Title: A Fynn Young Series Three Book Set
Subtitle: Absolving Evil, Heart of a Wolf, and Alpha
    Author: Ann Riley
    Narrator: Amanda Goolsby
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 7 hrs and 24 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 07-25-16
    Publisher: Ann Riley
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 3 votes
Genres: Mysteries & Thrillers, Supernatural & Paranormal
    Publisher's Summary:
My name is Fynn Young. Fynn is pronounced as it sounds F-I-N-N. I live in Mississippi in a small city called Tupelo.
I was born in 1901. If you guessed my age to be 114 years old, you are correct. So how am I still alive? I am a female wolf shifter. I was born in 1925. When I was 24 years old, I learned I had a unique gift: I could change into a black wolf. I will forever look as though I am in my early 30s now. Being a shifter is something I have struggled with for 90 years. Coming to terms with it, I mean. I live in the South and I haven't come into contact with any of my kind but once, and he was no help. I don't want to live in a pack, although they say packs are healthier and are more adjusted. I don't have very much information as far as being a wolf shifter. I don't know anyone else like me. So while I do my tracking, I also look for people like me who can hopefully answer my questions.
I do know a little about what I can do. I can shift anytime; I don't need a full moon. Silver does hurt very badly and will kill a shifter if it isn't treated immediately. I don't kill humans when I shift, I hunt for small game animals. I do love dogs. I actually have a dachshund named Riley. And as far as I know, there is no cure for lycanthropy. When I shift, I transform into a 110-pound female wolf with hazel green eyes and thick dark brown, almost black, fur.
I chose to use my curse, as I call it, for good. I track down missing people. People who may be missing by choice, or who may not be. I also track children who are lost, kidnapped, or are runaways.
I work alongside my trusting companion Riley, and two other friends.
    This is our story.

Full of Southern Charm and Sass!
What made the experience of listening to A Fynn Young Series Three Book Set the most enjoyable?
Going on a supernatural ride based in the south, where I'm from!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
    it's definitely intriguing!
Which character as performed by Amanda Goolsby was your favorite?
The main character. It's very easy to imagine yourself as part of the pack.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Southern werewolves with a sassy bite!
    Any additional comments?
This is a great start for a budding writer. As Ann Riley keeps writing, I know her talent will continue to improve. I look for to less "I said" or so and so "said" in future books. The narrator did a good job with the accent.
Not a bad story line, a few things that bugged me.
Would you try another book from Ann Riley and/or Amanda Goolsby?
Yes, the story line is pretty decent and they're shorter stories compared to what I normally read so they are good to get me in to something a little different than normal.
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Didn't really have a favorite
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Amanda Goolsby?
I don't listen to many books so I don't feel that I can answer this due to a lack of knowledge of narrators.
Did A Fynn Young Series Three Book Set inspire you to do anything?
    Not really
    Any additional comments?
My biggest complaint about this series is that it sometimes feels like the story was being pushed to the back burner to get the sex scenes in.

    Publisher's Summary:
Conversations with the Dead is a themed trio of very short stories - yes, three very short stories - perhaps better described as anecdotal tales with a spooky twist.
In "Of Ghosts and Ghouls", Kelly is a very naughty girl, and her ill deeds have grave consequences. In "The Unwanted Birthday Gift", Mary discovers the unpalatable truth about her family. And in "Tomorrow Waits for No Man", Luke gets stuck in traffic with an unusual passenger.

    Spooky Stories with a Twist
Conversations With The Dead is a perfect book for Halloween. Three spooky stories with dire, spooky ending with a twist for each of characters who is an unbeliever of the supernatural. For anyone who wants a short story to entertain at a campsite and especially for Halloween, this is the book.
The narrator, Lauren Ezzo is the perfect narrator for this audiobook. She has narrated three short stories with wonderful voice for the characters and for the twist at the end of each story.
I was given this audiobook by the author and voluntary write a review for this book. I was not compensated or influenced in any way for writing this review.
    Spooky
All three stories are spooky and sometimes scary. Each of them have surprise endings, which makes you want to listen to the end. Well written, nice and short, easy to listen to
Fun ghost stories just in time for Halloween
What made the experience of listening to Conversations with the Dead the most enjoyable?
These are short, fun, ghost stories--just the sort of thing my friends and I used to try to scare each other with when we were teens. Dim the lights to set the mood, then settle in to enjoy a bit of spooky entertainment.
I thought the first story was the scariest, and the last story was the most surprising. The middle story, "The Unwanted Birthday Gift," was probably my favorite though. More bittersweet than scary, it's a nice change of pace between the other two stories.
    Any additional comments?
The narrator does a fine job. Her pronunciation is clear, her pacing is appropriate, and I had no trouble distinguishing between the different characters.

