Great Bargain

I thought why not when I saw this selection listed. it's price 1.95 made it worth the chance. It certainly was. Jennifer Canfield is in traffic headed for work when she sees the hand of a child extended from the trunk of an old beater. Impulsively she follows the vehicle and the adventure begins. Jennifer; a victim of sexual abuse as a child compulsively follows the car through the city onto the highway and into the mountains. Going through a construction zone a highway worker named Stephen joins her and they continue the chase together. The chase leads to more than one confrontation with the kidnapper. The ending of this novella is ambiguous and leaves open the chance for a typical romance novel to follow.

Good Solid Suspense Story

So this audio book is priced at $2.09 and at a little over 3 1/2 hours I figured why not! I'm glad I took a chance, good audio quality, fantastic narrator, and a solid story, can't quite figure out why its in the romance section, because it really is a suspense novella. go ahead a buy it if your looking for a good short story that really feels like a novel, because the writer Carolyn Nash is so descriptive. Keep on writing Carolyn, I'll look for more from you!

I think I have read all her books! I do know for sure that I have read all the Tracers books! Great reading!

Below expectations

What disappointed you about Far Gone?

I really liked the earlier books by Laura Griffin and was looking forward to Far Gone. However, although I can understand that the heroine is frightened of relationships, proud, feels responsible for her brother and all happens very quickly, I often hoped for a more professional conduct by her (since she works as a detective, too). The end, after the showdown, also seemed rushed to me.

I also had problems with the narration. At the end of the sentence, often the voice of the narrator went up instead of down or stayed the same. Furthermore, I had difficulties discerning the parts presented from the perspective of the main heroine, Andrea, from those of another main female character, Elizabeth which was sometimes confusing until the name of the person doing s.th./thinking s.th. was mentioned.

Would you recommend Far Gone to your friends? Why or why not?

The suspense plot with this idea of home terrorism was quite good. I also liked the hero.

Would you be willing to try another one of Candace Thaxtons performances?

I hardly made it past the first hour before giving up. It hopscotches all over the place and did not engage me enough to want to figure it out.

Painful narration

This story of homegrown terrorism isn't necessarily terrible. It lacks character development and more details to make the plot stronger and pull in the reader. The real shame is the narration. The narrator's cadence throughout the book ruins everything. The inflection at critical parts was completely off and made the exciting parts flat and rushed. Truly irritating.

held my attention

At first I thought a story with a sixteen year old main character would not be captivating - boy was I wrong - take a chance and curl up for a great read!

Do you like any kind of mystery books? Well if you do the perfect mysterious book to read is Too Many Secrets by Patricia H. Rushford. It is a fiction book, it is about Jennie McGardy and her grandma who get's kidnapped. Jennie tries to save her.

The book Too Many Secrets is related to the title. They kidnap the grandma because they put the diamonds on her bag because they were about to get caught by the police so they put it in her bag. They were looking for her and they finally found her so they kidnapped her and Jennie McGardy her granddaughter was trying to look for her.

The book is very interesting because this book shows that you can do or find whatever you want if you are really determined to do it. It also tells true love for a family.

The book is a combination for love of family and also mysterious. I like the book because it is mysterious. I really like mysterious books. It is a good book that you will love when you read it!

A mystery and romance twist!

Too Many Secrets is a fabulous book by Patricia H. Rushford! It's main charcter is Jennie McGrady, a 16 year old girl whose father disappered, a mother whose dating another guy and a 5 year old brother Nick. It's about Jennie suspecting that her grandmother is missing or had been kidnapped and went in search of her. While she's searching for her, Jennie's relationship with Ryan, a boy who lives next door to her grandmother's, grew. Together, Jennie and Ryan uncover devious plots, friends that are foe and puts their life on the line in order to save Jennie's grandmother. I recommend this book to readers that like a good mystery combining romance! It is a great book that truly outlines problems of life. This is a Christian book, though I am not Christian, I still found this book real thrilling. Way to go and keep on writing Patricia Rushford!

