OH NO - IS IT REALLY OVER??

If it is then the series went out with a big bang! It had Werewolves, Wizards, Witches AND Vampires - of course they're all handsome and sexy but that's a real plus aye girls!

Another brilliant twisted plot, another funny story, another delicious paranormal romance and another credit well spent.

I really enjoyed this series

Where to start? The ending came too soon, you know how it is when it gets really good and you wonder what is going to happen next...well that is how I was left feeling. Brothers reunited after years of separation and suffering. A mate found who is strong in both her beliefs and is fierce. I enjoy reading about strong female leads that are not crying, sniffling, and weak waiting on the hero to swoop in and save them. I felt like the hero did a little of that but not too much to make you cringe. Overall this series was good and you should check it out.

Keeps on hunting, but no end in sight.

Best of the series

I think this was the best of this series. This was the audio version and while the narrator was not one of my favorites he did all right. Good plot, good characters.

The Best One Yet!!

This is the best one yet I think!! This is the story of Byron (Lucas's lost brother) a werewolf and Katherine a hunter and a dormant. Two people from opposite ends of the story who come together to fight a common enemy. As their stories unfold, they get help from not only friends, but a couple of mysterious allies. The twists at the end will have you shaking your head and on pins and needles for the next book in this series. Some may take this book as the end of the series, I really, really hope that is not true. For while some questions have been answered, there are still more that have not been answered yet and I would like to see what happens with Jessie.

Wasted a credit!

Usually there is a story or plot along with some bedroom activities, just to add a little more exotic interest. But, nearing the end of the first half of the book, I realized there is an abundance of bedroom gymnastics, but a total lack of interesting plot or even an interesting character. I won't be finishing this one.

The narrator tries to do a good job with her part, but it's not her fault that there is nothing but junk to read.

Has Sarah gone off the boil?

I got sooooooooo excited when I realised there was another Sarah McCarty series to folllow so gladly gave up a credit. I did NOT love this one and it's put me off the rest of the series. While I managed to get through the book at times I was bored with it as I just did not bond with the characters as I had with main charaters of the first 4 Hells Eight guys.

Who could like this?

The reviews were so positive! I was expecting something delicious. I agree that Sarah McCarty has talent, but this book's plot sinks into an unispired circle of Vampire cliches that bored me to distraction.

"I won't drink blood." "You MUST drink blood."

Thirty pages later, I couldn't care less. There has to be a difference between conflict and bickering, otherwise, I'm not on board.

Just plain BLAH!!

This was my first Sarah McCarty book and I don't know what all the hullabaloo is about. The story is BORING!! Actually is there a story? No plot whatsoever, just a chick gets chased. Why? Why does the werewolf chase her and want to kill her? After she is changed to a vampire, we go through this whole I won't drink blood....meh....A whole book of her not drinking anyone's blood but her sires. OK!! We got that move on. Tavia is a good reader, but even she can't save this one. I wouldn't waste my time reading this one, even the sex scenes were boring.

Ok, first I never bash a book. Check out my reviews and you will see. This book was really really terrible. Its the first book I couldn't finish. Even my husband who is an avid reader and writer came in a time or two and asked me what I was listening to, followed with an astonished "Why". I admit, I waited it out hoping it would get better. I finally turned it off unhappy and unsatisfied.

Best Book of the Series!!

I could not believe my ears; the story line was awesome!!! thank you for giving Firebird a life and a purpose. This book was great. I am glad Audible added it to the collection. I did not want to read it. Thank you soooo much.

Excellent! The depth and enthusiasm in his performance was wonderful, and kept the story interesting.

Near the end, when I thought Firebird and Alexander was consumed by flames, I was so relieved with the ending. It made me want another book continuing their story!

I was so into the book, that I actually listened to it twice, so I would not miss any details! And I was glad I did!

This book has so much going on... it's sexy, edgy and intensely hot. And with such a fast-pace, stopping the book was impossible. I listened to this in one day.

Too bad it's so short... very enjoyable

I enjoyed the story even though it was such a short listen. Kendall and Amy were a love at first sight. The author always gives wonderful details and although these are steampunk and not 100% historically correct, they are as true to the times as they can be and still stay true to this type of book.

