    Publisher's Summary:
Bond Team have a lot on their minds. Not only are they about to get their exams results, they're also caught up in Spy High's investigations into terrorism at the Solartech power plant. And while Lori, Jake, and the others may be freaking out about the exams, their discoveries at Solartech are way more worrying. Because Bond Team have uncovered a plot that's going to make those exam results seem pretty irrelevant. In fact, it's going to make everything pretty irrelevant. Because humanity is about to be wiped out, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.
    Editorial Reviews:
"Bond Team", a group of super-intelligent, super-talented, super-quirky young impresarios, is assembled at "Spy High", a high school devoted to training would-be secret agents in the year 2064. Spy High is like a mix of Police Academy and Hogwarts.
Performed by Sean Mangan in a mature American voice that sounds like it could belong to Bond Teams principal, this audiobook - The Annihilation Agenda - is the sixth and final installment of the Spy High series. It concentrates on a terrorist plot at the Solartech Power Plant which our able teens must foil...all while studying for final examinations.

    The Best Kindle Option Available
I took a gamble on buying this edition when no one had reviewed it yet. I tried several other Kindle editions available and had found them truly appalling in terms of formatting. This however, is significantly better, featuring well structured chapter breaks and all the original illustrations, which enhance the story a lot.
Furthermore, considering it contains both books, plus the excellent Hunting of the Snark, it is a fantastic price.
However, there are still some glaring mistakes, such as some formatting bugs in a few of the poems and spelling errors in places (such as at the start of Looking Glass, where some of the Ls are replaced with 1s - I guess a scanner did the 'writing here').
5 stars for the great price and superior formatting over the other options. -1 star for the glaring lack of proof reading from the publisher.
    Good book
A classic children's book that never gets old. I bought it for my daughter and we read a chapter every night. The only issue I have is that it's a little smaller than I expected, but that's okay.
    Fun and ridiculous, as intended
Playful poetry may be more amusing for adults. In any case I finally learned about the Boogum. What fun! Theres some discussion that there is a hidden message in his poem. If so, I admit to it being way over my head!
    Italicized Text?!
I really wanted to like this--the original illustrations are beautifully reproduced--but bizzarely, half the books are italicized in their entirety, making them pretty much unreadable. If this were fixed, I'd give this 5 stars.
    Outstanding, of course.
There is nothing for me to add to the mountains of praise already out there for this masterpiece of nonsense literature â arguably the finest sustained piece there is, with only William Gilbert and Thomas Hood to rival it.
As the Victioran languge is sometimes a little dated, readers might care to go instead for Martin Gardnerâs Annotated verion that explains everything in detail (too much detail for some tastes).

Title: The Marvelous Land of Oz
    Author: L. Frank Baum
    Narrator: Liza Ross
    Format: Abridged
Length: 2 hrs and 38 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 02-18-09
    Publisher: Naxos Audiobooks
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 3 votes
    Genres: Teens, Ages 11-13
    Publisher's Summary:
Some people do not know that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was actually the first of a 13-story series. The Marvelous Land of Oz, the second story, brings the Scarecrow and the Tin Man into new adventures in the Land of Oz. In this story, which is as equally entertaining as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the Tin Man and Scarecrow are persuaded to help out a young boy who finds himself in difficulty. There is also flying furniture among the oddities.
    Editorial Reviews:
Liza Ross capably handles the many characters in Baum's sequel to The Wizard of Oz. She develops a voice and sensibility for each character and adapts her voice for quick-moving dialogue and nonstop adventures. Ross depicts a youthful Tip, a boy who lives with his guardian, the witch Mombi. The witch brings to life Jack Pumpkinhead, whom Ross incarnates with a voice as stiff as the squash-headed figure's unbending legs. Threats from Mombi send these unlikely heroes to the Emerald City, where they unite with the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman to recapture the city from an all-girl army. New characters join the familiar ones, all of whom Ross imbues with appropriate vocal qualities.

