite of the guys so far. I absolutely loved the resolution at the end of this but, what a ride it was to get there. I immediately loved Eliza, however, I just couldnt get behind her until all of her secrets came out. I was also surprised Benny was so calm throughout all she did. I definitely wanted more at the end of this story though because it took so long to get where they needed to be.

Fun and Sexy Forbidden Romance!

I loved this combination of a sports romance and forbidden romance! It was funny, sweet and sexy with a bit of drama to keep you totally engaged. I had been waiting for Benny's story and he is even more swoon worthy than I expected. Benny was a player and didn't appreciate how hard the coach was being on him. When he found out that the coach had a sexy daughter who was off limits, Benny figured a little rebellion was just the ticket. Coach Townsend's daughter, Eliza, is back in Vegas to finish her last year of college. She has a huge crush on Benny and when she has a chance to meet him, she has a little rebellion planned of her own. Benny and Eliza had instant attraction and also had alot of fun together. They loved spending time together and soon Benny wanted to be a better man for her. But Eliza has a secret she can't disclose to Benny and every time he gets close to the truth, Eliza digs a bigger hole to cover it up. Benny is so sweet and just goes along with it, no matter how weird her stories get. I was pretty frustrated with Eliza at times, wanting her to have more confidence and stand up for herself. But then I remembered she is so young, that I was satisfied with letting it all play out. Complications on Ice and off the ice is where Benny shines and his character just grew into a wonderful man and strong leader.

This story ran simultaneously with the second book in this series, Resistance on Ice. Altho it isn't a major plot point, it was fun seeing how Nolan and Lainey's relationship blossomed from an outside pov.

Narrator, Tracy Marks, is an amazing storyteller. She is able to effortlessly move between male and female voices while still conveying every emotion.

A DISAPPOINTING LISTEN IM AFRAID

The trouble with a good female narrator is that they totally spoil you for anything less and, when a books reader is just so-so or not that great, then they fail to capture your interest, hold your undivided attention, excite you with their vocal nuances, make you swoon with a believable deeper male pitch and entertain you by delivering an enjoyable listen. Unfortunately (for me) this book suffered because of this.. but it wasnt all on the narration.. no, there were some pretty bad statements, sentences and scenes too which had me skipping, missing and speeding up instead of savouring each dual POV chapter. Even the sex scenes failed to impress and had some pretty bad wording for what shouldve been sexy, sweet and sensual.. in fact, I cant believe Nicole Snow wrote this.

Worth a credit? This is my thoughts only.. and maybe its just because my last few perfect listens have spoiled me for anything less, but for me its a NO not worth a credit - and Ill be asking for mine back.

Erotica with heart

Dirty Filthy Fix is Nathan Sinclair's story. And what a story it is. Cinderella of a kinky sort. You remember him. Nate showed up at Weston's wedding with an unexpected date. A bearded hottie full of sarcasm, oozing sex, and full of surprises - a volatile combination for this girl's panties.

Loved the narration!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!!

Don't ya just love when life gets crazy and things pop up left and right that pull you in every direction. That has been me since before Christmas. I had been waiting to read this book since the I read Bad Deeds. The way that ended has had my mind conjuring up so many outcomes. Then I received the book and there just seemed to be blow after blow of life's hand that kept me from delving into the conclusion of Shane and Emily's story. I couldn't concentrate enough to give the book my much deserved attention. So I grabbed the audiobook in hopes that it would help with the concentration and I could actually escape into the Dirty Money world.

It did! Grace Grant and Jemery York were the perfect distractions to get me out of my head. They brought Shane and Emily's characters to life and immersed me in to the story in a way that I so desperately needed.

The conclusion to the Dirty Money series was just as intense, just as suspenseful, just as delicious, just as hot, but it was so much more emotional than I expected. I advise to have tissues on hand.

Ok, I'm afraid if I go into the book, those pesky spoilers are going to spew forth. So here are a few notes that I jotted down while listening:

Lisa Renee Jones has become one of my favorite authors in the Romantic Suspense category. I haven't read everything that she written but what I have has done the trick and put her on my Crazy Ass Stalking list. I am so looking forward reading more from Ms. Jones.

Awesome series!

From the first book to the last great series! Lisa Renée Jones did it again with suspense romance and love. This series is one I will definitely listen to again.

Mixed feelings!

I have read all four books and was so excited to finally get to finish book for. The story and plot were well written and worked well with the first three books. BUT I was very disappointed with the ending, yes the book did have a HEA but the ending was so quick and abrupt, I felt kind of cheated.

Real adventure and romance

Real adventure, and romance. Fun to read and listen too. Never knew what was happening next. I read the book when I had time and listened on Audible while I drove or exercised. A great book to combine reading and listening to. The adventure takes you from Montana to the Caribbean from horseback to a luxurious yacht. From a hospital to a rescue chopper. Good life lessons included all in all a great book. More please!

Oh what a hot little control freak

This story is amazing. I loved the book, but the audio was incredible. I couldnt recommend a book, or series more.

No mystery, no intrigue, no danger . . .

I was looking for the same level or close to the level of intrigue, danger, mystery that was contained in the other books of the Hope Town series. I accept that not every book needs to follow the same pattern but I was just looking for the bite of danger, mystery, intrigue, and romance all put together the way Harper Sloan does it. She lifts the bar and waves it high. None of this is to say that I did not like the read. I did so much enjoy Shane and Nikki's chance with each other. They both were looking to get rid of an ex that just would not go away.

Shane was dangerous with his leathal body and the sexy hot moves that he displayed in the bar, on the bar, around the bar, but he lacked the confidence in his choice of lady for relationship material. One moment he seems to trust his decision, then he seems to not trust it. I was just wondering when his ex was going to get her's for messing up his head the way she did. Nikki was the glue for it all. She was strong, fierce, determined, and sassy. She could hold her own. She took nothing. She knew when it was time to walk away and allow others to come to the correct conclusion.

Narration was good. I feel that Joe and Shirl added that little extra spice to the read. Their emotion was felt though the audio.
