Breaking Free

I was pleasantly surprised by this story. Its well written. Part romance and part mystery. Author Debra Doxer takes her time building this beautiful story, filled with familial angst, childhood abuse, and betrayal by those closest to you. Its the tale of a good man who tries to helps Nikki face her demons and find answers.

Sarah Puckett narrates this fully voiced production. I loved her voice and she did this book justice. I did get confused at times trying to figure out who was talking in the narrative portions. I lost track of whether it was Nikki or Coles point of view, there wasnt enough variation in the characters tone to easily tell the difference. I had to rewind some parts to figure it out. The strong story easily overcame the temporary frustration and I enjoyed this 11-hour audiobook immensely.

Romantic Suspense?

Loves a Bitch is an enjoyable if perplexing story. Its part romantic suspense and part royal heir meets and falls in love with a common girl. Two decent stories that author Morgan Leaves tries to meld together and it works! Its due in no small part to the wonderful narration by Grace Grant!

The strongest and best parts of this book are when Morgan pens the suspense portions, they are riveting and I found myself wishing for more of the romantic suspense and less of the fairy tale. Still, this 7 hour audiobook is a fun listen and Ill definitely be on the lookout for more from this fresh new author.

I believe this is a debut novel for Morgan Leaves. If she concentrates on the romantic suspense angle, I think it's her golden ticket as a writer!

Fantastic!

This one will touch your heart! You will enjoy every minute of it. Loved it!

Great book

This book tells how a widow struggles with finding her way back to being happy. This is a beautiful story about finding love again.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance.

A deep and different book

I don't think I would. The story was very different from anything I have listened to. The story was good but I did not enjoy the audio as much as I was hoping.

The ending was a little predictable for me.

Great short story

I really enjoyed this story. The narrator Terri England did an excellent job of portraying the characters in this story especially with the use of different accents. The storyline was sweet but I wished the author had elaborated a bit more in certain sections. However this was a great story to listen too via audible.

Angst and Emotions!

I love listening to books that have a good storyline. The Team of Roxy Sinclaire and Natasha Tanner always deliver this. The protectiveness that Adam has for Brooklyn from his teenage years is incredible. Being an abused child, he recognizes the same traits in Brooklyn and watches over her. Through a series of events, this couple goes through their own personal hells. To deal with the tragedies,they are separated for several years, and once again, when events take place, they are put back together. Will they be able to share their love now? You will have to listen to find out! The emotions and feels this book gives you throughout make your heart ache and then soar. You will be rooting for them and wondering what is going to happen to them next. I know that is how I was as I was listening to the book. Definite emotional ride(and some hot scenes!)

Addison Spear is a new narrator for me. I enjoyed her voice, but at times found it difficult to differentiate between characters.

A Dark Tear-Jerker MMA Romance!

I absolutely love Adam & Brooke's MMA Romance tale. I have read Roxy Sinclaire's books before & love them as they always have unexpected twists & this colaboration with Natasha Tanner meshes together creatively to create a enchanting tale. My only issue with this story is the narrative. As, I had to restart it three times as I found she spoke way to fast in the first few chapters & I couldn't understand what she was saying & it was difficult to differentiate between the character's. I absolutely recommend this novel as it wont disappoint.

Quick and dirty

Dirty Fighter is the story of Adam and Brooklyn. Opposites, until they are not. Adam falls for Brooklyn after finding out that they share certain circumstances. Then on one fateful night, they become bound together, but life keeps them apart.

While separated, Adam does become a fighter, but this is isn't a major point of the book. It almost seems like it is a means to showcase a potential for violence. However, Adam doesn't come across as a truly violent person.

Sweet Christmastime story!

Would you listen to Candleglow and Mistletoe again? Why?

I would listen to this sweet story again. It was nice to see Noelle learn to trust again. Learning to face and overcome fears is a good lesson. The handsome hero wasn't bad either.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Candleglow and Mistletoe?

There were many memorable moments in this story. I liked when Noelle stood up to her ex-husband. I also liked Noelle's return to Snowing Rock. I can't say too much without spoilers.

Which character as performed by Liz Baechel was your favorite?

Noelle was my favorite performance. If I were reading the book, I think I would have found her a bit self-centered. Liz Beachel made Noelle seem more self-protective and gave her a more compassionate feel.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I loved that the characters were complex, very real people with real issues that needed to be worked through.

