What a SWEET story with refreshingly reversed character roles! Natasha Tanner and Roxy Sinclaire did an excellent job developing both the plot and characters. It was swoon worthy!

Ryan "Temptation" Trent was hot! Arrogant! And I loved his "You Got It, so Flaunt It" attitude! He learned early on in life how to use his "assets" to make a living as a stripper. His performances are well know, and he's "honed" his skills to perfection. Ryan doesn't just dance, he works the crowd, and delivers a show that's sure to leave the lady's hot and panting for more!

Aria is a "good girl", very smart, and tries to please her parents. She's about to marry, not for love, but more so from the pressure her parents are putting her under. Before the wedding, she visits the "Big Apple" and her friends throw her a bachelorette party at a male strip club, where she receives one of Ryan Temptations personalized performances. He gets Aria's heart pounding, and she can feel the weight of his stare.

After his performance, Ryan's drawn to Aria and approaches her to just to talk for a few minutes, but as he is leaving, he tells her to "look him up" if things do not work out. Well, after walking in on her fiancé, things aren't working out, so she decides to take Ryan up on his offer. However, Ryan really was not expecting Aria to be back, and doesn't react very well. Aria decides she is not going to let Ryan get under her skin, or let her parents dictate her life anymore. She's determined to start a new life in NYC. She's off to a good start, staying with friends, getting a job, but she also realizes Ryan isn't into relationships until.

Meghan's narration was AWESOME, and her performance really brought me into the story!

She does a great job on all the different characters, and emotions. I would definitely listen to other books narrated by her!

I enjoyed this quick heart warming story of two people learning to trust, and falling in love. Ryan's story was very touching, and I felt empathy for his character. I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I don't know what it is about this book, but I just could not stop listening to it. Could it be the setting in New York? The hot male stripper? The feisty woman? The life changing events that take place? This book has a lot to offer in a short period of time. Natasha Tanner and Roxy Sinclaire bring it all to the table with Aria and Ryan.

Where does Honor Roll rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

I had previously read the book so this was a re-read as audio and I enjoy doing that for books I really liked. I was excited to see this book on audio so it ranks up there in my list of audio books.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Luca because you really got to know him and see him in this book after meeting him in The Dean's List. He really tried to be the best for Mim after meeting her and he worked hard.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend reading The Dean's List first to get to know the situations and characters. This could be a standalone but book 1 does give you more insight on his job.

The Honor Roll

I read the first book of this series, and met Luca there. tho this is book two, it can be a stand alone book. I really liked Luca. he is a smart, loving man, that struggles with his job of being a male escort. He was in need of the money, his student loans were piling up. He only had a few more months left of his job, before he was done with school, and his loans would be paid off, and he would be done with his escorting job.

Does he tell her? does he trying and hide it form her? and even worse!, her father knows what he does for a living! so much for winning the dad of his love over!

Poor Luca!

the narrator did a great job on this book. I heard him in anther story, that i didn't think he did as good of a job in. but he really brought Luca to life in this one!

It was Ok

This is Blake and Sarah's story. Blake comes home to be with his sick father and meets Sarah his father's nurse. He chases her, buys her gifts that she returns and finally tells her that she will come to him. She is not impressed by his money and she shows him that he can be loved for himself. His father dies and the family grieves and after that well you will have to listen to find out. The narrator is obviously a new narrator and has not gotten a true handle on the narration. She would be good for the story if she could just smooth it out and practice breathing techniques so she does not have to pause where a pause should not be.

I was given this book for an honest review via audiobook boom.

Potential

This book and the narrator both have potential. I would have preferred not to use stars, but it wouldn't let me. I received this book as an ARC so wanted to give the promised honest review. But, the difference for me with this book is, the story had potential. It wasn't a bad listen or story. It just seemed rough around the edges at times and not completely fleshed out. Normally it's just the opposite. Normally when I can't give high stars its because the story was bad. I really liked the idea and concept of the book. And, I loved the main female character. I rather thought our main male character was sort of creepy and a stalker. I thought her reactions to him initially were spot on. And, this character felt real in her interactions.

Same with the narrator. She was stilted at times and had a strange speech pattern. At times I think it was just the wording in the story. The sentence structure was a little strange at times. But, the main thing was the flow. The narrator sounded as though she was reading, not telling and pulling the listener into a story. BUT! Again, she has real potential. She has a great voice for narration and seemed to understand and be able to capture the essence of the characters. I think maybe they are both fairly new. But, I feel like there is real potential here. And, I'd like to read and listen to some later work as they both mature into their craft. Good effort.

good book

good book and I liked the storyline. I would have liked a more racy love scene. I will recommend this book to anyone that likes a clean romantic book.

Tough to listen through

The narration in this book was tough to handle. There were awkward pauses in the sentences that didn't make any sense. The conversations between characters didn't sound like people were talking to each other, just reading. When the woman had inflection it was whiny. The top aid sounded like a character with mental handicaps. There was a lot of time where it kinda sounded like it was given over a telephone or far away, but then just as I'd get adjusted to it, a phrase would be blurted out in what I'd call regular sound.

Superb in every way!

What made the experience of listening to UnderDog the most enjoyable?