    A gripping Supernatural Thriller
After the death of Gods previous bounty hunter, Victor McCain has now become Gods new bounty hunter called the Hand of God. Victor is tasked with tracking down and killing all kinds of evil. Book 2 can be read/listened to without having read/listened to book 1. Author, Tony Acree works a lot of biblical references and research into his writing. The story is fast paced and intense. Its the kind of book you will want to finish in one reading/listen. Afterward, you will want to pick up the other books in the series.
Finally, this audio book was provided by the narrator at no cost in exchange for an honest review courtesy of Audio Book Boom.

    Even better than the first!
I really enjoyed this book! Lots of action and excellent pacing! I've already bought the third book! woo!
    The Watchers
    Any additional comments?
Entertaining and engaging but unusual and creepy. Very enjoyable supernatural thriller. The story pulls you in immediately and never lets go until the end. Full of action, suspense, mystery and much more. Definitely worth your time.
I did not read the first book in the series. Even though this is the second book in the series I had no problem at all following the story. Definitely can be read as a stand alone.
Interesting cast of characters. Yes, the story has a religious undertone, but it's not a preachy undertone, it's just the backdrop for the brother vs. brother/ good vs. evil setup of the story. One brother works for Satan, the other for God.
His brother Mikey is one of Satan's top lieutenants. Victor is the hand of god. As he says, He's kind of like God's bounty hunter. How's that for strained family relationship.
Steve Rausch did a really good job with the narration. This is the first time I have heard him narrate an audiobook. Nice voice. Easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken. Smooth even pace. Good character voices. He did a great job of bringing the characters and story to life. Very enjoyable.
I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher.
    Weird and creepy
Lots of action, weird and creepy. Loved it. Just my kind of book. Couldn't put it down.

Now, the peninsula has become an island, dwindling slowly around him, empty of everyone and everything except Norman, the ghosts of his most infamous villains, and his slowly dismantling psyche. In the end, Norman learns that no one deserves a happy ending. Everyone borrows from the dark. And eventually, inevitably, the dark collects.

    Another Clever Achievement
This was a clever story from one of my favorite authors. If you have read any of G. Norman Lippert's more popular novels books you will certainly enjoy Misery Bay as he brings together a fictional version of himself and his most evil villains.
The rhythmic pace of the story mirrors the speed of the main character's bike ride. My own breathing changed as I turned each page along with the main character, a physical experience few authors can pass on to their readers. The way Mr. Lippert expresses both physical and emotional feelings through his writing in conjunction with a good story keeps me come back to his books for more.

A supernatural thriller with a vigilante twist.
They say suicides are damned for eternity. But if possessing the bodies of violent criminals is Hell, then Dan Jenkins will take it. And he does every time a portal arrives to whisk him from his ghostly exile.
Dan rides the living like a supernatural jockey, pushing out their consciousness and taking over. He doesn't know where their minds go while he's in charge, and for the most part doesn't care. He's just happy to live again.
Normally, before the villain returns to kick him out, Dan dishes out a final serving of justice and leaves the world a safer place. It's one of the rules if he wants more rides, and he's happy to oblige. For a part-time dead guy, it's a pretty good gig.
    And then he meets her.

