LOVE this series!!

You just can't go wrong with a Jesse Hayworth/Jessica Andersen book. I'm not the first/only person to say that. She's one of my auto-buy authors. I anxiously await the next book she puts out. Her Nightkeeper series remains one of my all time favorites. I've never really wanted to take a vacation at a mustang ranch, but after reading this series, I'm tempted!! This is the 3rd book in the series and it's about second chances. Can you really make it work even better than it was before? Well, Krista and Wyatt did. After a journey through much heartache and challenges and lots of fun along the way, these two cross over from childhood sweethearts to adults finding their HEA. We get to see the other couples often in this book--which I LOVE--because it's also all about family. Love this series!! Can't wait for the next one--Firelight at Mustang Ridge--out in February. Jesse/Jessica rocks!! I'd recommend this series to anyone!

Sometimes Love Is Sweeter the Second Time Around....

Jesse Hayworth came up with another winner with Harvest at Mustang Ridge. She's got a nice family on a beautiful ranch in Montana and the times I wasn't wishing I could make a reservation at the ranch, I was enjoying the lovely reunion of Krista and the man who broke her heart back in college. Wyatt Webb has grown and changed a lot in the years since he selfishly abandoned Krista without a reason and when he takes a job as the head wrangler at Krista's ranch, it's obvious to everyone that the sparks are still there and it will be up to Krista to decide if she is willing to risk her heart again.

All the characters that make up the Skye family are interesting and well drawn and it's nice to see how the family dynamics play out. Their obvious love for their horses and the ranch are heart warming and make a great back drop for romance. And who says love can't be even sweeter the second time around?

A wonderful, five star romance filled with humor, romance and second chances that I thoroughly enjoyed and I'm looking forward to Firelight at Mustang Ridge coming in February of 2015!

A wonderful story

Well written story with charming sexy characters and a great story line. I read it straight through on a night I was really sleepy, and couldn't' put it down.

Title: Every Rose

Length: 4 hrs and 42 mins

Language: English

Release date: 06-18-15

Publisher: Ambleside Publishing

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 6 votes

Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Publisher's Summary:

Every Rose has its thorns....

Rose Chance is a dedicated Portland physician who loves shoes, clothes, and the finer things in life. Her colleagues call her Dr. Vogue, and she won't even look at a man unless he's rich. And preferably titled.

Her colleague, Matt Vasilopolous, is a Greek immigrant made good. He dresses like a schlep, always needs a shave, and doesn't seem to own a comb.

Rose can't stand a man who looks like a tramp. Matt loathes a woman who looks down at him. But when they're thrown together to save a life one day, and find themselves in the same wedding party the next, Rose and Matt can no longer deny the attraction between them.

With an English baronet and his stately home in the offing, though, will Rose choose the man she's dreamed of her whole life or the one her heart craves?

This is the fourth novel in the Take a Chance series of romantic comedies. All the books can be heard independently, but are also connected.

Rose & Matt

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Rose should be old enough, mature enough, to not be so judgmental of her family, her upbringing, and the men she dated. She likes different things than her family and acts likes she is superior. This story is her turning point and acceptance of her family and who she is.

Book #4, I'd Love 7 More - The Rest of The Chances

This is book number 4 in the Take a Chance series.

Rose Chance is a successful, fashionable and determined doctor- a general practitioner. She is colleagues with Matt Vasilopolous, an intense and scruffy surgeon.

Rose's father, Jack, has a medical event in her office. The doctor on call is not one that Rose has a great deal of confidence in. She tracks Matt down and asks him to find out what is wrong with her father and to perform any needed surgery. He complied.

After this event, several of Rose's family members get caught up in matchmaking her with the sexy, talented surgeon. She is not going to go for it, mainly because they are colleagues.

They find that they have mutual friends Matt & Rose are both scheduled to be part of a wedding party. After the wedding a relationship begins. Rose has laid down guidelines that are quite sterile, but meant to keep complications at bay. Their relationship hits bumps, twists, highs and lows.

