The narration really did the story justice!

Reading another book with my favorite fictional family in it feels like coming home. Loren and Lily Hale are probably my #1 favorite book couple ever. Damaged Like Us is their son, Maximoff Hales, book. This can be read as a stand-alone, but I think for those of us that are huge Addicted fans, it will be even more special!

Moffy was born into fame. Privacy is something hes used to not having. A body guard is something hes had his entire life, so its nothing new to him. When Moffys bodyguard hes had for the longest time retires, hes a bit anxious to get a new one. You spend a lot of time with this person and he was used to who he had. He was comfortable. Farrow Keene, his teenage crush who used to be his mothers bodyguard, is not someone he wants protecting him. But thats who he ends up with.

The chemistry between these two was hot from the start. You could feel the sexual tension between Farrow and Moffy from the beginning. I loved their banter and connection. I loved that Farrow really saw Moffy, who he was, not just as a famous person. Being with Farrow changed Moffy. The sparks between them flew. I didnt know how the twins would do writing a m/m romance, but I thought they did a fantastic job.

Moffy is the oldest of the Hale kids and since hes the oldest, hes always been the one his siblings and cousins turn to. I love the family dynamic in this book. Getting to see the old Addicted gang, and the new generation made my heart so happy. I loved the relationship between Moffy and his cousin, Jane. I cant wait to get her book as well! I was a little anxious about Farrow at first, but I was so glad I ended up loving him as much as Moffy.

Damaged Like Us is a book I would recommend to all fans of the Addicted series, m/m lovers, and lovers of romance alike. It was a great start to this next generation series and I cant wait to read more!!!

I thought the audio version of this book was FANTASTIC! The narration really did the story justice.

He Has Met His Match

I couldn't wait to get off work to read this highly anticipated book so I had to get the audible book to get a jump on it. I loved how the story took off from the first sentence. Maddison was enthralled with Luke from the first time she saw him. Luke wasn't to far behind her. The journey these two took to be together was very well written. The narrator was fantastic. Definately an audiobook I will listen to again.....okay maybe 10 more times!!

Ugh!

Could not get past the first 3 chapters. Never heard "pussy" and "cock" used so many times in such a short span of pages. Judging from other reviews, this continues on throughout the remainder of the book. This is not literature,this is smut. I love a good romance novel as much as anyone, but this ain't it!

Overdone.

The storyline or lack there of left much to be desired. A bit overdramatic and overdone.

I tried. I did listen to the whole story. I didnt care for it. To much forced at you so fast. Barely know the characters before they are naked and having sex. I still dont really know them. Trying too hard to be sexy and it was just kind of perverse.

NICE.. HOT ALPHA SUPER-HEROES ON STEROIDS

Another unique action-packed listen from JA Huss that tells of super heroes.. or super villains depending on your take, who battle one particular evil megalomaniac who once tried to create his own personal army of 'altered' humans. This had a good start - the intrigue, surprise and suspense was there.. but I missed the build-up and the romance elements to the story. The possessive sexy Biker-style hero (or anti-hero) was great and so was his two accomplices.. well Shiela, Lincoln's female hologram virtual assistant, makes three and she nearly stole the show. Everything in this dual POV story takes place over a couple of weeks.. although the pawns and the players have been known to each other for fifteen years. There were h o t sex scenes.. and not everything went to plan of course with twists and revelations..

I fell in Love with Riley and Trevor

Kristen Proby has created a brilliant world in her Fusion series. It is about five friends who open a sexy restaurant in Portland, Oregon. Each one brings something of value to their business and I love learning about them all. Kristen Proby weaves her magic into this series by creating stand alone stories for each of the five main characters, while intricately merging the story lines throughout the entire series. I cannot get enough of these memorable characters. Kristen has found a way to burrow them deep into my heart an not let go.

In this story, you meet Riley Gibson and Trevor Cooper. Riley is the PR person for Seduction, the restaurant the girl's own. She has managed to get their restaurant featured on a food network. This will bring a lot of notoriety to their business as well as showcase what makes it so unique. What she doesn't expect is to meet and fall for the show's producer. He travels for a living and resides in Los Angeles. Riley's worst fear is that their geographical differences is a recipe for disaster.

This story is filled with humor, love and combustible chemistry. I could not put this story down. I absolutely fell in love with Riley and Trevor. I can't wait to see what Kristen Proby has in store for us next.

PS - The Audio version of this book only enhanced Kristen Proby's brilliance as an author. Sebastian York and Abby Craden brought the characters to life and kept me entertained completely. I would highly recommend any book read by either of these two talents.

Loved the Story

It was fun and probably more relatable than most romance novels (granted its still a romance novel). The only ONLY thing I didnt like was her voice for Kat in this book. I understand the limited range a human voice allows, but it was not my favorite representation. Normally I love these two narrators, theyre voices are sexy and enticing and make you WANT to keep listening. But in this novel it sounded as though Kat had a nasty cold the entire story.

Dialog started out funny but story ended up very sweet

Caution: so funny, you'll wet your pants!

If you're looking for a fun escape this book is it! I've read other Peterman titles that have made me laugh, but didn't have the same magic in audio format. This book doesn't have that problem. The premise is funny, the characterization is hilarious, the story within the story brought tears of laughter to my eyes and the boyfriend's voice is just sexy!

Really, it's raunchy and hilarious and it will make you snort coffee out of your nose - read it.

***Excessive Searing***

How hard can it be to become a romance novel writer? Rena, our protagonist, feels it is not hard at all. She is a CPA who happens to write numbers; so she kinda writes now. She also felt, showing up to the news station for a month straight would get her the job to be a meteorologist. Instead, it resulted in her receiving a restraining order against her, 6 hours in jail, and being the story on the 6:00 news.