One of the greatest narrations I have ever heard..
    Any additional comments?
Riveting story by a great writer, naturally that is where my Amazon review was focusedthe remainder of this review will be an attempt to describe how picture-perfect narration and near flawless audio production brought the story and characters in this novel to life.
I have 70+ audiobooks and I never write reviews, but this performance is unquestionably one of the greatest narrations I have ever heardwith the likes of Frank Muller, Barbara Rosenblat and Stephen Fry. The vocal performance transformed spoken work into a movie reel playing inside my head. I have read books I couldnt put down, but this is the first audiobook that engrossed me enough to lose sleep over until I was finishedat 2:45 AM to be exact.
I am eager to discover more of Steve Phelan's narration work online, or for his next audiobook release. Right now I do not see other audiobooks under Steve Phelans hyperlink (on Audible at least). For me, narration really is what makes all the difference. You need the story AND the storyteller to create a masterpiecethis audiobook has both. Truly a work of art.
    Excellent!
Love the story! What a great idea. This is a series I'll be following for sure. Can't wait until the next one is out. Narration by Steve Phelan is perfect! He brought this character to life! Worth the credit or the price. You won't be disappointed!
    couldn't stop listening
Dan Jenkins suicide didn't get him out of his so called cruddy life, well I guess it did get him out of his life, but not the lives of those he gets dropped into. Some were really bad guys that deserve to die, others just need a push in the right direction, either way, in time Dan would get kicked out of the body and dropped into another. But these lives are always a living hell for Dan until he gets the assignment of a lifetime.
John Monk took a really interesting turn on a old subject and wow how did he add so much action and humor. This book is really good and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens to Dan next. I had the audiobook narrated by Steve Phelan who did a great job with all the different characters and made the story awesome to listen too. The characters in the book are very realistic and the story moves at a great pace that will keep you page turning or in your car (or on the treadmill) listening. So whichever way you choose to enjoy this book it won't let you down.
    Creative, well-written and enjoyable
When Dan was a confused college kid having issues with his girlfriend, he committed suicide.

    The haunted Halls
What made the experience of listening to The Haunted Halls the most enjoyable?
The setting is an old hotel, the Burton Inn, that housed shadows and secrets before the birth of the cold entity that calls the Burton Inn home. Those shadows remain as this Ice Queen strengthens her presence enough to trigger her endgame, rebirth.
    Meh....
Unfortunately it wasn't for me. I have to say that I felt very meh... about this story. I think it was the fact that I really and truly didn't connect to any of the characters, nor did I care who lived or died!! Maybe it's just me but I found very little character development and if I can't connect with a single character, then the overall book just doesn't gel. I got to 80% by pushing myself and had to admit defeat and put it aside.
Narration wise, Joe Hempel was amazing. his voice was easy to listen to and so versatile! He knows how to tell a good story and I look forward to listening to more from him.

Now producers have come up with an all-new show set in a haunted castle in Golden, California. Georgia and nine other contestants will need to solve the mystery of a young woman who disappeared at the castle in 1960. Except there's one rather substantial problem waiting for everyone when they arrive: a groundskeeper is found drowned at the bottom of the castle's empty pool. A former cop and her boyfriend go on another reality tv show and chaos ensues. Great mystery that keeps you guessing at every turn. Looking forward to the next book.
    And interested read
I like that it was a contest and kept you hanging. out sometimes drug and didn't produce enough excitement. It had a good story. tremind of a TV program instead a book. It lprove to be a very interesting book.
    Mushy and fake. Ugh!
Poorly written and easy to guess. Not good. I would not recommend this book. I won't be reading any of the other books. So lame!
Fans of this series will be delighted
    Dollycasâs Thoughts
Georgia and Scott are appearing on their 3rd reality show, Cold Case in the Castle, where the task is to solve an old murder in a creepy, old, dilapidated castle. Each day a couple is eliminated and hopefully at the end the winning couple solves the cold case. Of course the producers never imagined some new murders would take over the show and place the contestants in danger. Georgia finds herself trying to solve them all.
Fans of realty shows will be delighted with this series. In the first book, A First Date with Death, it was like The Bachelorette. The second, A Second Chance at Murder, was like The Amazing Race, this time it is like the short lived series, Whodunnit?, with a little bit of Ghost Hunters thrown in.
Diana Orgain has given cozy readers another fun story. At first I was a little tentative about the setting but this mansion/castle with its interesting and at times dangerous floors, rooms, and hiding spaces turned out to be a perfect place. The grounds also added some interesting areas.
She has brought back Becca, Cheryl, Kyle, and Georgiaâs father, Gordon, and introduced a variety of new characters in the cast and crew. We also meet the head of the historical society who is not happy to have all these people traipsing around âherâ property. Each personâs personality comes through clearly and realistically.
In addition to the murder mysteries to solve, Scott and Georgia are having a bit of trouble in their relationship, Becca meets someone new, and Cheryl and Gordon are still an item.
I really enjoy the way Ms. Orgain writes. All these books in this series have a brisk pace and there is always something happening. This one was a little bit shorter but readers are not shortchanged. She has packed these pages full.
