Her kiss might save the world.
Unless his kiss kills her first.
It's been almost 2,000 years since the mer-shifter Skyla walked the streets of Athens - not since her heart was broken by a human man and she exchanged the land and sky for the ocean depths. Ever since, she has lived in the underwater ruins of Atlantis, studying with the priestesses of the goddess Amphitrite, refining her mermaid powers and ignoring her human half.
But her studies are interrupted when she is called upon by the god Poseidon himself to investigate rumors that the world above is being polluted by the magic of creatures from another realm - and worse, that the ocean kingdom of the mer-people might be next.
When her inquiries in modern-day Greece lead her to an American detective asking similar questions, Skyla realizes that the magical problem she's been sent to research is bigger than she anticipated - and that one human's kisses might be more dangerous to her, and her world, than she ever could have imagined.

Only 78 pages but I was sucked in by page4!
A lot of story packed into so few pages and I was left wanting MORE!
Skyla is a Siren that can change to a human but it has been 2000 years since she had been human.
Clay is a cop from the U.S. and is off after he shot a man and it is investigated. For some reason he feels the pull to go to the mans country, Greece. He is out in a boat feels he needs to be there and she's Skyla turn from mermaid to human. Later he is drawn closer to something, he thinks it is her and he finds her and asks her to eat with him.
This is where it gets exciting!
I really enjoyed the book and was sucked into the story after a few pages. Margo just enough to tease but not satisfy! Can't wait for more!
I was given the book for a honest review.
So perfectly tempting!
I really love Margoâs writing, but seriously, this is just a tease! Itâs such a brief glimpse into what is clearly a huge story, and I can definitely say that I am itching for more! I have been promised that there are novellas and novels in the works, so for now, Iâm going to call Sirenâs Kiss an amuse bouche. ;)
Iâm not usually a fan of insta-love, but this is really more like insta-connection. There is clearly a stronger force involved, bringing Skyla and Clay together. They certainly seem to have a very solid link between them, but, because the story is so short, there isnât a lot of room to learn much about them. Clay, especially, is a real mystery for me. He seems like such a genuine and straight-laced character, but there is something dark in his past that has only been hinted at. Skyla also seems to have only the best intentions, but Iâm really curious about her past relationship with a human male. There is mention of the âpriceâ of magicâ but whatâs the cost?! I canât keep the vision of Ursula out of my head, luring Arielâs voice away from her. Itâs all so perfectly tempting!
A copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Beautifully written
An intro to a far greater story, this easy to read novella flies by quickly. The two main characters are formed quickly and travel down a path set forth by destiny. Hints of a romance are there but their journey speaks of far greater things.
