"Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful," (Luke 6:36). And there are some very practical ways the Church asks us to show mercy: they're called the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. When's the last time you admonished a sinner, clothed the naked, or fed the hungry? Are we even aware of our duty to serve others in this way?

The more we put into Lent, the more grace we receive and the more climatic our experience of Easter. Hopefully you already know that. If God was only merciful, we wouldn’t need a saviour. If God was only just, no one could save us from our sins. Jesus is the answer to satisfying God’s justice and mercy — he was sent to pay our debt, if only we let him. That, friends, is how we get to Heaven. It’s an offer from on High — dearly paid for on the Cross, but offered completely free to us. Will you take it? Will you share it? Will you live for Heaven?