My only criticism of this book would be the "fairy tale" theme throughout. Rose is a professional woman, probably in her mid to early 30s, yet she reminisces about being carried away from her family to the castle she belongs in. Near the end, up pops some information that she has been dating royalty of some sort. It all seems a bit silly and juvenile. Aside from that, this is another lovely book from the Take a Chance series. I will continue to listen if there are additional books.

Teri Schnaubelt is a professional. She gives a solid performances each and every time. This may sound a bit repetitive at this point, but she narrated all four books in the series and she is fantastic. Great job, if the series continues the author would be smart to keep Teri as the narrator.

Members Reviews:

Good

I enjoyed this book. I just wish it was longer! It a nice BDSM short story. I would have liked more back storyline, and what happened with Em's brother?

Short Show

Another short story in this series.

Bring on the next one,

I don't think it will take long to get through this enjoyable series.

Displayed....

Always a hot ride no matter the length. If you are looking for a gloomy day read to get you going this is IT! Eliza takes the reader through the chase of Em and Rio. Where games played are on the edge of a mental and emotional adventure that leaves you wanting more. If you have not read the rest of her Purgatory series this novella will pull you into the dark corners of the club and leave you panting for her Masters of Purgatory and their lil submissive ladies that keep them on their toes.

Really short

This is a great story. Em is secretive. Everyone wants to know who she is, why she wears a mask. She has her eyes on a specific Dom and she wants him to notice her. Purgatory is a sex/bdsm club. There is an auction. Really enjoyable to read, just too short, I like to have the rest of the story.

Good Novella

This was a good story. Bit shorter than I would have really liked. I would have liked to see a little more tension between the two characters, I thought this could have made an excellent novel instead of a novella. But, the story was good. It was steamy, even if a bit rushed.

I read this out of order, Amazon doesn't really seem to care to put series orders on the kindle menu. But, it was enough to make me want to go back and read the one I missed. *This hasn't affected the way I rated the book, however*

Members Reviews:

Fun and exciting too...

I received this audio book as a gift in exchange for a honest and unbiased review. This story is about a girl who visits her family for Thanksgiving and is set up to meet a man by her own family member. It all started with Pecans...

This book is witty and funny and exciting. I really like Jack and Lauren is fun too. The whole family is a hoot! Never under estimate a Grandma!

The author, Gina Henning did a fantastic job writing this story in a way as only she can, loaded with humor and excitement. She got my interest from page one and kept it throughout the entire book. The narrator, Hollie Jackson did a great job delivering this story too. I loved the multiple voices and accents. This narrator delivered another flawless read which is soothing on the ears. Great job ladies!

Romance with baking

This is the first book in the Home for the Holidays series. I read this series out of order, starting at book two, then book three. Now I have come back to the beginning to see how it all started. I have noticed the author's writing improve over the series and I'm really looking forward to book four coming out soon.

It was strange meet Jack and not like him after being totally in love with him in the following books. It took me quite a while to warm up to him in this book.

This is a fun, light chick lit read. Perfect to enjoy with a cuppa and a slice of pie. Mmmm pecan pie. Now I'm hungry again.

I listened to the audiobook edition, which I received free in exchange for an honest review. The narrator spoke clearly and at a good pace.

I loved this audiobook.

What did you love best about How to Bake the Perfect Pecan Pie?

I could relate to idea of family and holidays. Lauren's family reminded me of mine.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lauren's grandmother. I hope to be as plucky as her when I grow older.

What about Hollie Jacksons performance did you like?

Everything. She is a great narrator and I have enjoyed both books I have heard her narrate.

Any additional comments?

Lauren is home at her parents house for the Thanksgiving holiday and it is everything every family should be. There is food, laughter, unique relatives and meddling. Lots of meddling.

Members Reviews:

Looking for a good fun time, try this one

This book is hilarious, it truly will have you giggling. You will also find yourself talking back to your audio.

