Deeper into Grants Story

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

Grants history was still foggy when I left him in book one. He and Renata are continuing to heal using Andrés sexual therapy but when questions arise over the death of Grants father, secrets erupt that could damage everything. A great story.

Roberto Scarlato is fabulous.

Two Thumbs Up!

Book 1 was a tough act to follow, book 2 delivered

OK, so, if you haven't read book one, you really need to read it first, there's lots of information in it that adds context and history to what happens in this book.

Assuming that you have ready book one then you already know that this series deals with abuse of minors. This is challenging subject matter that can be disturbing to read for anyone, but Nikki does a fantastic job of showing the damaging results but also the possibility of healing. There is something utterly compelling in the way this book dives in, and yet does so with grace and respect.

The developing relationship between Grant and Renata is both beautiful and fascinating. Both of them are learning and healing and doing so in a way that is bringing them together.

The story has twists that I did not see coming and it held my attention from the first word to the last. I can't wait to get me hands on book 3.

The narration is very well done, the character voices are excellent and the tensions and desires in the story come across really well.

Loved listening to this!

Renata and Grant are on the way to Dallas..... I will not go into the detail about the "therapy sessions", except to assure you that they are indeed earth shattering smexy. Andre' certainly knew what he was doing when he put the "little mouse" together with the "monster." It surely seems that as Renata helped Grant, she too learned some things.... but, it's not exactly happily ever after. Not by a long shot. Do you remember that frantic phone call Grant got from his mother? ( at the end of "Abuse") Well, they did exhumed Chester Wilkinson's body, and after testing, his death is now being called a murder, and guess who the prime suspect is? ... long buried secrets will come to light. this could be bad, very bad....

Listening to this after having read it was quite an enjoyable experience. I just cant over how different It is to have someone tell you their story.

Wowow!!!! This book was amazing!!! After finishing this book it doesn't leave your mind!!! It keeps coming back. Absolutely loved it! Fantastic storyline with amazing characters. The storytelling was so in depth and developed. Gabi Moore is a genius with words!!! This book deserves more than the allowed 5 stars. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!

Because I can

This audiobook is full of twists and suspense. The first chapter immediately kept my interest and all of the action scenes in this book are done incredibly well.

Very Empowering!

This book was empowering, and a little hard for me to swallow. The author knew how bad it can be to be for some, and how is deafening it can be to go through. That's all I'm going to say about the book! She is an amazing writer, and pulls you in, where you can feel each emotion being shown. And my favorite motto, she used in her book as well, knowing The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. This is the first book I have been able to listen to because I know how the character feels. Elaine Marie has many more books that I want to read and review. She has a fan now. I believe this is a wonderful book to read it empowers, encourages and shines a light to the ones that need to hear it.

Suspenseful Mystery Romance

The story kept me on the edge from start to finish. Mousy Jenna is attacked on campus one night. Jenna has a hard time recovering, especially after the police and administration dismiss her case for lack of evidence. Jenna finally finds the courage to change her life to become stronger and more confident. As she transforms herself she is determined to find her attacker. This exhilarating story has a few twists that keep you guessing. The narrator did a good job telling the story but I felt like I needed more inflection and emotion than just speeding up her delivery. This is my first experience with both author and narrator but will definitely check out more of their work.

Very good short story

This short story was very good with mystery, tragedy and suspense romance. The narration was a little fast and the switch between characters was difficult to recognize. I received a free copy at my request.

So Strong

This was a great story of finding your strength after having your power taken away. Jenna was attacked but instead of dwelling on the fear and depression- she finds the strength to remake herself and look for not just revenge but vindication. I enjoyed the story line very much.

The narration was solid- I would have loved a bit more feeling/acting from the narrator but all in all, it was pretty good.

I Received This Work In Exchange for My Unbiased

Zoe is working out at a gym when Alexei spies her. She is strong and sexy and he wants her. She sees him and thinks the exact same thought They get together, but will such a strong woman give into Alexei's dominant tendencies?

That is the plot. Lucy Felthouse does not try to expand or deviate from this. There is no time for it listening time is less than one hour and 20 minutes. This is a quick, 'naughty' book to take your mind off the housework or running errands.

Scarlet Jackson is a wonderful narrator. I adore her accent!

All roads lead to spanking...

The story was ok - really quick and simplistic. Not quite instalust/love but close - boy and girl meet, are immediately attracted to each other from afar, go out on first date, realize they have certain proclivities in common, cut date short to play, and the story ends there. The narration just didnt work for me and there were bits where the audio was choppy and muddled sounding. 2.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Horrible production

I am shocked at the positive reviews. The book comes in at just over an hour and I couldnt finish it because of the awful narration, editing, production. The volume goes up and down, all kinds of background noise and the worst, the reason I quit listening, every time the narrator said a word containing the letter p she about blew out my eardrum. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

Good Story!

This was a good, quick and fast story. Zoe and Alexei coming together was rather quick. I wish their was more character development. Scarlett Jackson did an ok job with narration.

Nice, sweet romance story

Yes, I would say this is a good listen and would recommend it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Heart of a Hero?

I likes when they first met in the store and Michel was so stunned he wasn't able to speak right away.

Short and simple

DC Cole does a great job narrating this one. I was expecting something different from this story from beginning chapters. But, it was a short, simple listen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook Two broken individuals were able to heal themselves by finding and loving each other. Annabelle and Michel definitely deserved a happily ever after.

Loved it!

This book was a romance but it was also about redemption. There were no bad guys lurking in the background with plans for nefarious deeds. It was simply humans being humans and dealing with the consequences. Life.

