Perfect For A Rainy Day

Great little romance book that was perfect for a rainy day like the one we just had. Didn't take long to read. What really struck me was how real the main character, Naomi, was written. I know people like her so her story was both real and believeable. Being a writer myself I can understand her struggles with both her career and love life. Let me just add it was a great ending to a great book.

The perfect companion for a cup of coffee and a comfortable armchair!

This story has everything you'd expect in a tale of 'love, betrayal and redemption'. Without giving too much away, they say that the course of true love never runs smoothly, and that's certainly the case in this novella.

If you like your romance short and sweet, you're bound to enjoy this.

An enjoyable read.

Exciting romance with interesting characters

This was a really interesting short story. The plot was well-told, the writing was clear, and the action was interesting. The author has a knack for writing believable characters, and I found myself getting emotionally involved with each one. This is a perfect quick read for an evening alone at home.

I purchased this book looking for something good to read...and I wasn't disappointed! This story is short enough to be read in one sitting, and written is such a way that you can really identify with the characters. Really good storytelling.

I'm looking forward to more books by this author.

I really enjoyed reading this book... It is pretty short so I was able to read it in one sitting which was really nice. Naomi is a great character and I like seeing how she manages in the big city of New York! I have only been there twice for quick visits but I love any story that takes place here!

Not wanting to give away any of this uplifting story, I would say the part where Grace reads the Bible.

I loved all these characters! If I had to choose... perhaps the kindly aunts :)

Definitely Grace. He performed with such feeling -- brought me to tears... but happy ones :)

The story was very believable, as you were reading it. Sofia suffered a very hard young life. If not for her faith in "The Good Lord" she would not have been strong enough to not give up. I wish the book would have been longer, but I liked it anyway.

Getting a refund

Within the first 15 minutes I couldn't listen anymore. The narrator sounded more like Strawberry Shortcake than a female operative. Truly the wrong genre for her to narrate for. The story seemed to be written well and I will finish with the e-companion book I purchased. Disappointed

Action packed

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Resolutions was an actioned packed read (or listen in my case) from beginning to end. Drug lords, undercover operatives, twists and turns, its all here.

Eve Taylor is a DEA agent working to take down drug lord and terrorist Mendoza. When things go wrong in the jungles of Columbia and Eve is captured her old flame, Resolutions Operative, Mac is called in to head the rescue mission.

Eve is strong willed and tough as nails, Mac is a total alpha male. It are these similar personality traits that tore the couple apart to begin with. Eve wanted to be in the action while Mac wanted her safe and protected. When the two come face to face again old feelings and fears which never really went away resurface. Mac and Eve must now work through their emotions and the past all while trying to take down Mendoza and ultimately survive.

If you are a fan of action packed books that this is one for you. While I did enjoy the story I felt as if the action overshadowed the romance and love aspect. I needed a bit more backstory for each character, some more dialogue and a little more softness in place of the hard action.

For those listening to the audiobook, I found the narration to be a bit stiff. I did get used to her voice as the story went on but it did interfere with the flow of the book for me.

Great Romantic Suspense!

An exciting and sexy thrill ride, Resolutions has it all: a super hot alpha male hero, a bad ass female lead, steamy sex, suspense, surprises, and a satisfying second chance romance.

I love romantic suspense, especially when our female lead is a kick ass operative who stands toe to toe with dangerous drug lords, fights alongside her sexy male counterparts (and saves their asses!), but still has a touch of sexy femininity. With their intense chemistry and rocky past, Eve and Mac are a fun couple to follow as they do their jobs as operatives and still manage to find time for some hot sex.

clean, christian, fairly well written, held interest

Story is about a widowed mother of 6, Miranda, living under a controlling pastor, Mason, who runs a cult-like church. She is in fear for herself and her children. There is a slight mystery as to all that she is afraid of giving the story a tiny bit of suspense. She endures a terrible accident leaving her disabled and unable to care for her young children. She appoints her brother-in-law, Jack, a college professor as guardian. He was previously rejected by her husband and they have been out of touch for many years.

I read most of the other reviews and thought some of the negative ones were amusing. Yes, this is a story including many references to homeschooling, but no, it's not a critique of homeschooling, that did not seem to be the purpose of the story. Yes, there may be some moral interferences drawn from the story, but primarily, to me, it seemed a story of a woman who has endured much and is trying to keep herself and her family sane and together and protect her 6 beautiful children. It is her journey out of the restrictive control of the men in her life. It is also, very much, the journey of Jack, a well-drawn and fairly complex character. It is also, to a lesser extent, the story of the children themselves. The characters were reasonably well written, Miranda' s especially to my mind. Her strength of character as she battles is remarkable. There is a romance but it seems slightly downplayed and VERY clean.

This is a clean story but there are elements that might, by some be considered for a more mature audience. I did think one reviewers comment about Jack's drinking and supposed "swearing" highly amusing. Jack isn't a prude but he is a normal man and, for the most part, his character has a great deal of love and integrity. While I personally would not bring booze into an abstaining household, it is not a sin for him to consume it himself. Their comments about his medication issue I would agree with, but it IS obvious he was trying to help, not hurt. No spoiler, you'll have to read it.

Solid 3, not more but it wasn't a waste of time to read. I just felt I've read better recently, that's all.

This was recommended by JR.Rain so I gave it a shot. It was ok. I thought a boring read. I put it down a few times and started other books then picked it back up to finish it. I have read a lot more Christian base books and they were more interesting and exciting. I think for a Christian base maybe more

bible verses should have been used and quoted to make you undersatand why Susie made the choices she made. I also thought that Susie would have suffered more of a consequence for her actions. ( Not that I wanted her to it just would have made it more exciting)