It was very thrilling; something new was always happening

In the book "Too Many Secrets" there was a lot of suspense going on. It made me want to keep reading until I knew what resolved the problem, but then another problem came up and just kept on reading until I was done. This isn't a boring Sherlock Holmes story, it's upbeat, in the 90's, and always keeps you on your toes. I strongly suggest you read this, even if your not intrested in mysteries this is the book for you!

Waiting for the other shoe?

The truncated ending of this piece was both frustrating and disappointing. There was SOOOO much left to the imagination of the reader - - disappointing from a talented author.

Club is Still Private

Meg continues her story with Greyson.

When we last read about Meg, she was pushed into a darken room by a man who was forcibly keeping Meg quiet while they eavesdrop on Greyson's phone call. Greyson was mentioning he needs to get rid of a very nosey girl who is applying for a job at his company. Meg is certain he is talking about her. When the phone call is over she recognised the male who pushed her into the room as one of the security guards (David). He wishes to use Meg to get information on Greyson. She makes no commitment.

Meg heads to the showers and Greyson surprises her there shortly there after. The rest of the book seems to have taken place in the shower with people coming and going. Meg continues to question Greyson about his position in his company and what exactly is going on.

At the end Greyson just tells Meg there is nothing she can do, it's already been done when Greyson's secretary runs into his office and said "two are refusing to go." It appears that Patsy did not read the room to see who else was there and put Greyson in a bad position.

So is this finally the clues Meg needed to close Greyson (and Brandon) down? Well this is a trilogy and this is book 2 of 3, so we need to move on to find out.

it is a be very intriguing story. I really enjoyed it! I couldn't wait to see what happens next.

A-MA-ZING! I absolutely LOVED Kash & Rachel!!

I love a book with all my favorite qualities!! Love, sex, suspense, angst, witty banter, smexy times with a tattooed lip ring wearing alpha god, and of course pancakes & sour patch kids all wrapped in one beautifully written package! The book really sucked me in until the very end. However, I wasn't happy to find a BIG fat cliffhanger!! A cliff-hanger that left me wanting the next book immediately!Anyways, moving forward...

Rachel is in her last yr of collage trying to overcome a traumatic experience when she meets her new neighbor. Logan Kash is working undercover with his partner Mason, when a case goes bad they find themselves in Austin working a new case with new identities. On this new assignment he and his best friend /partner Mase have to catch a serial killer and they need to stay focused, but all he can think about is the feisty, long-legged coed who lives across the hall. She's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen hands down and all attitude but he loves it.Kash & Rachel start off with a rocky friendship that quickly turns to love. absolutely brilliant!!!

So good, excellent. tmThe music at the beginning and end fit so well too. I really love this series.

So awesome

I really loved this, especially by the end. I read the first book in the series, and it was fine. I started the second book out of curiosity about the cliff hanger from the first one, but didn't expect much. This second book was GREAT. The story is darker, I found it more mysterious and complex, and I really liked winter in Victorian London as the backdrop rather than the island in the first one. The reader does a great job, and holds her own with the different accents, although they're not flawless. I never got frustrated with her voice like I do with a lot of other readers, and she represents Juliet well, and reads all the characters with consistency. She also puts emotion and depth into lines that I may not have picked up reading on my own.

The love triangle was less annoying in this one than he first book, both love interests were more complex and depthy, and I actually found myself a little torn between them, unlike the first book. The reason I gave the story 4 stars is since it's a YA novel, I feel like it's a little simplified. If this was written for an older audience, I think it's potential could be through the roof.

Really really enjoyed it overall, will be getting the third one.

Please, a little less drawl, it's way over the top! Otherwise great book and even better series.

I hate to hear someone try to talk with a southern accent . Narration would be so much better, if they read without that obviously FAKE accent!

Good Story,Bad Narrator

I continue listening to this series because I enjoy the story and the characters. However, the narrator's depiction of the male characters' voices is awful and her attempts to distinguish the female characters fails. Worst of all is what the narrator obviously believes is a southern drawl and it is horribly done, as is the attempts at depicting the "snooty upper class women."