    Love Von Draanan's books!
My nephew went through all of the Shredderman books over the summer (he's 7.)
-- He loved them and was totally engaged in them, always trying to predict what would come next. They are also very funny books and we laughed a lot when we read them.
-- I loved those books because they fill a difficult niche in books. Between easy chapter books and the 9-12 year old shelves. While they are challenging, our second grader can read them if he pays attention. I typed about 250 words into Word and checked the Flesch-Kinkaid Grade Level. They come in around 3.5; that is roughly third grade level. I've found it very hard to find books that seems like a real book and tell a great story and still are at a good level for a kid whose not ready for full kids novels. If your kid is stuck in the empty zone between the easy chapter books and the more advanced 9-12 aged books, these are great.
-- We started the first Gecko and Sticky book the other day, and we are laughing every bit as much as with the Shredderman books, and he's just as involved in the story. I'm glad there are a bunch of these books. I think we'll be reading them for a while.
-- We read these on the Kindle, and the pictures are very well rendered and very nice. It's a great Kindle book for kids.
    Five Stars
    Fun books
    No regrets...treasure of a story.
Exactly as offered...perfect condition. Story is wonderful during long commutes with impatient kids.
Awesome Series of books...Can't wait for the next one coming out in Jan 2010
My 9 year old son absolutely LOVES these books. It's supspenseful adventure & also hilarious. My son read these really quickly...couldn't put them down. Of course, my son loves lizards and has a pet leopard gecko, so he can really relate to this character too. We can't wait for the next installment coming in Jan 2010. :-)
    Five Stars
Very good! My eight yr old son loved it!

    Format: Unabridged
Length: 6 hrs and 40 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 10-29-08
    Publisher: Bolinda Publishing Pty Ltd
Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 4 votes
    Genres: Teens, Ages 11-13
    Publisher's Summary:
Follow the fast-paced action adventure of six kids as they are thrown into Deveraux Academy - the underground training ground for young secret agents whose job it will be to stop megalomaniacs and terrorists which threaten the world.
It's utterly forbidden for students to leave the Deveraux College grounds - except on official Spy High business. The punishments are legendary and no one has gone AWOL in living memory - until Jen. Jake's convinced it has something to do with her murky past on the streets of L.A. and persuades Bond Team to mount a search. But instead of Jen, all the trainee agent finds in Undertown L.A. are rival gangs dealing in a deadly new drug known as Drac. Drac is instantly and horribly addictive, turning users into pumped up zombies with an alarming desire for fresh blood. It's going to take all of Bond Team's training to stay alive long enough to locate Jen, and - more than that - to shut the dealers down.
    Editorial Reviews:
Audiobook number three in A. J. Butcher's series on teenage secret agents-in-training features Jennifer Chen, who becomes the first student in Spy High history to leave campus on her own (very dangerous) mission. When the Bond Team sets out to find her, they uncover a new drug sweeping Undertown, LA - Drac, an instantly addictive substance that gives users a craving for blood. The team must figure out a way to stay alive long enough to find Jen and shut the dealers down. An enjoyable fast-moving, action-packed tale, expertly narrated in Sean Mangan's dramatic baritone.
    Critic Reviews:
"Exciting and well-plotted ... will definitely appeal to teens who enjoy fast-paced action adventures." (Education Oasis)

    Serpent Scenario Review
Why hasn't Spy High: Mission 3 The Serpent Scenario won a Newberry Medal award yet? The book is an engrossing tale of espionage packed with kung-fu action: this book is as absorbing as a match between world championship fighters! In constant battles, Bond Team deals blow after blow to its enemies. Yet the continuous combat never breaks the smooth flow of the author's plot and language. The story moves forward quickly as Jennifer Chen, a member of Bond Team at Spy High, attempts to avenge her family's murder. It swiftly continues when she dies and Bond Team vows to avenge her death. The author also always manages to maintain a suspenseful mood, but the story is particularly suspenseful when Jen must battle Talon, her arch rival and the murderer of her family. The author also includes descriptive poetic language that is sure to leave any reader feeling as if he is living the experience firsthand. For example, when describing Undertown, Los Angeles, the area where Jen grew up, the author writes: "[The moon] hung low in the night sky, as if it hardly had the strength to keep itself from falling, and it had the sickly paleness of an invalid." (pg. 3). Anyone who likes spy books must read The Serpent Scenario; it's bound to satisfy even the most fastidious reader. I give Spy High: Mission 3 The Serpent Scenario a perfect 5 out of 5.
Spy High Mission Three: The Serpent Scenario
A teammate of Bond team, Jennifer Chen, has always hated a gang called the Serpents, especially their leader Talon, since they killed her family.
