Merry Meet

Oh my Goddess! This series was outstanding,having finished all four books, each one leaving you breathless, this book, had my heart pounding and my pulse racing.

Maggie leads you down the twisted path, having you think oh no! Not that! Holding your breath thinking how are they going to get out if this mess.

Her through explanation of a witches beliefs and rituals, are spot on, explaining it so that those not in the know not only get a great read but a clearer understanding of Wicca, and what it's truly about.

This series was awesome, and you will definitely be glad you decided to read it, plus you will gain knowledge and understanding of an on religion that is very misunderstood, and misrepresented, thank you Maggie, for being brave enough to write the true facts and information into a riveting series.

A story of everlasting love, good over evil, I loved it!

Loved it!

I wasn't too shocked with whom reincarnated into Father Dom's body, but Gus, yup that was a total shocker. I absolutely adore authors who can surprise their readers so with that unexpected twist, this story deserved a 5 star rating.

Demetrius and Lilia, their journey back together didn't wow me but not every love story can be an earth shattering journey. Even though I wasn't completely blown away by these two, I still liked their tale and how the Portal Series ended or is this really the end. The final pages had me wondering and I'm sure it will have you wondering too.

Blood of the Sorceress (The Portal)

Fantastic finale to the Portal Series. I really enjoyed reading them all. Each were related to the other, but also very different from each other.

This one centers on Demetrius and Lilia, to the actual two people that this tale begins with.

Demetrius finally being free, but not free. His senses and feelings on things we take for granted is filtered. He can't enjoy what most humans feel until he receives the last piece of his soul. Lilia holds that piece, but Demetrius doesn't know if he can trust her, and anyone for that matter.

This book is filled with suspense, lies, betrayals, romance, magic, bonding and relationships. There is so much to this last installment. Can Demetrius make the right decision before it's too late? This was nail biting to the end. Lots of twists and turns.

An Actual Ending....

I have been reading the Warriors of Poseidon series since the first book came out on Audible, and it's been a bit of a rocky ride. While I enjoyed the concept and the stories overall, I wasn't always so thrilled with the narration. Imagine my glee when I discovered they had changed narrators for this final installment and that one of my very favorite narrators, Xe Sands, was reading it. It made, for me, all the difference in the world. I think if she had read the series from the beginning, it would have changed this from a series I "liked" to a series that I "loved". She absolutely nailed it in my opinion.

In this book we Finally (yes, Finally with a capital F) get Alaric and Quinn's story. These two met in the very first book and boy did the sparks fly. They run into each other at least once a book for the next 6 books, leaving us wondering what would come of their seemingly doomed affection for each other. Now I know, but if you want to find out, you'll have to read the book! They were, from the beginning, such a mismatched couple that it was almost humorous. I was so happy to see that they were finally going to get their story told.

I was also happy that this book actually tied up all the loose ends of the Warriors of Poseidon series. I love a good series, and some I don't mind going on more or less indefinitely, but this particular series had an "end point" that you could see coming from the beginning, and it would have just been wrong to have carried it on and on without resolution. Alyssa Day does exactly the right thing by making this the last book in this series and ending this story line arc. I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend this series to any PNR fan.

loved it, great story and narration

I couldn't wait for this story and I was not disappointed. Xe Sands never fails to please. The male voices are sooo sexy. Alaric was positively toe curling. I am only half way so far but I am loving every minute.

Satisfying ending to the Atlantis series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend the book, but suggest starting with the first book in the series. Alaric and Quinn's story builds through the first seven books, and this final book brings them together. The read/listen will be much more satisfying if you have read the full series.

The story was great but hated that they changed the narrator for the last book, Xe Sands is a wonderful narrator but not for this book. She changed the personalities, voices and cadence of the books.

I'M NOW DESPERATELY SEEKING BOOK 3

Ramsey (a were-bear) but who is really just a gentle giant, agrees to pretend to be mated to Sara (a were-wolf) to protect her from all the other were-wolves from a local pack who only want her in their pack to mate with her. But she was turned by a vicious were-wolf who abused her and so she now has trust issues and is frightened of everything - including Ramsey.

Touching, tender, sensual, sweet and moving all describe the relationship between the two Wereshifter lovers as they both learn to trust and depend on each other. It's also got some great new characters and also some from the previous book and some nasty werewolves too as they all try to save Sara from a fate worse than death.

As with all the follow-on books to any series, I wished I'd of listened again to the previous book - in this case it's 'Beauty Dates The Beast' which may have helped refresh me with the names, places and backgound story etc.

