Great North Side Nostalgia

This was a fun look at 1921 everyday Chicago, walking down the same streets we know today but wondering who went before us and how they lived their lives. Ringing the electric bell instead of knocking on the door....

Could not finish

I tried to read this book but I couldn't get into the story. It seemed to drag and not hold my attention. Perhaps someone might like this type of book but I did not.

I think Paul and Mabel Thorne's child wrote this

At first I thought this was part of a series of books following Detective Dave Morgan but as I listened (audiobook) Detective Morgan takes a back seat to Marsh and is shown by the end of the book to be pretty incompetent. They might be able to pass this off as a children's mystery much in the way of a Hardy Boys Mystery.

The characters are great as are the stories

Very clever indeed. I could not put this book down. That's what happens when you

open up a book written by Giacomo Giammatteo. The characters are great as are the

stories. This one was particularly clever and I really liked the inclusion of the pictures.

Well done Giacomo. Looking forward to the next book.

It reads more like a rough draft

I am sorry to say it but this simply was not up to par. It reads more like a rough draft. There were a couple of pages here and there that came together well, but for the most part I was very disappointed.

Another great book!

As usual, I couldn't put it down. Very well written with great detail and imagination. I look forward to the next great book.

Good read

Always writing outside the box

Giacamo Giammatteo is very well known for the brilliant imagination that keeps readers guessing and glued to the pages with every new release. This book is no exception. If anything, it steps even farther away into uncharted territory and provides a fresh, satisfying plot with many wicked twists and turns. I absolutely recommend this.