The book description is right on point. We have our not very competent yet extremely likable Linc who is kind of trying to find his next career after being banned from hockey. The things that come out of this guys mouth would have you turning your head in public saying "what the" but not in an offensive way. This book is not sexy, not intense and doesn't have to be categorized as a gay audiobook because it is just a good fun time with gay men involved. It is worth the money and is the 2nd Ethan Stone audio I have. Buy "In the Flesh" if you would like a better more involved listen from this author. You will listen to both of these more then once. Good job to John Solo for his narrating our wacky Linc, he does a good job on the other voices too.

My review.

In all honesty, I have really enjoyed this series and I waiting for Summer on Lovers' Island to be released. The story line was fun. It read well. I was pleasantly surprised about one of the characters in this series. I hadn't liked him before. I enjoyed the way in which the story unfolded in regards to this character. I don't want to say much more than that about the character. I could see the place where the story is based on easily. It was a great read.

Enjoyable final book in trilogy

Good read. Liked connecting with characters from other two books. Believable characters and good plotting. Nice to find new author.

Five Stars

Good book.

Five Stars

LOVE THE ENTIRE SERIES!!

great read

Two totally different people whose hearts have been broken in different ways meet to find they have an attraction. They are pulled together the chemistry between these two is powerful both afraid to reach out for many different reasons. It takes a lot to reach out and let someone new in even to give your heart on a good day. When your heart has already been broken it is even hard to give in to desire for another when you donât know how the other feels. I thought this was a great read at times it moves at a slow pace. I did enjoy it and feel lots of people with love this new book by Donna. This is a sweet touch your heart read that warms your heart by putting your faith back in love and people.

Josh is just a wonderfully sweet man who is so caring and giving. His heart along with his world was broken in the worse way. He is just getting by wearing a smile hiding so much from so many. This character really touched my heart I could feel his pain and wanted him to find happiness.

When I close my eyes and manage to block out the horrors going on around me, and ignore the aches and pains on virtually every inch of my body, I can still hear the cheers of the audience as I'm lifted into the air by my teammates. For those few brief moments, as I remember toppling from the top of the pyramid, I feel like I'm flying. I'm free and nothing can hurt me.

But I'm wrong. How long will it take before they stop missing me, stop looking, before I am forgotten about completely? A month? Six months? A year?

I'm no longer a person. I'm a commodity.

Didn't make it past the first chapter

The narrators voice is definitely not right for this book. It was a struggle to make it past the first chapter. I'll stick with the book!

Why on earth pick this narrator?

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I'm just confused as to why this narrator was picked. I had a hard time getting through the story, especially with an older gentleman reading the part of a teenage girl... it was strange and definitely took me out of the story.

Narrator

Narrator sounds like he was chewing gum or had something in his mouth for the entire narration of the book. Love Terry Tower books. The only reason I kept on listening.

audio keeps stopping, not working right..

How could the performance have been better?

have the audio book actually work. Before you sell it.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment in audio, story very good.

So good

This story will make you smile and make you cry. It's a must read. Buy it today you will be glad you did.

Gag me with a spoon...

What would have made The Heartbreaker Series: Complete Box Set better?

I can't decide. Perhaps its the fact that this is 90% from a male's POV and the narrator is female. I couldn't get through it.

What could Jessica Wood have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The writing isn't TOO bad, but i found myself cringing at the narrator's voice and I couldn't concentrate on the words.

What didnt you like about Lynn Barringtons performance?

I didn't like that she was the narrator for a male's POV. it just doesn't make sense. She's tolerable as the leading girl.

What character would you cut from The Heartbreaker Series: Complete Box Set?

I'd shred the whole recording and start over. Sebastian York? Christian Fox? Jason Carpenter? ANY male narrator..pleaseeeeee...

A Twist To A Romance

I love that this wasn't the ordinary romance set. between an unexpected pregnancy and cancer...it added an interesting spin to the norm...

loved it

omg Jessica. i loved it. i can not wait for your next set of books.