Worth a credit? Any paranormal romance lover should enjoy this book as I did, so it's a definite YES and I'm looking forward to the 3rd book in the trilogy 'Must Love Fangs' (hints of vampires doesn't it) but I'm afraid we have to wait til August 2013 for this.

this story left me with mixed feelings

The story didn't have a fairytale ending. Instead it was bittersweet. The bitter taste came when this Sims introduced the widespread issue of domestic violence into the storyline. I couldn't fully enjoy the happy ending due to the widespread nature of the packs mentality toward women. I'm not foolish enough to believe it will be all roses and smiles for the packs after this. Joining the alliance will not affect the mindset of abusers and setting up women with men known to have the abuser mentally (or the perpetuation of it) is outright stupidity. The sweet part , of course was the consistency of caring the main couple showed for one another and the way they choose to commit in spite of the obstacles that still faced them.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

After previously listening to, and unable to finish, three books from the Romance Package library before starting this book and those books had me cringing and feeling duped and annoyed I have finally found a book that was worth listening all the way through. This book was filled with romance in the real sense of the word and not just lustful scenes that is suppose to be passed off as romance. Romance books should always be about tugging heartstrings and growing emotions between the characters and this book had that in spades. Extra bonus is that the book was also funny and sweet at times. There were so many moments where I giggled or sighed from subtle romantic moments. And the narrator's performance was outstanding.

A 3.5 star apocalyptic paranormal survival story

This was a dark intense paranormal world-building mythological fantasy with many different shapeshifting supernaturals, ghosts, wraiths and soul sucking demons all living in the underbelly of Seattle without humans knowledge and they battle a hidden war and use each other in the most dangerous and torturous way.

I have mixed feelings about this book - I prefer a bit more romance to my listens however I found this to be a very well written multi-layered complex story (which will appeal to many of you) with some really evil characters that do some wicked acts and even the hero starts off dislikable then slowly changes as he grows to care. Eventually the romance element kicks in as they have to battle together to save themselves - but little do they know that there's a bigger battle coming up that will touch everyone's lives.

Worth a credit? Well it was a very addictive listen but it also left me quite depressed which I don't like (I'm afraid I fall into the ahhhh a delicious listen category) I enjoyed parts but was pleased to eventually finish it and I don't anticipate downloading book 2 so it's a NO - but I'm sure there are plenty of listeners who will be hooked on these types of books.

Pretty decent book but annoying narration

What would have made Hearts of Darkness better?

I had a hard time with the narrator. It's hard for me describe, her reading was kind is shaky & breathy, mostly breathy I guess & the voices she did for most characters all kind of sounded the same. I particularly couldn't stand her men's voices.

EVERY SINGLE PARAGRAPH WAS JUST.......WOW

I was hooked from the very start - it was Gabriel's turn to find his soul mate and what a journey it's been - to Scotland where we first find the sexy Archangel. I absolutely love love love these books because, as the stories unfold, they reveal more and more of the character's abilities, thoughts, intentions, strengths and weaknesses and the plots have so many twists and turns that you have to just stop assuming, sit back and enjoy rather than assume a thing only to be taken down a completely different path - you just don't know what's coming next.

All the characters in the previous book are included then brought forward to this book. Even the bad guys are all handsome with different abilities and you get involved in their stories too.

Narrator did a fantastic job of all the accents including the deep Scottish sexy brogue of Gabriel which was de......lish.....ous.

Azrael's story is next who's a dark brooding Vampire as well as an Archangel who only wears black - so I can't wait. I just hope HKW will give us a happy ending for Sam too.

Worth a credit? Err let me think? YES YES YES !!!

Not Heavenly, but close

This is the second book in the Lost Angels series, and I enjoyed it. The Angels' stories are quite intriguing and rather well written for this type of book. My only problems really is that nearly the entire first half of the book contains very little interaction between the couple this romance is supposed to be about. Instead, it focused on "the bad guys", the history of the couple in the last book, the "we don't know if he's a bad guy or not" character, and the hero and heroines relationships with everyone but each other. These books are just very busy, with more bad guys and "maybe bad guys" than clearly good guys.

However, the second half of the book is much better. There were many surpises, twists and turns on the way to the predictable "happily ever after" for the couple. All in all, these books are worth a read if you enjoy paranormal romance, and I certainly do.

Already downloaded the next book!!

Book one intrigued me and so I went and got book 2 now I am so glad I did! All the characters are well written and introduced. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat, when you think you know what's going to happen there's a little twist and that twist builds on more and more. People this is not like any other "angels" book.

LOVE LOVE this series!

Stacia Kane can do no wrong in my book. Man this series just grabs you by the balls and will not let go! This review will be hard to write without spoilers; thats for sure. (The only reason Chasing Magic didn't get a the full 5 stars is that I felt like Chess back peddled some in her relationship with Terrible and I feel like they are solid and she should be over some of her self destructive ways. So I have high hopes that we will see a new an improve Chess in the next book.)

Terrible equals awesomeness. He is the best male character Ive read since Karen Marie Monings Barrons. He is exactly what Chess needs in her life. He is strong but can also be sweet and kind but Chess is the only one that gets to see that side of him. These two complete each other (yes that is the most freaking cheesy thing to say about these two but its the Truth. And Truth is Fact and Fact is Truth. Dig!)

Ive send it before and Ill say it again; I have a love/hate relationship with Chess. And in Chasing Magic I wanted to freaking killer her in one part. (Those that have read it know what part Im talking about) All I could think was that botch better not hurt Terrible again. But Chess pulls her head out of her sorry ass just in time and I loved Terribles reaction to the guilt he saw on her face.