The narrator was very good as well.. Nice pleasant voice and deeper than normal for male parts of the book. I think she did well with the story.

These can be read out of order but you'll feel so much more in tune if you start with Steam & Sorcery. ENJOY!!

OK read and barely OK narration..

This was a nice story, about Kendall and Amy who fell in love while trying to find out how and why six people shed taken pictures of had died. It was interesting how it happened but Im not going to give you any spoilers. You just have to read it.

The only thing I didnt like about this was that it was only about 92 pages and I think 25 or 30 of them were sex. It just went on forever.

It was nice seeing Caroline and Nell from the first book but this was still a stand-alone supernatural story.

As to the narration: Kate Reading was OK but when Kendall was feeling a little frisky and he talked to Amy he sounded more like he was about to be sick. Definitely not sexy at all. Ms. Reading did an alright job for this being narrated in 2011.

Fooled.

Don't be fooled like I was. There is no story here. This is Harlequin dreck, pure and simple.

Could not continue listening

I'm going to agree with Josaphine's review. The narrator was just not capable of keeping me interested in the story. Though she got through an hour of it, I lasted only about 20 mins. Purchase this one at your own risk my friends.

Absolutely Horrendous Narrator

The story may have promise. Unfortunately I will never know as the narrator was terrible to the point of being distracting. The reading was wooden and awkward. Strange pauses and the mispronunciation of basic words add to the over all amateurish production. Despite my desire to gut it out and at least finish the book I paid for- I was unable to get through more than 1 hour before abandoning it PURELY due to the narration. Will never purchase a book narrated by "Zoe Hunter" again regardless of who wrote it. With all the voice talent to choose from it's a shame Carina Press chose someone with the cold reading skills most often found in a High School production of Our Town. Carina Press...please stop hiring this person. Members- just trust me...Do Not Waste Your Credits.

Demon's Fall must mean fell asleep; 1.5 overall

First, I will admit that this book review is based on hearing only parts of this book. The reason this review can't be based on its entirety is because I would repeatedly doze off while listening to it. But that, in and of itself, should tell you my primary view of this bookboring.

From the start, this book is problematic. Kenan, who doesn't find angels attractive or appealing, is immediatelyat least after purchasing her--for some unknown and never explained reason, immensely attracted to Jahel, an angel. And the story is downhill after that. It's barely erotic or even romantic. The sex is very dull and uninspired, as is the book. It doesn't flow well. Some parts seemed disconnected as if the author was thinking of more than one book when putting this story together. As a result, she forced together parts without being able to connect them. Most of all this book never managed to hold my interest. Whatever good there was in the story only managed to last the length of the book excerpt. And there may have been other snippets like that, but, if so, they were too few and far in between. Finally, not surprisingly, it was a very predictable story.

The narrator did an ok job except during the sex scenes. She seemed to be incapable of honestly sounding out sensual sounds. So it sounded forced and insincere only adding to the poor aspects of this tale unfortunately.

AWSOME! LOVED IT! this is a must read book!

I loved this story of Adric's fall from grace and his path to redemption.

there are some pretty steamy love scenes, cool battles with demon men,a fiery plane crash, and a near death experience. this book moved from the first word to the last.

the whole series is great and I highly recommend all the books in it but Adric was my favorite of all the wilder boys.

the gift/curse of the devil to the men of this family is the ability to change into mighty beasts of prey, good health and the ability to heal almost instantly,... and only another demon/ or someone similarly gifted can kill you. COOL HUH? but there's a major down side.. the devil gets your soul when you die... but on earth?

the more Adric uses this gift the deeper he falls into the devils clutches, and the deeper in he goes the less human he is.. until he meets someone who makes him want to be a man again.

Adric's love (Karen) is no pushover and a great character you'll love.

and lastly Richard Ferone did an AMAZING job with the narration.

Paranormal romance readers this is a must read book!!!!

Light fantasy

Not one of Nora Robert's best. The story was fantasy but even fantasy could be delivered with better character development, plot, insight. And the reader's voice was extremely annoying: always on the verge of breaking, gravelly. I love Nora but was disappointed in this. I would not recommend it for anyone.

Need to change narrator

The book was good as is all of Nora Robert's books but it is hard to envision the man to be "handsome" when he sounds old and feeble
