Life Changing

This book was well written. I bought the audio and listened at bed time. Kay's voice reassured me and lead me to New choices. Knowing what she had been through and having had some like experience s myself made it personal. Read this book.

Kate is a very good and exuberant reader and I like how she personalized it and brought us through what she has gone through in her life to make it more real. I really enjoyed this book. Hearing how the Lord drew Bilquis into moment by moment obedience was a wonderful reminder of the way the Lord works in our lives. The story also caused me to long for that time in my life when the Lord was so very near.Have you been lulled into spiritual contentment by the cares of the world? Bilquis' testimony will awaken a new desire for that fresh closeness we so often lose over time. Her story, however, tells the tale of a life that only drew closer to Him as the years passed. It is also a story of the faithfulness of God to reach those who long to know the truth.

Tedious

This is like listening to someone read from one of those 'Page-a-Day' calendars, but without the passion. The narrator sounds like a pleasant young man who was given a reading assignment. For example, when he introduces each day's reading, he gives a brief biographical note on the author of the quotation and then -- without changing his inflection to indicate that he is now quoting the author -- he instantly transitions into the quotation itself. To say that it is distracting is an understatement. Jarring would be a better word. The quotations are mostly interesting, but the book is not meant to be read (or listened to) for more than about 5 minutes at a time -- the quotation of the day.

Absolutely authentic and accurate Christianity

If you could sum up Angels in three words, what would they be?

Billy Graham is an important Christian. Billy Graham's books are shining examples of Christian knowledge that can be trusted as accurate and authentic. The books are written, in my opinion, as sources of knowledge for new Christians, but everyone can garner information and understanding of Christianity that is based solidly on the Bible. Angel's can be useful. Even countries have guardian Angels.

I also recommend Scott Hahn's books.

Truth about the angelic realm

I loved this book and listened to it twice. It's extraordinarily interesting and meaningful with a lot of substance. The narration was excellent, too. It's a classic that's been in print a long time, and with good reason. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in real angels.

On a personal note, I want to commend Graham for being so consistently respectful and gentlemanly in his communications. As a Roman Catholic, I frequently hear disdainful remarks and misrepresentations about my Church on "religious radio." I appreciate that while Graham and I may disagree on a couple of points in this book, he shows respect for others, and even quotes Pope Paul VI in the book. Protestants who wish to "reach" Catholics might show the same kind of respect instead of engaging in rants and disparagement.

Brilliant Dr. Graham Never Fails

Billy Graham's God-breathed pen speaks to us in this enlightening book. i feel comfort knowing that God's angels are with me and protecting me. We are never alone. This helped me open my eyes and become more aware of just how much God loves us by commanding His angels to protect. I recommend this book as with any by Dr. Graham.

This book is an oldy, I first read it back in the 80's. Still good. Well read and a fast read. Not for an unbeliever though. I think they would find it fanciful.

Other than the Bible John Bevere's books should be required reading for every Christian and certainly for anyone who is in the ministry full time. His insight into scripture is phenomenal and the truth he speaks through God's Holy Word touches you to the core of your soul. You need more than one listen to unlock the wealth of wisdom in this book. So far I have listened to it three times. Each time more insight is unlocked in me and I am able to get a deeper comprehension of the truths that the Bevere points out.

I would not consider it to be better. Just accommodated for those who rather listen.

lol I want so much to speak on this, but do to non-believers I will limit my words. HEAVEN ON EARTH! All Good; literally! And we know, all good things come from heaven. WOW! Expect great things from this one, as usual with the rest of his writings. Apostle John Eckhardt,a man of God, pulls directly from the Heavenly Source. A true pleasure to know of Apostle J. Eckhardt it is indeed. I thank God for him!!!

The narrator's performance is too theatrical. It seems as though the reading and the projection of his voice is "forced" and hard-pressed. The narration does not convey the anointing of the message of the book.

Encouraging and challenging

This book helps Christians take their faith to the practical level. What is it to be a follower of Christ day by ordinary day? This book helps you answer that question and encourages you with the application of the gospel.

Content is great, narrator is poor.

Great book, especially enjoy and benefit from the first 3 chapters. Narrator is monotone and dull. Don't think I'll be able to finish listening.

Too Difficult To Navigate

What disappointed you about The Discipline of Grace?

It isn't separated into chapters.

How could the performance have been better?

If it were really separated into 18 chapters.

This book has 18 Chapters but the recording is separated into only 6 chapters. And these chapter divisions are sometimes right in the middle of a sentence. How is one supposed to make any sense out of that? Bookmarks? Well what if I'm not able to place a bookmark because I'm listening while not close to my iPad?

I have read several books by this author. I'm very thankful he chose to write what God revealed to him through the years! It is VERY helpful to have a multitude of counselors in our journey with Christ! It helps to read books written by those that are running the race and are faithful!!

Content is okay, but the reading sounds a little strange and kind of like a robot or computer most of the time.

Terrible Narrator

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I love this book and have read it in print format before. I purchased it here to make reviewing it easier. The narrator's voice grates so badly that I cannot focus on the message he is reading. I neecd to pursue a refund on this one.

Dryness...Mr. Morey does not sound interesting...very clinical.

A book well worth listening to. A true story is always better than fiction and in this case it has a strong message of hope to people who lost loved ones or who suffers from incurable disease.

Thought provoking

This story was not what I expected at all. Less about heaven, more about it's effect. It made me think and examine myself and my actions. I really would highly recommend this to anyone. It will be one that I will listen to again and again and I know that each time will reveal something new to me. Thanks Don for being obedient.