Interesting

take a girl Eris who can't hold a job a friend with a startup and you find the best pairing.

Eris is a bit on the morbid side but she finds her life job in giving bad news and enjoys it.

I wish the story was a bit longer for sure but as a teaser it's great.

the narrator was fabulous, she made you want to continue to listen to rest of the story.

I was gifted this audio book and have given this review to the best of my ability.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I thought the most interesting thing about this story is the fact that the heroine, Eris, seem to not understand that she has a lot of high-energy. But also does not understand the need for boundaries. There are a lot of people that are like that and some people will call them emotionally stunted.

The least interesting thing about this story is the fact people keep encouraging Eris to be the way she is. Take for instance her brother. He keeps encouraging her to be so blunt and open and unfeeling when it comes to other people's emotions. So when somebody gets upset with Eris it seems it goes back to her childhood. The fact that everybody wanted her to do a grown-up job at such a young age.

I receive this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I did enjoy Kathy Vogel's narration. She brought Eris alive and sometimes that is very difficult to do especially when the story is only 2 hours or less long. There is a lot to cram in within that time frame and I think she pulled it off.

This story in the series is something that I do want to continue. I want to know what happens next. What happens to Eris? Will she ever get to the point where she just says stop? I don't want to hurt anybody else's feelings. Will she get to the point where she only wans to live her life and not worry about always being the person to do a job that nobody else wants to do?

She loves her job!

This book rates right up there among the top of the audiobooks I have previously listened too. This book really made me feel. I cried a lot.

What other book might you compare One Careful Owner to and why?

I haven't read/heard any other books that will compare with this book. I consider this book one of a kind. I don't think any book has made me feel as much as this book does. I was absolutely drained emotionally by the time this book ended.

Which scene was your favorite?

I think the most heart wrenching scene is when Stan dies. I was absolutely gutted. I thought for sure he was going to pull through.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I wanted to see if Alex and Dawn could overcome all of the obstacles life was throwing them. I felt very invested in their outcome.

Any additional comments?

A word of warning do not listen to this book while at work. There are parts of this book that are absolutely heart wrenching. I cried so much that I felt absolutely gutted.

You have to be a pretty amazing author when the reader feels all the highs and lows in a story and this book absolute did that to me.

Heartfelt story,beautifully delivered.

A beautifully narrated book with a story that will touch your soul.

The characters are the kind of people one would encounter in everyday life and the narrators deliver the story with passion and love.

Jane Harvey-Berrick has captured the emotions of her characters and they have been translated to audio with the utmost care.

My heart broke many times but was pieced back together by this truly wonderful story. Ill certainly be reading more of Jane Harvey-Berrick's work.

Fun and spicy

The author and narrator were new to me. This is the first erotic mystery that I have listened to. It was much more than I was expecting. I loved the mystery aspect of the story and the character development. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher.

weighing out my conflictions

With a psychotic serial killer on the loose this book was suspenseful but could have had a bit more action.

At times the intimate scenes between Summer & Nick were hot and other times the characters couldn't even say the word and referenced to it as down there.. Really!!

And what's up with Nick agreeing to forgo using condoms because he's ready for whatever consequences it brings??? but then says he's not ready for a commitment anytime soon... What??

Thank goodness they did get it together though and find a HEA ending.

This was a good listen but.. could have been great if it didn't have these contradictions.

Teri Clarke Linden did do a good job narrating for the most part but at times sounded robotic.

I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

So after wavering the pros and cons..

I don't think I would spend a credit for it. But if I caught it on sale I would buy it because if you can get past some of the cons it is entertaining.

Short, but page turning

I received this book for an honest review.

By a stroke of luck is Summer saved from a serial killer. During her attack, she hits her head. She wakes up in the hospital and can see shapes. Concerned for her safety, her brother sends his best friend, Nick, to protect her.

If you are a fan of the brother's best friend trope, this story is for you.

It was a light mystery. We did get to see the POV of the serial killer. I wish the story was a little longer. I feel like it had a lot more potential and could've explored Summer's insecurities about Nick and about the possibility of getting her eye sight back.

Overall, it was a good book. I listened to it in one sitting.

Nice Girl Naughty by Jan Springer was a good book. Summer has been blind since nineteen. A serial killer almost takes her life and her brother sends Nick to be her bodyguard. Nick is the man she has always had a thing for. I enjoyed reading their story of getting together. I can't wait to read more by Jan Springer.