Jessica Almasys narration was delightfully, youthful, and energetic. Within the first 3 minutes she transports you to the era of Lucy Ball. Rena turns all situations amusing by her bungling and incompetence.

In Renas her quest to become a writer goes to writers workshop, where she finds a group of eclectic geriatric women, who write romance novels. Renas goal is to meet the New York times bestselling romance novelist, Evangeline OHare.

From that point, her life is a roller coaster of events; finding her true love, being arrested, losing her true love, being blackmail and family dinners with an aunt who think aliens are living in her toaster. It is Renas sense of justice and passion that motivates her to write Pirate Dave and His Randy Adventures.

This is a hilarious book that I will read again and again. The next books in the series are about different characters. It is Rena and her quirky entourages adventures that I enjoy.

A bit surprised by the language

R-rated. Not because of sexual content but the sheer quantity of f-bombs and their equivalent. Theres a point where it ceases to be funny and becomes tiresome. The story was really fun and the writer succeeds in making it even painfully funny so much so you want to duck your head and just haul off laughing, until, as I said you grow tired of the nasty language and just wish shed back off by half. The narrator does a great job. Heed the warnings and give it a try. Youll laugh!

So damn funny!!!

Cain Finds His Heart

What a thrill to have another taste of the Barcelli brothers. Cain is the main subject of this part. Crow and Button are also present as well as a new character that catches the attention of Cain. This book is just as awesome as the first three. And I can't wait to start part 5. Excellent storyline and intriguing characters!

I loved it!

Once again, I was impressed. The only thing I wondered was where Adelina's accent went when Michael was narrating her. I loved seeing a different side to Cane that we all hoped was there from previous installments of this series. I'm moving right on to the next one!

I read all 3 prior Button novels; I'm not a fan of cliffhangers but this journey have got me hooked.

Love Caines first book

I liked Caine in the first 3 books, and enjoyed this first book about him. Love both characters and the story. My only complaint is the male narrators female voice. Its awful. However, it is still worth listening to. Dont let it stop you from listening.

My effin' heart!

I'm so glad I purchased he audiobook even after I read Ruckus. LJ Shen is one amazing author who knows how to write stories that dig into your heart and stay there. She can create the most 'Vicious' (yes pun intended) character and you'll still fall in love. When she wrote Dean and Rosie's story, she for sure wanted to make her readers cry like freakin babies! I read the book but getting to hear the narrators, who've done an amazing job, really did a number on me. Shen's books are always worth the purchase and if you haven't yet, do it! 5 explosive stars for Ruckus! Can't wait for Scandalous!!!

Loved the story and narrators

This was a wonderfully funny, emotional book. I absolutely love LJ Shens writing style. The banter between the Hot Holes, especially Vicious and Dean is hilarious. I can't get enough of this series. All book I've read/listened to by this author have been repeat reads so far. Love love love!

Hoping this is not where the story ends

I enjoyed both Vicious and Ruckus. Both have likable characters, good storylines and hot scenes. I hope that Ms. Shen is working on a follow-up because there is much more of the story that can be told.

This story almost broke me!

I started this Audiobook immediately after I finished Vicious. Because my need was so great it could not be ignored. And I was in the middle of a four hour drive and it kept me entertained. I was thoroughly exited when I discovered that Christian Rummel was narrating again. As I mentioned in my review for Vicious, after only one performance he has claimed a spot as a top favorite male narrator. Christian, if you're reading this, I'm DYING for you to narrate more romance! I'll one click them ALL! I really liked Savannah Peachwood in Vicious, but her performance in Ruckus really endeared her to me. She did a spectacular job of portraying not only Rosie's character, but the raw emotion as well.

Ok, so about the story. If you listened to Vicious, you caught a glimpse of Rosie and Dean. But there is so much more to know! They have secrets! Dirty, flirty, heartfelt secrets.

Intense story!

Narrators were equally good. I was connected to Heidi and Landon's story from the beginning. I couldn't help but listen and hope thy they'd work through things together. I felt Landen. Poor guy, he tried doing the right thing and always seemed to get cheated out of a happy ending. I felt like he was struggling to keep his dreams alive. It wasn't hard to root for his happy ending.

This book made me fall in love with the entire Wright family. And I'm eager to learn more about the remaining characters!

I love this Series!

The Wright Family is Amazing! I can't get enough of this series.

I highly enjoyed Heidi and Landon's story. These two deserved their happily ever after. Their journey together was bumpy and they made a lot of mistakes but in the end, their love was strong enough to bring them back together.

I really enjoyed Heidi's story with her father and how it turned out. Their was so much emotion there.

How is it that Heidi sent mixed signals and assumes no responsibility for her actions? Emory sounded more like an adult in book 1, but in this book the females sound like valley girls.

Another good book by this dynamic duo! I have to save I love the idea of Hailey's business and it made for a fun story line too! Matt & Hailey's story was sweet and playful and very sexy. I have a serious love for single dad's in books so I knew I'd love Matt from the beginning. I love that he is trying to be the best dad he can even if his ex doesn't always make it easy. This book left me feeling happy :)

The narration was 100X better than book 1 for me. They were perfect!

This was better than book 1....better story line, better narration.....I loved it...I hope we get another book in this series...Matt and Hailey were great together...they were just what each other needed...sometimes you have to be with the wrong person, to find the right one....I cant wait for them to have babies!!! This was a perfect story....I totally recommend 100%!!!

Story was very entertaining. Narration was excellent. You will be able to relate if you were ever divorced. It's not depressing. Has an great HEA. I will listen again.

What did you love best about Stay?

I always love the humor these gals bring to their writing. Although this one wasn't quite as laugh out loud as Good Boy, it had plenty of giggles for me. My favorite scene was definitely at the poker table with some of our favorite guys from previous books in the series.
