LitRPG News

In personal news, I finally finished writing and editing the 2nd book in the Project Alpha series. I think it’s a really good story that expands on the real life RPG setting established in the 1st book. Good action filled dungeon dives with a variety of themes, neat RPG powers, and some character development thanks to my editors.

I’m trying a pre-order this time with a release date of July 1st, so not that far, but I wanted to see if there’s a difference. I’m also running a promotional sale for book 1 in the series starting today 6/27 till 7/1 where book 1 will be FREE

(picture 0)

Also on July 1st, 4pm PST. I’ll also be doing a Live Stream on the R.A. Mejia author Facebook page and giving away audiobook codes for Project Alpha Book 1, and doing a Q&A.

New Releases and Reviews:

The Azure Dragon: A Heroic Fantasy Saga (The Artar Chronicles Book 3)

Starts to lose the best parts of the story for me.

Score: 6 out of 10

https://amzn.to/2FOVFKZ

Rise of the Crimson Order: A Crematoria Online LitRPG Novel

Mash of a lot of things, but the fantasy MMO detective thing felt forced to me.

Score: 6 out of 10

https://amzn.to/2DZir2F

The Phoenix of Altria: Digital Sorcery Book 2 (A LitRPG Series)

Better opening section, but same adult humor.

Score: 7.5 out of 10

https://amzn.to/2JxdDoZ

Executioner: Reign of Blood: A LitRPG Novel (Chasms of Corruption Book 2)

A decent read, but a few issues make it hard to reconnect with the story.

Score: 7.1 out of 10

https://amzn.to/2DYyOwo

Sentenced to Troll 2

Same likable MC, but less monster culture. Mostly a setup story.

Score: 7.2 out of 10

https://amzn.to/2LIyBE0

Monster [LitRPG series: The Beetle]

Monster MC. Interesting evolution system, but turns into slice of life adventure.

Score: 7.5 out of 10