Having listened to all of the audio books in this wonderfully written and delightfully narrated series I couldn't wait for Pinks to find his lady love because he would always strike out with the women he fell for before. I could not have wished for a better happily-ever-after for him and I absolutely adore both him and Red. This series is awesome!

What was one of the most memorable moments of UnderDog?

I loved the scene where Piper and Pinks confess their secrets to each other. The best things about this series are the close familial relationship Pinks has with all the members of the Evans family. They welcomed him into their hearts and their home and he loves them all, especially Piper, and their loving concern for each other shines through in this scene. Be still my heart!

Which scene was your favorite?

Oh my goodness, I have so many favorite scenes in Underdog, it's hard to choose but I cheered when Pinks had to come face to face with Red's father and he made such an impressive pitch for convincing Red to settle down in Henderson. Oh happy day!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

All of the books make me laugh out loud but the magnetic voice of Charles Lawrence during the sex scenes is panty-melting! I'm a huge fan!

Liz Kelly's storytelling and Charles Lawrence's narration is a match made in heaven. This series is one of my favorite not-feeling-guilty pleasures and I highly recommend it to fans of romantic comedy. It's superb in every way!

Pinks finally gets his story!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! Hearing it read out loud makes it feel like I'm watching a movie of the book in my head. Hearing the southern accent adds such a great "flavor" to the story as well.

What was one of the most memorable moments of UnderDog?

There were so many in this book! One of the most heart wrenching was when Pinks realized who Red was. He went over the entire situation in his mind about how it was all going to turn out, how he would hurt Hale, Vance and all his his friends in Henderson.

Light Christian Romance

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It is a good story with some misunderstandings to create some drama.

There are multiple POV scattered throughout the book. It makes it easier to understand what multiple characters are really feeling.

Sam gets a job working for a ranch as a cook. She thought she would be cooking for several of the workers but she has a surprise when she gets there.

The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life.

Sweet

This book has a very real aspect to it. It incorporates spirituality and obstacles to overcome. There is friendship and of course love. Great component for a good story.

Sweet story

This was quite different from Susette Williams' others books perhaps because it was in a more modern setting but definitely because it was infused with more Christian religious practices. So if this is what you enjoy, then this is the book for you.

Besides that, it is a sweet story about two people who eventually learn that good communication will help solve their problems with each other, whether these problems are real or imagined. And of course they fall in love, but you are going to have to read the book for yourself because I'm not telling you anything else.

Nancy Peterson does a very good job of the narration.

Lovely Clean Romance

This Christian romance is a clean enjoyable listen. The main characters are very endearing and the story is true to life - especially in regards to how important communication is in keeping misunderstandings in check in any relationship. The characters show and live their faith to the best of their ability, which was very touching and refreshing, especially by today's standards. Since I usually listen to books over 5 hours in length, this book was a quick listen for me. I only wish it was a bit longer so we had more character and story details, etc. but overall I would definitely call this one short but sweet!

Oh, and I can't forget the narrator. She did a wonderful job with this book!!. ;-)

Ranch romance

A prequel for what promises to be a great series. I totally enjoyed this funny romance. The sparks between Duncan and Annabelle was oh so good and their family and friends only added a dose of awesome to the book.

Playing cop

This is a great introduction to what seems to be a fun and sexy series. This two-hour prequel/Novella flew by! I enjoyed it and have added the next to my wish list.

Super sexy and fun! This story will grab you and keep you interested in the storyline and characters. I loved the relationship between the cop and the sexy debutante. Filled with lots of sexy scenes and intriguing characters this story is sure to make you smile.

This is such a fun short story! Annabell and her family are something else! I just love how the story progressed and look forward to more of this series. Great narration as well.

I love the way this book tied into the title. Second chances. There are a few in this wonderful story where we once again meet up with Kylen and Taysia from Beyond the Waves, and Reece and Marie from Caught in the Current. And now we have Justus and Dakota who are both filled with guilt for things that happened that they blame themselves for.

In this story, Justus and his friend Jalen are in town for their friend Reece's wedding. Dakota, whom he met on his last visit, is Marie's maid of honor. A storm the night he gets to town causes him to spend extra time with Dakota in the emergency room. All he wants is a date, but Dakota has heard things that keep her from accepting his offer. But as they are thrown together time after time for the days before and immediately following the wedding, they both learn great truths. About themselves, and about God.

Just saw that there will be a fourth book in this series coming out this summer and am really excited for Jalen and Riley's story. I have really enjoyed the books written by Lynnette Bonner. She has amazing talent not only as an author but in creating the gorgeous covers that her books sport. I'm glad she uses her God given talent to bring us great enjoyment for a few hours.

BRAVO a CLEAN bwwm ROMANCE story!

Applause, applause to writing a story with diversity and courting professionals. BWWM stories seem to be lumped with erotic & graphic sexual situations but, this is about 2 poeple dating that happen to be bwwm. The only unrealistic comment is the scene with the ex wife looking for money.. She would have been more crude referring to her ex 's girlfriend. Just being honest. Anyway... This is a short, sweet story and I hope Sarah Smith writes more soon. Yes it is worth the credit.

Missed the race

This is a cute story. The love and relationship happened very quick. No mention of race in the storyline. If it weren't for the cover I never would have known it was an interracial couple. Why mention it at all?