Michael, the bad boy in question, was worthy and in need of redemption. He got it with Annabelle, his insta-attraction. She too was in need of redemption. They found each other and this incredibly sweet story, even with its dark undertones, gave birth to a very happy ending. Loved it.

DC Cole, who is fast becoming one of my favorite narrators, delivered in his usual swoon-worthy fashion. All in all, a great listen.

Once loved

This is a great caring and loved story. Friends and family needed to believe in helping others

Amazing!!!

I love this new series by Cecy, this is the second book in the series, the first centred around Mateo and Evie, this one is centred around Mateo's younger sister Lety and her boyfriend (an old friend of Evie's) Brody.

The story is heart breaking at times as both Lety and Brody have some serious trauma in their pasts, Lety's is similar to Mateo's given that they grew up together in the same house, but she suffered in different ways, including being shamed by the events surrounding her conception.

Brody has his own family trauma that we also learn about in the book and it may not be as extensive a history of suffering like Lety had to go through but it is heart wrenching too.

They were perfect for each other because they made each other better and healed each other's pain. The ending was bittersweet for me, I liked how things ended for Lety and Brody as a couple but was sorry that her mother never truly stood by her kids or supported them. She seemed to make a small gesture at the end but it was a case of 'too little, too late'.

I also loved the updates on how Mateo and Evie were doing, I love those two and was happy with where they were at in their relationship and their lives. A really great book and I'd recommend getting it!

Not your typical billionaire love story

I read a lot of Billionaire love (?) Stories, and all of them, to my mind are lacking, not this one though. In this one the woman is emotionally damaged and doesn't just jump into bed with him, in this one the billionaire doesn't automatically get his own way, without thought to his actions.

A refreshing change. The only part I regret and not too badly, is that I paid for the book, and not because it wasn't worth it, be cause I read so fast that I would be in the poor house if I paid for everything I read. I got up to go to the bathroom at 3:30 and just finished this at 4:20. Less than an hour for less than a dollar, hmmm.

Anyway, excellent story, and excellent characters. Thanks awfully.

By the way, I read 20+ books a week in my spare time and review every single one, I also read for a review blog, and work full-time as a litigation paralegal in family law. I am also a published author of horror works, and I proofread and copy-edit for authors on the side. That fact that I gave your book a straight read is a very real kudos to you.

His Billion Dollar Dilemma

Helen was an engineer with Bertram Industries. Simon was the wealthy businessman who bought companies, ripped them apart and sold them off for profit. Now he's after Bertram' s. There were a couple of things I didn't like. First, Helen had been sexually assaulted at age fifteen, barely escaping being raped by her brother's rescue. When she meets Simon she's dressed as an old lady, hiding her assets ever since her attack. When she finds out he's going to take her livelihood and that of her colleagues, she suddenly starts dressing like a siren to convince him otherwise. Then she panics when he tries to kiss her. Once they begin seeing each other, he convinces her to go to New York with him and present her plan to save her company to his board of directors. She is of the belief that he's on her side but he abstains from voting and the board goes against her. If he had voted her plan would have been implemented. Instead of being angry and upset, she goes back to her hotel and decides to have sex with him. Finally, at the end, something happens and Simon feels Helen has betrayed him. He overreacts without giving her a chance to explain. When he finds out he's wrong due to an extravagant hacking job by her brother, getting people to pose as federal agents, taking Simon away, intercepting him with a helicopter, it was a little too over the top.

I got into this series by loving hockey. It's so sweet and sexy but real. I now know that this author I am going to have to watch and totally keep on reading.

Super Charming Hockey Romance! Favorite of the Year!

I was charmed by this book - this adorable, sweet & spicy, and jolly good fun story. I flew through reading it the first time, and I have to plans to reread this one ASAP.

Ben Westmore has a problem. Apparently, last New Yearâs Eve he got hitched, and he has no idea to whom nor he does he remember saying any vows. Itâs the last thing he needs with the Stanley Cup right around the corner. So, heâs at the lawyerâs office for the meeting and parks his huge Hummer only to block in a sports car. The lady stuck inside said car hurdles over her center console to get out right before her hair gets stuck in a tree branch. Sheâs beautiful. The woman, however, is his faceless wifeâs lawyer -- one with an impeccable reputation for delivering a good spanking in the courtroom. And? Heâs attracted to her like none other.

Oh, screw him.

Olivia despises athletes. Sheâs done enough divorce cases for their wives. Unfortunately for her, Ben Westmore is her clientâs opposition and the man she just canât get out of her head! She blames her hormone injections. After all, Olivia wants a family of her own and to do that, she goes through insemination. Right before things heat up with Ben and sheâs caught in a web of her own making.

Oh, screw her.

I loved, loved, loved this book! The small-town community they live in constantly throws them together into the funniest scenarios. Being a small town girl myself, I could relate and I laughed as I cringed in sympathy. They try so hard to resist.

Also, I want to be Olivia in my next life. Sheâs a kick butt lawyer who goes after the child and family she wants. Sheâs so proactive even though she fears being a good mother and making the right choices. Through all of this, sheâs fighting her unlikely attraction to sweep-her-off-her-feet Ben, the hockey player. Oh, these two! Theyâre like little kids with their antics, constantly out to best one another only to entangle their emotions all the more. What could be more challenging than resisting?

But Ben. Oh, Ben! Heâs fantastic and has a heart of gold. Though he has a playerâs reputation, Olivia gets a glimpse of the kind and caring man behind the scenes. His charm, though, hits her like a freight train, and she doesnât stand a chance.
